"Hey…" Lina raised her other non-injured hand to wave at the two men who were standing a short distance away from her.

However, before she could finish her greeting, her shoulder was grasped and she was yanked away from Reuben's embrace.

Bewildered and amazed at how quickly they had spanned the distance of quite a few feet between them, she nodded her head, impressed with their skills.

She had just opened her mouth to use her words to express her awe for their speed when her jaw dropped looking at what had transpired in a matter of seconds.

While Wade had come forward to pull Lina away from Reuben's embrace, Wayne had moved in Reuben's direction.

In the blink of the eye, Wayne had raised his right hand and sent a devastating punch straight to Reuben's face.

Lina's eyes almost popped out of her sockets as she witnessed the scene of Wayne delivering a fierce right hook.

Reuben had been scowling at Wade for snatching Lina from his embrace when he noticed the other twin rushing in his direction.

Before he could make sense of what was happening, his eyes watched in slow motion how Wayne had lunged forward with his arm moving towards his face.

'What the hell!?' He frowned and quickly tried to evade the punch.

He was aware of the amount of strength that Wayne had used in the punch and this made his body move quicker.

Though he had leaned back to avoid the attack, he was still a tad bit slow.

Lina's heart dropped when she saw Reuben's face whiplashing to the side due to the punch that his chin suffered.

"STOP IT!" She cried out in anger when she saw that Wayne was not yet done.

Wayne turned around when he heard her loud voice and the menacing look in his eyes made Lina flinch as her feet involuntarily took a step away from him.

'I'll let him go for now because Kitten might be frightened.' He inwardly scoffed at the man who attacked him.

Reuben's fist which was in position to hit him back slowly unclenched and he brought it to his face.

The fear in Lina's heart faded when she noticed Reuben's minor action that everyone else had failed to observe.

Jerking the body sideways, she released herself from Wade's hold and strode forward.

In just a few steps, she stood before Wayne and after shaking her head to wordlessly convey her disappointment in him she turned away and walked towards Reuben.

Wayne raised his hand to stop her from moving any further but she had already reached the other man by then.

Lina grimaced when her eyes scanned the man's beautiful face.

There wasn't much damage done since Reuben had used his quick reflexes to dodge the attack.

But this did not mean that he was a 100% unscathed from this short-lived scruffle.

The busted lip was proof of the force with which Wayne had just attacked him.

Lina's heart ached for the beautiful lip that she had just been sucking on which was now torn and bleeding.

"I'm fine, Kitten. This is nothing for me." Reuben reassured her with a gentle smile.

But this seemingly subconscious facial reaction made him grimace when he felt the torn portion of his lips stretching as they formed a smile.

'He's hurting but still acts as though he is fine. Why are boys so bullheaded!?' She wondered as she shook her head in dismay.

She rummaged through her pockets and after finding a tissue, she gingerly raised her hand to wipe the fresh blood that had oozed out of the tear.

Lina had seen him wiping his lips the first time around which was the reason she shrugged Wade's hand away and came towards Reuben.

Now, looking at the fresh blood she felt a blazing ball of fury ignite in the pit of her stomach.

She handed the tissue over to Reuben after she was done wiping his lips and then turned around.

"What the hell was that for!?" She glowered at the two men she called her cousins.

Wade and Wayne glared at the man standing behind their sister before glaring at her.

"What do you mean why!? He hurt you!" Wade yelled in anger as he raised his hand and pointed his finger at her wrist.

Looking down in the direction that the finger was pointing, Lina's eyes fell on the swollen wrist on her right hand.

She raised her hand and tried to move it around only to find that she felt a shooting pain every time she did that.

'I was just alright! So what happened!?' She wondered in bafflement at how quickly her hand had swollen up once again.

"Kitten, we should get you to the hospital!" Reuben clamored in alarm when he saw her wrist.

'The door must have aggravated the injury.' She deduced because that was the only possible explanation she could think of right at this moment.

"I warned him before leaving that I would kill him if he hurt you and look at this now!" Wade shouted in a loud voice which was evidence of the rage in his heart.

