Standing Right Next To You Chapter 261

Lina smiled as she read the text that had popped up on her notifications bar.
{Make sure to let me know if you need my help.
Your beloved boyfriend}
She blushed and typed up a quick reply for his considerate gesture.
{I will come to you if I need you. Make sure you rest well and recover soon~
Your awesome girlfriend}
The men in the room stared at the woman who was giggling as she focused her gaze on the phone's screen.
'Hmmm…. Interesting.' Leon Jiu rubbed his chin as he observed her giddy and flushed expressions.
The detective embedded in his soul was beginning to awaken as he noticed the coy expressions on Lina's face and the annoyed expression on Benji's.
He scooted to the edge of the chair as he tried to be subtle while taking a peek at her phone.
Anthony could make out that his assistant was up to no good once again and shot him a quick glare but sadly that did nothing to restrain him.
When Lina noticed that Leon could easily glimpse at the texts on her screen she silently locked the screen and shot him a smile.
"Be careful not to fall." She reminded him as her chin pointed at his butt which was dangerously close to the edge of his seat.
As though Lina's tongue was cursed, startled by her words, Leon slipped and dropped down to his knees.
"Pffttt…." The laughter which erupted in the room eased the tension that had been circulating in the air.
Leon jutted his lower lip out in a pout and glared at the three people who were covering their mouths to hide their wide smiles.
They had been waiting for the next step in the Mission 'Save Fairy' when this incident had taken place.

The time they spent inside her office was to let the news that the interns had spread in the company to simmer and slowly come to a boil.
Just as the laughter had died down in the room, there was a knock on the door.
"Phase Two!" Lina exclaimed as she clapped her hands like a child excited upon her first visit to the zoo.
The plan had been explained to each one of them and now was the time to act it out before the audience.
Everyone glanced at each other's faces and gave a nod after preparing themselves mentally for what would happen next.
Lina stuffed her phone in the pocket of her black trousers and rose from her seat while adjusting her clothes.
The men imitated her actions and soon the four of them stepped closer to the door.
However, Benji was smart enough to signal them to stay put.
"It looks like we are going to war right now!" He commented while pointing at their serious faces.
Lina tilted her head and stared at him as though he had forgotten what they had planned earlier.
"So dumb…" He muttered to himself which immediately received a ferocious snarl from his boss.
"Looks like it's time to refresh your memory by sending you to train with Brother Wind!" She smirked while languidly glancing at her manicured nails.
The haughty expression on her face in combination with those threatening words made Benji grit his teeth but all he could do was to scoff at her in silence.
"If we all step outside at the same time looking like we are ready for battle then wouldn't people doubt that we were aware of everything beforehand?" He explained why he had said that.
"Does my eminence, Princess Lina, understand now?" He questioned while mocking her at the same time.

'Definitely going to complain about this behavior to big brother!' She decided as she gave him a scornful nod.
Benji sighed when he got a positive reply from her and moved towards the door.
Upon opening the door, he was greeted with the frowning face of the young man who had thought up this brilliant plan to save his Noona.
Stephen Jin stared daggers at the big man who had opened the door when he had been expecting his Noona to do it.
"Is Noona there?" He questioned though he knew for sure that she was inside.
Benji nodded and stepped aside to let him see the people who were sitting around the couch.
Lina smiled as she acted ignorant of his timely arrival and walked towards the door.
As she stepped outside the room she was met with the scene of every employee in the department staring at them with their eyes not blinking as they did not wish to miss a single thing.
"What's up, Steph?" Lina inquired as she patted him on his head.
Benji rolled his eyes when he saw this impeccable acting that she had presented before them.
Stephen smiled as he held her hand and tugged it to indicate that she followed after him.
Watching Stephen drag Lina to the center of the room, the other employees quickly followed to form a circle around them to watch the show.
"Noona, you must have heard about what has happened in our absence?" He interrogated with a stern voice.
Lina scanned the room with sad eyes and everyone who had spoken ill of her instantly averted their eyes due to the guilt building up in their hearts.
The silent nod she gave him was all the answer he needed as he moved on to say what he had come here for.
"I am sorry that my stubborn requests caused this problem for you. To express how bad I feel for the mess I made, I have come to a conclusion and you need to hear it first from me." He spoke while holding her hand.
'Damn, this guy looks so cool when he is all serious and brooding.' Lina remarked as she continued staring at his face.
When Lina did not answer him but kept looking at his face, Stephen felt his cheeks burn as he tried his best to not smile in this situation.
"Noona?" He called out to get her out of her trance.
Benji shook his head when he saw what had happened and clicked his tongue.
'So much for her 'only having eyes for my boyfriend' charade!' He sneered at the woman who was drooling over this younger man's face.
