'What?' Mathew Kim scowled when he saw the glares pouring in from every direction.

Talia was the one with the lethal glare at his disrespectful behavior while Benji and Reuben glared as he was interrupting the moment.

Lina was the only one who was with him on this as she too was trying hard to suppress her laughter.

'Mathew is so brave!' She guffawed in her heart that he had dared to do what she wished for.

She averted her eyes to not break the self-control that she had been exercising by not laughing out loud at her boyfriend's dry and deadpan answer.

'Ruby just shot her down cold.' She snickered inside and bit her lip to stop the smile which was desperate to make an appearance.

No matter how hard she tried to conceal the smile, it was evident to the person who was watching her every move.

Talia had turned away from Mathew and this was when she noticed the smirking face of Lina Yang which increased her fury.

But… She was still in the presence of her loved one and all she could do was put a pin on the raging waters in her heart.

"What do you mean by that Brother Reuben? Have you forgotten about the meeting between the Ming and Zheng Group?" She questioned him in response to his harsh words.

This statement made the Boss and Assistant of the Ming Enterprises frown at the same time.

"Are you here because of the collaboration meeting and not to pester my Boss like you usually would?" Mathew interrupted the woman who was pouting like a child right now.

'I do not pester him!' She growled in her heart but could only nod in reply.

Talia had been waiting to have a proper conversation with Reuben and it caused her immense displeasure when it was the Assistant who decided to answer her.

Reuben was pleased with the faithful Eunuch's actions and decided to give him a couple of more benefits during his paternity leave.

'Find out why she is here and send her away quickly!' He glimpsed at the other man who nodded, understanding what his boss was trying to convey.

Lina and Benji had not spoken a single word since they had stopped here since there was no need for them to even move a finger.

'Ruby and Matt can do the work for us.' She cheered them on as they would have to teach this woman a proper lesson today.

Talia's appearance and her haughty behavior had not sat right with Lina and she was going to prove to the Zheng woman that her presence was not required around Reuben.

Lina was satisfied with Reuben as he had understood the purpose of the texts that she had sent to him and was also working towards it.

"Of course, I am here for the meeting! After all, I am the liaison for this collaboration between our companies." Talia's proud announcement brought Lina back from her thoughts.

She whiplashed towards Talia and stared at her with her eyes wide open.

'Eh!? I wanted to throw this woman out of Ruby's life and she already became a person who is needed for this collaboration?' Lina grumbled in her heart that the plan she had made was already falling apart.

Reuben noticed his Kitten's agitation and pressed the palm that was in his hand which made her look up at him.

'You do not have to worry about her.' His silent assurance brought her back to her neutral indifferent appearance.

This reaction of hers gave Talia a soothing sensation in her heart as she had managed to irk Lina even if it was just for a few seconds.

'There's more to come.' Talia sneered as she would not let Lina stand next to her loved one for too long.

A moment of silence pervaded them before a scoff was heard.

Everyone turned in the direction of the sound and found that it had originated from Mathew Kim once again.

"Though I highly doubt it…" He began and glanced at her from top to bottom.

The figure-hugging dress which made her breasts almost pop out of it coupled with the exquisite makeup she had on made the Assistant sneer at her.

'She looks like she is going to a gala rather than to a business meeting.' He rolled his eyes after analyzing her appearance today.

"Even if that were true, don't you think that you are too late?" He continued and smirked as he looked Talia in the eyes without backing down.

Talia's glare for checking her out and mocking her seemed to have been ineffective as he was not cowering under her gaze as the others would.

"Why wouldn't I-" Her words were cut off without remorse.

"If you are here for the meeting then you might as well leave, Miss Zheng." He spat out without a care for her status as the Queen of socialites.

She was being disrespected by a mere servant every second she stayed here so the anger in her heart was coming to a quick boil.

"Because the signing ceremony ended more than 20 minutes ago." Mathew revealed the final shocking information to her.

"What!?" She exclaimed as it was now her chance to widen her eyes in surprise.

'They did not wait for me to arrive?' She pondered and the answer was right before her eyes.

'Oh, how the tables have turned~' Lina was enjoying the scene as she stood with Reuben by her side.

Talia was under the impression that the employee her father had sent as the one in charge of the project, Mr. Wang would certainly stall the meeting until she arrived.

After all, her presence was needed at this ceremony.

Though now it seems that it was all in her head, she was never needed and the position of liaison was just a glorified title with no actual significance to it.

Lina was observing the changes taking place on her face and could comprehend the many thoughts that were swirling in her mind.

Talia had walked into this building with confidence that she was someone invaluable to the project that would soon be signed between the two companies right in her presence but she had overestimated her worth.

After hearing Mathew's words, it was clear to everyone that there was no difference whether she was here or not.

How could Talia Zheng accept the fact that she was given a worthless position with no actual value?

She was not someone who would accept defeat easily and was ready to turn the situation around in her favor.

'So what if I do not have any work here? I convinced daddy to give me this position to get closer to Brother Reuben and that is my sole purpose here!' She cheered herself right back up.

"If the signing has been completed successfully then this means that our companies have become partners now." She clapped her hands, appearing to be in a cheerful mood.

The people surrounding her were stunned to see the sudden change in her demeanor.

'She changes colors in an instant!' Lina remarked, impressed with how quick she was.

"How about we celebrate the signing over lunch and drinks, Brother Reuben?" Talia offered while showing off her pearly white teeth.

'This snake sheds skin rapidly!' Mathew was appalled when he saw this.

For once, even Benji had a slight twitch at the corner of his lips when he witnessed her shameless behavior.
