The breakfast was mostly silent but at regular intervals, Reuben would break the silence to remind her to take care of herself.

By the time they had completed their meal, Lina was more worried that he would start lecturing her once again rather than focusing on the hatred she had for his breakfast choice.

Reuben noticed her pouting face and decided to stop now before she lost her cool at him.

"I will call you during lunch hours." He promised as he rose from the table.

Their used crockery was left on the table as the staff would soon arrive to retrieve them.

Lina walked forward and held the suit's jacket which was in his hand and helped him put it on.

Dusting his shoulders after she had adjusted his collar and tie, she looked up only to find that he was looking down at her with a smile on his face.

'My mother would do this every day when my father would go to work at Ming Enterprises.' He recalled the memories of his childhood.

Renee Ming would help her husband, Felix Ming wear his jacket and even help him with the tie before she sent him to work each day.

The chances to see that beautiful scene each day had lessened now due to Felix's retirement but whenever there was an event or function, Renee would still make it a point to help her husband in this small way.

Remembering these incidents of his past, Reuben's heart was tingling when he found that he and his Kitten were standing in the exact same position right now.

"What?" Lina tilted her head and inquired when she saw that he remained silent while continuing to smile.

Without giving her an answer, he leaned down and placed a kiss on her lips.

Lina was surprised by his sudden actions but a smile appeared on her lips as she remained in contact with his lips.

Though they wouldn't gain a chance to move any further in their endeavors as the doorbell had rung, causing them to separate from each other.

"The staff must have arrived." Lina mumbled while blushing as she headed towards the door.

'That kiss was so pure!' She squealed in her heart and calmed her blossoming emotions as her feet stopped before the door.

Reuben was checking his emails on his phone when he heard Lina's confused voice.

"Reuben?" She called out while turning towards him.

'Why did she call me with that name?' He wondered as he found something strange with her way of addressing him.

Lina was now used to calling him Ruby and the only times when she changed the way she called him was when there was someone else present.

His eyes narrowed as the only person they had been expecting was the hotel staff but based on her reaction, it might have been someone else altogether.

'Who could it be?' He wondered and decided to take a look for himself.

Nodding at her, he stepped closer towards her direction as his eyes were fixed at the door.

The person standing outside the suite came into his view which lowered his vigilance by a large amount.

"I will be right outside." He informed and headed back to the couch to pick up his laptop bag.

Lina was standing in the same place, confused as she was earlier, and alternated her gaze between the two men.

Reuben handed the bag over to the man standing outside and then reached forward to hold his Kitten in his arms.

"I will be back after work so stay indoors and do not open the door unless you see the Mager's face through the peephole." He instructed her on what must be done while she was alone.

Lina rolled her eyes at the man who was still treating her like a child.

'I have no intentions of leaving the room anyway.' She scowled but did not retort as there was another person present there.

The one who was silently observing their interaction was a newcomer whom she had never seen before today.

However, taking into account how Reuben had not reacted too strongly and even handed over his work-related bag into the man's hands she had made a simple conclusion.

'He is someone Ruby works with.' She surmised after giving it a moment's thought.

'Why is she looking at him?' Reuben narrowed his eyes when he noticed that his Kitten's attention was on another man.

Glaring at the person outside the door, he held her tight in his arms which caused her attention to be relocated.

"Goodbye kiss." He demanded and leaned closer which made both Lina and the new man to widen their eyes.

Though they had the same reaction, the thoughts in their minds were varying on a large scale.

'What is he doing when people are around!?' Lina widened her eyes as she turned her face away.

'Is this still the same Master I know?' The man was bewildered at the bold and slightly shameless actions of the man who was holding the woman in his arms.

Not only was the person known as the Ice Emperor holding a woman in his arms, but he was also willing to kiss her when others were around.

This behavior of his was greatly different from his usual indifferent and cold attitude which everyone was used to watching each day.

Thus, the man standing outside the door was stunned to witness this rare moment occurring right before his eyes.

Reuben's lips had not touched the soft lips which he had been longing for, instead, they were planted on her cheek due to the quick movement she had made at the very last second.

His displeasure was visible on his face as he stared at Lina for denying him the chance to taste her lips.

'Stop looking at me as though I have wronged you!' She scowled when she noticed his aggrieved face.

"Reuben, ahem… There are people here…" She whispered and cleared her throat in an attempt to signal what she was trying to say to him.

The only people who had witnessed them kissing were her brothers and her assistant so to do the same in the presence of a stranger was causing Lina to hesitate.

"Forgive me if I have made you uncomfortable, Madam!" The man bowed in urgency as he apologized for his wrongdoings.

'Why is he even apologizing!? The fault lies with this man!' Lina glowered as she turned her gaze towards her boyfriend.

This was when she noticed that Reuben was glaring at the man which could explain why he had made such a sudden apology.

Reuben stopped glaring at his subordinate when he felt her eyes on him and turned around towards her with a sheepish grin on his face because she had caught him red-handed while he was threatening the other man.

"Please, rise, Sir!" Lina clamored when she saw the man was still bowing before her.

"Trigger." Reuben muttered with a scoff.

The woman looked up when she heard him while the man stood up straight as well.

"Kitten, meet Trigger. My new assistant until Assistant Kim returns from his leave." He introduced the two to each other after he said those words.

"Madam!" Trigger yelled out in admittance of the hierarchy present between them, making Lina almost choke in surprise.
