While Mandy was content with what she had accomplished today and walked back to her room, the Zheng sisters were discussing the information they had just obtained from their spy in Yang Manor.

"If she is away then we can use this opportunity to get our plan on the road." Valerie cheered as she glanced at her sister to gauge her reaction.

Talia seemed to be lost in deep thought as she tried to think of how to use this chance to execute the final stage of their plan.

The two sisters had made their way back home while Eve Zheng and her friends had remained at the resort to enjoy their spa days.

Talia had important work tomorrow afternoon and was glad that her mother had reminded her to visit the spa and feel relaxed with the treatments they offered.

This way she would look refreshed and beautiful when she goes for the important meeting.

Thinking of the meeting she had prepared hard for, she shook her head at her sister's suggestion.

"We will initiate our plan after a couple of days when the coast is completely clear." She explained and then placed a sheet mask on her face.

Valerie did not object to her sister and nodded as she had just come over to inform about what she had heard from Mandy.

Having completed her work here, she did not find any point in staying back, and hence she tiptoed out of the room after wishing her sister a good night.

Talia smiled as she laid on her bed, thinking happy thoughts to soothe her mind as she let the mask do its magic on her skin.

'Once I am done with the meeting, we can think of the proper time to attack that Lina and destroy her reputation once and for all' She sneered and then shut her eyes.

Lina was unaware of what had happened in her absence at Yang Manor nor was she aware of the schemes that were being made against her.

Ignorant as she was, she smiled as the car came to a halt before the large building.

Benji got out of the car but this time Derek was faster as he ran outside and held the door open for his young miss.

Lina giggled while shaking her head at the childish actions of the chauffeur who was also her friend.

"We will be back soon." She informed him and stepped in the direction of the entrance with Benji following after her.

He was carrying his laptop as he wished to place it at home while Lina visited her boyfriend.

The rest of the luggage was left in the car as they would be here only for a few moments until Lina could break the news of her closed-door cultivation to her boyfriend.

Benji got off at his floor as he did not want to invade their privacy but most importantly, he did not wish to be force-fed a mouthful of dog food.

With this reason in mind, he did not agree to Lina's invitation to accompany her upstairs.

'Such a strange guy!' Lina rolled her eyes as the doors of the elevators shut after Benji had reached the entrance of his apartment.

As the elevator moved upwards, Lina tapped her feet on the floor and waited until she reached the penthouse.

When the elevator stopped at the highest floor, she typed in the passcode and entered the apartment that belonged to her boyfriend.

"Ruby?" She called out when she noticed that the entire place looked deserted with no one in sight.

'Did he go somewhere when I specifically asked him to spend the day at home and recover?' She scoffed when this thought had taken root in her mind.

However, when she reached the couch, she found that his phone was laid on it and this made her rethink her earlier question of where he might be.

"Ruby?" She increased her volume so that he might hear it if he was somewhere inside this large apartment.

This time, Lina heard a voice coming from one of the rooms which made her turn in its direction.

'So he is inside his bedroom?' She shook her head when she realized that the source of the voice was his bedroom.

Since she was in a hurry to leave as she needed to check into the hotel soon and get to work, she decided that she would inform him about her latest schedule and make a move from this place.

With this intention in mind, she strode in the direction of the bedroom and pushed the door open to enter it.

The hand which had been on the doorknob froze along with her entire body when she saw what was inside the room.

The man standing with his upper body bare for her to see and the lower half of his body wrapped up in a towel was what she was greeted with upon entering his room.

Reuben had just stepped out of the warm bath which he had taken to relax his mind and body when he heard his Kitten's voice calling out to him.

"I'll be right outside!" Was what he had yelled out as he wrapped his damp body with a towel to cover up his essentials.

He was about to put on his pajamas when the door was pushed open and his half-naked body came into the view of his girlfriend who was now frozen in the same place.

Tossing the shirt that he had picked up to clothe his nakedness, he stepped in her direction.

Lina took in the view of the magnificent body which was coming her way.

The droplets of water that trickled down the chiseled abdominal muscles on his body made her gulp as she was thirsty all of a sudden and for no apparent reason.

The large V lines which are also called 'Mermaid lines' made Lina want to see what they were pointing towards.

'I wish that towel would drop.' She prayed and then widened her eyes when she realized what she had just wished for.

Reuben had been observing all of her expressions from the moment she had entered his room and this was also not hidden from his eyes.

'What is she thinking about?' He wondered and glanced at her rosy cheeks which were only getting darker with each second.

Lina's eyes which were lowering to continue watching his mermaid lines as he was getting closer to her had to stop as he would realize what she had been staring at.

However, she was too late as Reuben had already noticed her line of sight and was blushing along with her though his cheeks weren't as red as hers.

"Like what you see?" His deep and sultry voice echoed in her ears which made her look up at him.

The man was a whole head taller than his woman which made her strain her neck to look up at him while he gazed down at her.

The sudden and close proximity at which they stood with the view that she had just enjoyed made Lina to gulp as she gave him a subconscious nod, admitting to the question that he had just asked.

Reuben's lips curved in a sinister manner when he saw her acceptance as he leaned closer towards her face, shortening the distance between them.
