Lina rolled her eyes at the men who were staring at her with troubled eyes.

Only Benji was the one with a neutral and unaffected expression as he was already aware of his boss' next plans.

"Nana, why are you doing this to me?" Wade implored and his face appeared as though he would cry at any moment now.

'What is with his melodramatic reaction? Did Uncle Pat not tell him about my plan to go abroad?' She narrowed her eyes when she noticed that Wade seemed pretty clueless about her plans.

She had been under the impression that Uncle Pat must have left Yang Manor and headed towards Luo Residence to spend his time with Uncle Ace.

If Uncle Ace was aware of her plans then it was a given that even the twins would have heard about it.

Now it appeared as though Uncle Pat had failed to convey the news of her hasty departure to the boys.

"Did you not meet Uncle Pat last night?" She interrogated as she moved to the chair opposite the one that her brother had taken.

The two assistants stood behind her as they watched the cousins interact in silence.

Wade paused for a second and tried to recall whether he had met his Uncle and shook his head, indicating that he had zero interactions with the man in question.

"He wasn't in the hall when I arrived. Which was late thanks to all the legal issues that I had to deal with for firing Maxene Kang!" He snarled at his sister who was the cause of half of his troubles in the company.

Last night, he had to hold an impromptu meeting with the legal adviser of Obsidia and make sure that the woman who was fired did not have any means to sue them for what they had done.

She had been fired before the end of her contract so there might have been some legal loopholes that she might use to hit their company back.

Thanks to the late nighter that Wade and the legal adviser pulled for the sake of the company, there would be no issues even if she tried to find a false allegation against them.

Hence, when he had returned it was already too late and everyone had gone to bed.

This was also the reason why he had woken up later than usual which caused the delay in arriving at the office.

Lina raised her hands in hasty surrender when she heard his snarling words.

She was well aware of just how hard this brother of hers worked for the company and she did not want to agitate him any further than what he already was.

After hearing his explanation about why he was late last night, she was pleased with his cautious behavior which would save them the trouble if Maxene did want to go the legal route.

"That was a good idea." She shot him an appreciative look along with a thumbs up for his hard work.

Wade was not impressed with the meager actions of gratitude that she had expressed.

"Then do you care to explain why you want to wreck all of my hard work by taking a leave?" He interrogated, not letting go of the frown that sat on his lips.

Since Uncle Pat had said nothing to Wade, Lina decided that she would give him the entire gist of the matter in a few sentences.

"I plan on collaborating with Steph for the Winter Collection. Therefore, my leave in order to enter my closed-door cultivation is necessary!" She announced the reason for her request for a leave.

Everyone in the room knew about her identity as LY hence they weren't surprised by what she had just said.

However, they had gloomy faces after hearing her words.

They were well aware that what this young lady called closed-door cultivation was in fact a chance for her to live like a slob until she got the motivation to create her designs.

None of the people who knew about this method liked it when she insisted on following it but they had no choice but to accept her actions.

Lina pouted when she saw the displeasure on their faces as she had already heard words of rejection when she had mentioned about the same to Ruby.

"I am doing this so that your company gets greater profits!" She scowled at the man who sat before her with his eyes narrowed and lips curved downward.

The moment these words slipped out of her mouth, Wade's brows raised in derision as he smirked at her.

"This company is yours, Nana! Have you forgotten about that!?" He sneered at his sister who seemed to have skipped this part of her identity.

For a second, Lina froze before her cheeks became red with embarrassment as she had truly messed up this time.

'I've been lazing around under the disguise of a consultant that I forgot who I truly am!' She scoffed at herself for being so absent-minded.

Benji shook his head and was sure what the reason for her lax behavior was.

'She must be so busy with that man that she forgot that she is a CEO just like him!' He mocked his boss for the mistake that she had just made.

Lina could feel Benji's scalding gaze and did not dare to turn around and meet his gaze.

"Right… My company…" She muttered to herself and chided her brain for forgetting about her baby, Obsidia.

Wade shook his head and then waited for her to explain further about the new collection that she was talking about.

Given the chance to change the topic, Lina did not hesitate to clench it and began narrating everything that had taken place since she had entered Steph's workspace yesterday to this very moment.

'Of course, I am not going to tell him about what Ruby and I did while we were in his apartment.' She lowered her head to hide her blush.

Once Wade was filled in on the details, he nodded as he agreed with her plans to make new designs that accentuated Steph's designs.

But at the same time, he was reluctant to let her follow her method as that was unhealthy according to him.

Lina was reminiscing the moment she and Reuben shared last night which made her hand move to the part where her boyfriend had left a mark on her.

The men in the room did not find anything weird with the woman who had her head lowered as she touched her neck.

"Make sure that she takes care of herself while she is in seclusion." Wade ordered Benji who gave him a blank stare.

'This woman won't let anyone close to her when she is in this period.' He shook his head at the VP, silently rejecting his commands.

Lina spoke up in order to not cause any misunderstanding to arise between them.

"No one can interrupt me which means that Benji will not be there. He will drop me off at the hotel and leave." She explained why he had refused to follow the instructions given to him.

Though he was reluctant, Wade had no other option but to agree with her plans.

"Make sure you take good care of yourself and I hope I see you with the same weight when you get back!" He teased her which made the woman growl at him.
