"No foreplay, not even a kiss and he wants to drag me into bed." Lina sneered at the man who stood frozen before her.

Reuben stood still without moving an inch as he stared at the woman glaring at her, causing him to be confused.

'Yea, so now you know what you did wrong?' She scoffed at him for being so impatient and inconsiderate towards heer.

The first time was special for every girl and she also wished for her first night spent with her boyfriend to be memorable for the rest of her life.

This was an important experience for her and she did not want it to be done with just because he couldn't wait.

"Stop staring at me like that!" She scowled when she found him standing in the same position.

Reuben was speechless after listening to her complaints.

The grievances written all over her face was making him want to laugh out loud but he controlled himself lest he piss her off any further.

'What exactly goes on in the mind of hers.' He shook his head at her over imaginative mind.

Yet, the next moment, a smirk appeared on his lips as he climbed onto the bed.

One knee followed by the other was placed on the bed as he moved towards her on all fours.

Lina widened her eyes at his shameless actions and scooted away but there was only so much place on the bed.

Soon her back was pressed onto the backrest of the massive bed and following that Reuben had already cornered her.

Looming down on her, he looked her in the eyes and leaned dangerously closer.

This made Lina shut her eyes as she waited for him to make a move but even after a few seconds she did not feel his touch which made her eyes open once again.

"What thoughts are going on in your mind, Kitten?" His deadpan voice was heard followed by continuous pokes on her forehead.

Lina was dazed for a second at being in such close contact with him on the bed but that soon faded when she heard his words.

However, before she could reply to his chiding words, Reuben was a step ahead of her.

"I was trying to get you to sleep and not to sleep with you!" He defended himself from the accusations she had thrown at him earlier.

Having said his piece, he moved away from her and sat up on the bed while pulling her up as well.

"I knew that you would have an extremely unhealthy lifestyle after hearing you talk about your 'cultivation period' and there was no way that I would let you spoil your health while I am still around." He declared in a righteous manner as it was the right thing for him to do.

Lina's eyes remained widened as she continued to hear his explanations which had blown her mind by now.

"You can work all you want during the day but I am going to keep an eye on you during the night to make sure that you do not lose sleep over it." He revealed his big plans for her.

The reason why he had made an appearance here today was because he needed to ensure her health while in this period of seclusion which he had not liked one bit.

He had not gone against her since it was her method of working and he knew that each person had a different way of dealing with things.

'But that does not mean that I am willing to let her become nocturnal by staying up all night.' He scowled when he recalled her speaking about her previous times.

Benji had already taken care of her meals so now was his turn to take care of her and look after her work hours so that she did not strain herself while working.

Everything that she had heard was out of her expectations, making Lina unable to react for quite a few seconds.

"So… You… Did not…" She mumbled while pointing between them.

Reuben looked at her gestures and rolled his eyes as he leaned closer.

"Of course, I do!" He snorted at her obvious ways.

'Now I am officially confused! One second he says no and in the other he says yes?' She narrowed her eyes at his conflicting behaviour.

Reuben sighed and leaned to kiss her forehead.

"Like I said before, I will wait even if I want to do it." He reminded her and plopped on the bed.

It was hard for him to restrain himself but he would continue to do so until she was ready and willing to pounce on him.

Lina realized that he was speaking the truth and felt embarrassed at the thoughts that had been swirling in her brain.

"Lay with me." His gruff and seductive voice echoed in the silent room.

Reuben patted the space beside him where he wished for her to lay.

Obedient as she was, she did not wait for him to ask twice as she laid beside him turning on her side to look at his face.

"You just want to sleep?" She whispered while looking into his eyes.

Reuben gazed at those golden flecks in her eyes and nodded in answer.

"Only sleep." He added to prove his innocent feelings which held no lewdness in them.

"You will leave each day to go to work and come back after you are done?" She prodded again.

"That's the plan." He answered while holding her close.

Pulling the sheets over their bodies which rested close to each other, he shut his eyes and smiled when he felt his Kitten snuggle in his arms.

"I could have done fine without you coming over." She muttered while pouting.

'This makes it seem like I am a child who has no self control.' She shook her head, which indirectly rubbed against his strong chest.

"But I'm glad you came over." She looked up with a wide smile gracing her face.

Reuben frowned at her which made her tilt her head.

'I said something sweet and that is his reaction?' She was baffled at the frown which was deepening as she continued to look at him.

"Get some sleep before I make that sleep disappear completely, Kitten." He spoke in a low tone, gritting his teeth as he said those words.

'When did her smile become so seductive?' He fretted as he looked away from her face.

Lina thanked her lucky stars that he had looked away as her cheeks had turned a bright red after she understood the meaning hidden in his words.

A warning that if she did not sleep soon then Reuben would ensure that neither of them would get any sleep for the entire night.

"Good night!" She blurted in embarrassment and buried her face in his chest to hide her red cheeks.

Reuben nodded at her while keeping his eyes away from her and turned the lights off, bringing about darkness in the room to help them get some rest.

'This going to be a long night…' He sighed when he felt her body rubbing against his as she tried to find a comfortable spot in his embrace.
