"Ruby, what is that?" She inquired while pointing her finger at the large box on the table.

When looked in the direction that he had pointed in, his eyes caught the sight of the big box that had been left abandoned since yesterday.

'If I remember correctly that was something that Grandpa sent over last night.' He recollected his hazy memories from last night.

He fixed his gaze at the box as though he had X-ray vision and at any moment he would be able to see what was inside the box.

'There's that face again!' Lina exclaimed when she found his face contorting into that constipated expression once again.

"Everything alright? Need something?" She inquired and smiled at him in hopes of easing his apprehension.

'A trip to the restroom, maybe?' She completed the question in her mind to spare him the embarrassment.

His brooding face was once again called a constipated face and the Demon Emperor was as clueless as before.

When he heard her caring inquiry about his condition, he shook his head and then smiled before turning his gaze back towards the package.

"That box was sent by my Grandpa who stays in the countryside." He revealed without hesitation.

Since he had promised not to lie to her when she asks something, he was going to follow through with it.

Beginning with right this moment, he sincerely answered about the whereabouts of the package that sat on his table.

Lina's eyes sparkled when she heard his answer and turned towards the package as those sparkling eyes now focussed on the big cardboard box.

Reuben was too busy trying to figure out what could be inside that he had failed to notice the sincere and radiant smile that formed on her face.

'The same Grandpa who was wise and caring?' She wondered while recalling the little information that Reuben had once given her.

If the man beside her would hear the way she had described his grandfather then he would surely choke on thin air.

Caring could be used to describe the old man as he truly cared for his family but could 'wise' be used for the same man?

In Reuben's opinion that man only knew how to be more kooky and silly as time went by.

Especially if the person at the receiving end was his beloved grandson.

Just as Reuben was about to find an excuse to divert his Kitten's attention away from the package, she asked something that he was not expecting of her.

"Ruby, can we open it? Please…!" She requested while batting her lashes at him.

This trick was something she had learned as a child and no man in her family had been able to reject her request after she had used these big guns she hid in her arsenal.

'That looks like a present from his grandpa and I want to see what is inside!' Lina could not sit still while she waited for his response.

The sparkling eyes coupled with the fluttering lashes and the eager expression on her face made it impossible for him to say no.

He could only sigh and nod his head to her suggestion.

"Wait… Let me go and get-" He began his sentence but stopped midway.

'I don't think she even needs a box cutter.' His offer of getting one from his home office was stuck inside as he watched her.

Lina leaped forward the moment she saw his acquiescence.

She felt around to find the edge of the tape and began ripping it apart without a second's delay.

He watched with his eyes wide open as she tore the outer package like a vicious hyena tearing the flesh off a rotting corpse.

'What the hell kind of a comparison was that!?' He sneered at his inner thoughts for comparing the cute kitten to a vicious hyena.

'Lina is a kitten who is just… just a little too enthusiastic about gifts.' He defended her strange behavior.

Looking at how much she was enjoying the mere act of opening the present, Reuben decided that he would shower her with presents just to look at that smile on her face.

However, while he was thinking about the brilliant smile on her face, the very same smile had faded on Lina's face when she saw the contents inside the box.

'What the actual f… ?' Her thoughts trailed off-road when she saw what was inside.

Reuben realized that something was wrong when he stopped hearing sounds of cardboard being ripped apart by his vicious 'kitten'.

'What did he send?' He leaned forward to take a glimpse of what his grandpa could have sent.

The moment his eyes fell on what he had been sent by his 'wise and caring' grandfather, he could feel his blood running cold but at the same time, his face began heating up.

He could not explain how this was possible but he felt both warm and cold at the same time.

Maybe it was the fever which was coming back or it was the shock of what he had seen inside. No one would ever know for sure.

Nevertheless, there was one thing that he was sure about and that was the sudden urge that arose in his heart.

An urge to send threatening messages to his grandfather who had managed to cause him trouble even when he was all the way in the countryside.

"Ruby, why is your grandfather sending you this stuff?" Lina's soft mutters brought him back from the wicked plans he was making to get back at the old man.

Much to his chagrin, he witnessed Lina picking the stuff up from the box and examining it up close.

Lina's hands slightly trembled as she held onto a box of condoms that she had picked from the package.

'Just how many did Grandpa send?' She glanced at the package which was filled to the top with numerous such boxes.

This was the first time that she had held one in her hand and the curiosity soon overtook the shame and embarrassment she felt at the beginning.

Reuben sat frozen in place and could only watch as his brave girlfriend stuck her hand in the box once again and began placing everything out on the table.

"Kitten, this is not what it looks like…" He mumbled as he watched as she completed unloading the contents onto the table.

The large package soon was on the floor and Lina was down on her knees.

No, no, she wasn't doing anything ecchi to Reuben but instead, she was arranging each box of condoms accordingly.

Her inner OCD demon was awakened and she began separating them according to brand, type, and size.

Well, the last one was not a problem since they were all the same size.

'Large? Someone thinks too highly of their grandson.' She giggled at the old man's confidence.

Hearing her chuckle, Reuben felt his face burn when he saw her doubting expression.

"That is the correct size. There is no need to doubt it." He declared and snatched away the box in her hand which he tossed back on the table.

Lina chuckled once again as she nodded at his defensive words.

"Never said you weren't." She immediately looked away to avoid his deadly glare.

'Isn't she enjoying this a little too much!?' He could not help but wonder whether there was something wrong with his kitten.

Other girls would shy away and act coy and here she was, playing with the condom boxes as though they were building blocks.

Soon, a few lines of condoms were seen on the table which even had other boxes stacked one over the other.

"Latex, lubricated, ribbed, dotted, flavored…" She began naming the boxes that she had discovered in the little care package that was sent to her boyfriend.

Reuben had no choice but to cover her mouth as he was more flushed at this moment than she was.

However, Lina escaped from his grasp and held onto one box which sat alone in the pile with no friends of its own.

"Only one glow-in-the-dark? What, grandpa does not want us to have sex in the dark?" She mocked and then tossed the box on his lap.

Reuben felt as though he could fry omelets on his face given how hot his cheeks had become.

'I will be the first guy in history who has less information than his girlfriend in this regard!' He sneered at his innocence.

While he was chiding himself for not knowing as much as she did, Lina was busy counting the number of boxes.

"Forty-nine… Fifty... Fifty one!" She called out as she pointed at the box of glow-in-the-dark condoms in his hand.

"Fifty-one boxes… Wow! Your grandpa really thinks too highly of you." She commented before she realized what she had just said.

"Kitten!" Reuben snarled at her words and narrowed his eyes.

Sadly his threats fell on empty ears as she was busy shoving her head inside the large and now empty package which laid on the floor.

"There's a note in here." She yelled out and waved the note she found at the bottom of the box.

Reuben could not bear any more humiliations before his girlfriend so before she could read it, he leaped forward and snatched it away from her.

He glared at the little winky face that Aloysius Ming had drawn at the end of the note.

Lina, ever the curious kitten was itching to know what this legendary grandfather had to say in the note he sent along with this lifetime worth of condom supplies.

She poked his knee until he awoke from his daze and looked at her inquisitive face.

"Did you know that condoms expire?" He muttered as he alternated his sights between the note and his Kitten.

'Condoms expire?' She too had an equally bewildered look on her face which brought him some relief for being so uneducated in this aspect.
