"Did you just pounce on me?" His question made her recall the promise he had made to her.

'I will wait for you to pounce on me and only then will I advance our physical relationship.' These words swirled around her mind.

The sudden realization of what her actions had indicated towards was making her blush as well as panic in equal parts.

Sure, they had just confessed that they liked each other more than what they had thought but did this mean that Lina was ready to take their relationship to the next step?

'I am not sure I know what I want.' The confusion and indecisiveness were written all over her face.

Reuben had not meant to put her on the spot as he had just jested by mentioning what she had done in her moment of excitement.

"I will wait for when you truly pounce on me with the intent of swallowing me whole." He growled in a low voice into her ear which made her shudder due to the sudden strange sensation she felt in the pit of her stomach.

'Why did my stomach heat up?' She wondered, trying to make sense of what she had just felt.

New to this feeling, she did not know what it meant but would soon understand that she had her first feeling of arousal right here right at this moment.

Once he had come up with his next plan of action, he was satisfied with it and nodded his head as he decided that this would be his next agenda.

The soft giggle from the woman in his arms brought him out of his daze as he looked down at her.

"Come, let us fill your stomach up." He chuckled as he led her to the kitchen.

Once they had exited the bedroom and entered the kitchen, Reuben pulled the chair for his lady and made her sit before moving to the other side of the kitchen counter.

Pulling the apron of the chair where it had been placed, he put it on and got straight to work.

With her elbows propped up on the counter that doubled as the dinner table, Lina sat with a wide smile as she watched the wide back of the man.

'He will make a great henpecked house husband.' She surmised as she enjoyed the show of her boyfriend chopping vegetables up.

This thought made her remember how he had declared that they would get married sooner or later which in turn made her blush as she cupped her warm and flushed cheeks.

"Should I help?" She offered but did not move out of her chair.

The woman who had once burned the kitchen down while trying to cook a meal was offering help to the man who seemed proficient in what he was doing.

Even though Reuben did not know about Lina's bad reputation in the kitchen, he was not about to ask for her help.

"Give me the honor of feeding my Kitten." He replied with his back towards her.

His speedy actions of moving across the kitchen as he chose ingredients and began tossing them into the pan to cook them without a doubt impressed Lina.

She pulled her phone out and secretly clicked another picture while he was busy preparing a meal for her.

'Such a cute, Kitten.' Reuben shook his head at the naive woman who thought that he had not caught her sly actions.

The counter and the cabinets above him were all coated with reflective laminations which had given him the perfect view of the sneaky deeds that she had just committed.

Though he had not turned around, he could still see that she was gazing at her phone and smiling as she tapped the buttons on it.

Lina had no clue that her sudden stint as a paparazzi was caught by the man as she saved this photo in a private folder.

'For my eyes only!' She named the folder and smiled at the wide back that was visible in the picture.

The wall of photos in Reuben's bedroom had inspired her to keep the memories of certain events in her life as mementos for the future.

Thus, she had also decided that she would keep a folder with every memory they made together.

While she was still in her thoughts on how to create a proper method of storage and assortment, Reuben had completed his preparation.

"Ready!" He exclaimed as he brought over two plates.

The Fettuccine Alfredo that was placed before her looked steaming hot and just as mouth-watering as the one she had eaten back at home, made by Chef Greene.

Reuben's confidence in his cooking skills grew by leaps and bounds as he watched her fork out big mouthfuls of the pasta that he had prepared for her.

"Slow down, Kitten." He chided the greedy woman who was scarfing down her food.

"Ahem!" She coughed the next moment after choking on the mouthful of pasta she had swallowed.

The glare she was bestowed made her chuckle sheepishly as she accepted the glass of water he had passed.

Reuben shook his head as he watched once again gulp down the water as though she had been thirsty for years.

Soon after, the couple sat in silence as they relished the meal that he had worked hard to prepare for his girlfriend.

This was the first time Reuben had cooked something for Lina and this realization hit her like a truck after she was halfway through her meal.

'I forgot to click a picture!' She cried out and pouted as the beautiful looking dish was half empty now.

"I'll cook for you anytime you want." Reuben offered after comprehending why she looked as though she had committed a grave sin.

The smile on her face was the reward he needed for the effort that he had put into cooking for her.

This assurance from him discarded all apprehensions from her mind, making her enjoy the remaining half of her meal.

'I'll speak to her after she's done.' Reuben decided as he watched the pleasant smile on her face which was due to his hard work.
