'Such joy!' Lina smirked when she first noticed the excitement that had flashed through the faces of the Rong women.

She had said those words to test what they might do and she was not disappointed, to say the least.

'Mandy still has a lot to learn from her mother in terms of being the perfect and 'virtuous' white lotus.' She analyzed and then shook her head.

While Lucille had taken this chance to impress her Uncle Pat by teaching Lina the right thing to do, Mandy had stayed back and focused her glares at her and Lucille.

This would have been the perfect chance for Mandy to try and earn a little bit of Patrick's affection but she had failed to utilize this golden opportunity which Lucille had not let this chance go.

Though Lina had thought so, she was also sure that no matter what these women did her Uncle Pat would never be impressed with them.

'Why would he think about others when he has Uncle Ace and the rest of us?' She snickered in her mind and then shot a provocative glance at the older woman who had just lectured her.

However, this information was hidden from this woman who was still hung up on attempting to make Patrick Yang her own to keep and love, hoping for the impossible to occur.

Lucille glimpsed at Patrick from the corner of her eye to gauge his expressions and was left disgruntled when she saw that he had not looked at her for a single second.

The worried uncle was focusing his eyes on the niece who was about to leave this house and he had no clue as to what had brought this sudden change.

Lina had enjoyed the show enough and now she was willing to announce the real reason for the luggage which she had personally packed earlier.

"Uncle, I have to go abroad for a few days for work related purposes." She disclosed the 'truth' of the matter to the man who finally took a sigh in relief.

'So Nana isn't leaving the house!?' He exclaimed with gladness overflowing in his heart.

Lina had lied about the real reason why she was leaving as she could not speak about her closed-door cultivation in the presence of these women who might get curious about what she truly did.

Hence she had made up a lie that was not a lie in its entirety.

'I am leaving on official business... as LY.' Lina turned sideways and winked at her assistant whose glare she had felt on her back for quite some time now.

'What about the going abroad part!?' Benji's wordless inquiry was easy to comprehend since they had been working together for years now.

Lina bit her lip to stop her chuckle as that part was a lie without a doubt.

Since she did not want to answer any more questions from her uncle or these women which might poke major holes in her cover story, she decided that it was best if she left soon.

'I need to meet Ruby as well!' She cried out in her heart as she had yet to meet that lovely man she had claimed as her boyfriend.

Thinking of her boyfriend, made her cheeks flush in embarrassment at the fantasy she had in the bathroom which made the men narrow their eyes when they noticed that strange pink aura around her.

The eyes on her made her snap out of the second fantasy that she was about to slip into.

'Behave, Nana!' She chided her mind which was becoming lewder with each passing day.

Patrick was about to question her further about this sudden travel plan when he caught the secret glances that the pair of boss and employee had given each other.

'Maybe she has some Obsidia related work.' He deduced and then decided to not question her further about this matter.

Mrs. Ping could not help but pout like a little child when she heard this news about her young miss.

"Miss has just come back and now she is leaving again." She muttered in an aggrieved tone which made the Butler rub her back to comfort her.

However, his charming gesture was not appreciated as the old lady pushed his hand away and glared at him which made the old Butler raise his hands in defeat.

'Did I say that I want you to console me?' The old lady's snarling face was well interpreted by her husband for more than 40 years.

"I will be back before you know it, Mrs. Ping." Lina chuckled as she tried her luck at making the lady feel better.

The instant change in Mrs. Ping's face from her snarling and snapping to the sweet and submissive face nod made the husband feel like his position in her heart was much lower than Lina's.

'Poor man was snubbed by his wife.' Lina pitied the man yet the slightly mocking smile which appeared on her face made the Butler's face to darken further.

"I shall take my leave now." She informed as she looked away from Butler Ping in haste.

She had already spoken to Derek and he had agreed to drive them back to Benji's apartment for a quick stop before dropping them at the hotel that had been reserved for her stay.

Patrick glanced at the butler who ordered the younger male servants in the house to transfer the luggage to the car which awaited their young miss.

"I will be waiting to hear all about your trip once you return home." He whispered once he had come close enough to give Lina a hug.

Lina smiled and hugged him tight while nodding to agree with his plan.

Her uncle was smart enough to understand what had truly gone through her mind and hence he did not interrogate her any further.

Once she let go of the hug, her sights fell on the woman who had just taught her like an elder to not run away from her troubles.

"I will never run from my troubles but will face them head-on when I return from my trip." She smirked as she announced this which was an open challenge to the mother and daughter pair.

While Mandy remained oblivious about what Lina had insinuated, Lucille was sure that she was just threatened by this young lady who had not seen or experienced the world as she had.

Therefore, she curved her lips and accepted the challenge that Lina had thrown her way.

'Such confidence is what I need in my life!' Lina was impressed by the positive attitude she was met with and then nodded at the older woman.

Soon, Lina and Benji exited the Main Hall with everyone following after them.

"Bye, Uncle Pat!" Lina waved once she was inside the car and giggled when she saw her uncle's actions of blowing her many kisses as the car moved ahead.

Lina continued waving until the people standing on the front porch were no longer visible to her.

"Will you stop acting like a kid for one moment?" Benji scowled and pulled her back by her collar, causing Lina to be yanked inside the car.

"Meanie! I'm glad that I won't get to see your grumpy face for a few days." She scoffed and stuck her tongue out at the man who only knew how to chide her all the time.