'She just recovered from her coma and Dr. Su has asked us to keep a close eye on her and yet this guy dared to hurt her!' He seethed and took a step towards Reuben.

Wade had not yet had his turn of attacking Reuben and this was exactly what he was planning to do next.

Understanding what that look on his face meant, Lina stood before Reuben just like a mother hen would do while defending her chicks from harm's way.

Reuben's glare which was aimed at the twins softened and melted away when he saw the protective stance that she had taken before him.

'She looks like a fluffy kitten trying to fight off an ugly two-headed Hydra!' He chuckled in a low voice after thinking of this comparison.

"Nana, he hurt you and you are looking at us as though we have wronged you!" Wayne grumbled when he saw the fierce eyes that she had directed at them.

Something that she had rarely ever done but now she was doing it because of some other man.

Just the thought of being on the opposite sides of the fight made the twins grimace and frown.

They glared at the man who was smiling like an idiot standing behind their little sister.

'He is the evil-doer!' They narrowed their eyes at Reuben who was still marveling at the brave actions that Lina had taken for him.

"What hurt!?" She scowled at them after rolling her eyes.

"He hurt your hand! Look at how it's swollen like a pig's feet!" Wayne recoiled when he saw the fat and throbbing wrist.

"You!" Lina leered at Wayne for calling her a pig.

She hissed a little as she raised her hand and pointed an accusing finger at the two blonde men.

"You two are the only pigs here!" She retorted with the most juvenile and childish comeback that her mind had come up with.

Reuben snickered when he heard the lack of creativity in the diss that she had made and this successfully earned him a ferocious glare from her.

He raised his hands in surrender and pointed his chin towards the twins.

'They are the ones who need to be yelled at, not me!' He accused with his eyes and jutted his bleeding lip out.

Lina raised her brows looking at his cute actions and turned away to stop the smile that was threatening to leak out.

'Nana, you can admire his cute face later on! First, let's handle these two buffoons!' She returned to her poker face and eyed the twins.

Facing her scanning eyes, Wade and Wayne shifted in their places but they were not willing to admit defeat.

"Nana, we are your brothers. We only want what is best for you and HE most definitely is not!" Wayne announced as he pointed a finger at Reuben.

Reuben silently scowled and rolled his eyes but said nothing in return.

'My Kitten is enough to deal with small fry like you two.' He ridiculed them as a half-smirk appeared on his busted lips.

'I should have punched all of his teeth in!' Wayne raged when he saw the smug face of his best friend.

"I decide what is best for me." Lina responded with a deadpan look on her face.

"This is not the olden days where the men make the entire decision." She preached what every woman wanted to say to their family members.

"Sure, you get to have opinions about who I date but the final decision is still mine." She asserted giving them no chance of making further arguments against her.

Then taking a step to the side, she stood by Reuben's side and hugged his arm.

"And my decision is to date this guy right here, Reuben Ming." She professed with a firm tone as she looked them in the eye.

Reuben was in seventh heaven when she willingly declared that she was dating him now.

"But Nana, he hurt you! Look at your wrist!" Wayne continued with his earlier argument and was rewarded with a scoff from both Lina and Reuben.

"I would never hurt her!"

"He did not hurt me!"

They answered in unison and looked at each other with a blush appearing on their faces.

The twins witnessed this scene and almost felt like puking blood.

Wade cleared his throat to get the dreamy-eyed couple to pay attention to them instead.

"So what exactly happened to your hand if Reuben did not hurt you?" He asked with a puzzled look on his face.

When he saw Lina stepping out of the office, he was sure that he saw her hiss in pain when her hand hit the door.

'That could only mean that she was already injured inside and the only person inside with her was this asshole!' He recalled how he had come to this conclusion.

He had called Wayne and informed him of everything that had happened prior to him being so rudely thrown out of his own office.

Wayne rushed to Obsidia and they waited outside for them and after half an hour they finally appeared.

He was already pissed at his brother for leaving Lina inside with that demon and his anger intensified when he heard Wade whispering about Lina's swollen wrist.

His mind blanked and the only thing he understood was that his best friend had hurt his baby sister.

The next thing he knew was his hand coming in contact with Reuben's jaw.
