Noticing Lina's surprise, Reuben felt a strange sense of satisfaction filling his chest.

He had many such properties as after all, Ming Enterprises mainly dealt with real estate and property dealings along with its construction and development.

So it was not uncommon that he too owned a few private properties in his name.

However, many people did not know of this as he had made sure to keep it under wraps in order to not gain more attention than what he already had.

Lina sat staring at him for a few moments and only after that did she open her mouth.

'I'm sure that she is going to praise me.' He surmised as the people who knew of his personal ventures would always appreciate his keen business sense.

Much to his chagrin, what he got was not an approving pat on his back but a stifled snicker coming from his Kitten.

Confused at this strange turn of events, he stared at her and watched as she raised her hands in defeat while shaking her head.

With her head lowered, she shied away from his gaze while thinking of what she had just heard from him.

'That building belongs to him?' Lina guffawed internally as she tried her best to hold it in.

It took her a couple of seconds to regain her composure and finally, she looked up at him.

"So you named your building after a typo?" She raised her brows while controlling her laughter once again.

Reuben was quick to understand what her words meant and also why she had snickered after hearing his revelation.

"There was a miscommunication during the construction of the building." He defended himself but he could observe that she was not buying it.

When that apartment building was constructed, he had named it {RESTRINGIDO} as that was his safe haven away from his family who were not aware of its existence.

Restringido meant 'restricted' in Spanish which was to prove that his family was restricted there.

Only he could know about this piece of land as it was his sanctuary.

Sadly, the person he had left in charge of the construction had not only failed to understand the deep meaning hidden in this name but he had also messed the spelling up.

This way, Reuben's building had turned from Restringido into {RESTRINDIGO} which was the name even to this day.

When Lina had first visited this place, she could not help but chuckle while thinking of the idiot who had dared to name such a beautiful building with a typo.

'Turns out that idiot is my idiot.' She was pleasurably enraptured by this thought.

Reuben frowned when he saw that she was still making fun of him for this and decided to turn their conversation around.

"Continue making fun of me and I won't tell you what I learned about your brother from Benji!" He huffed in mock anger as he folded his arms across his chest to indicate that he was mad at her.

Lina halted all movements when she heard her elder brother being mentioned and straightened her back.

Sitting ramrod straight like a soldier in the army, she made the gesture of zipping her lips to indicate that she would not mess with him any longer.

'Who knew that Ruby was so cute!?' She bit her lips to hide her smile.

With the mention of her elder brother, the previous matter of the hacking incident was thrown away as they moved to the next topic.

Lina then nodded his head, asking him to speak further about the information he had extorted from Benji.

She knew that her assistant was loyal to her elder brother for whom he had worked earlier, therefore, Reuben could only have forced Benji to reveal information about his previous employer.

"He seems to be off on some other business and cannot contact others for the time being." He lied through his teeth in order to not make her worried about his safety.

He was planning to surprise her when he had a more intrinsic report from Trigger who was assigned to this job.

Therefore, he decided that it was best to keep her happy instead of ruining her mood by revealing that he was truly missing.

Lina knew that her brother would often disappear but it was never for this long.

Hence she did not believe his words instantly which even he had observed.

"He is currently with his close friend. What was his name…" He added to make his lie more believable.

This time, Lina did not have that suspicious look on her face as she rolled her eyes at the mention of this other person.

"Tristan?" She scoffed that name out, annoyed just by recalling the last conversation they had before she had lost all contact with her brother.

'He said that he is the most important person in Big brother's heart!' She sneered at that audacious and haughty young man who did not know his place.

Reuben silently observed the various expressions that flashed across his Kitten's face after she had repeated the same name that Benji had disclosed this afternoon.

Once again, he felt a strange nagging feeling in his chest when he thought of this man who was close to her elder brother.

Accompanying that nagging feeling was the words that his Grandpa Ming had said during their phone call.

'Another brave young lad will snatch her away…' These words resounded in his ears which made him grit his teeth.

He could not understand why he was experiencing this oddity when he had not yet met this Tristan man.

However, he knew that this was very much like an ominous premonition that his inner conscious was warning him about.

A storm was about to hit them which made him clench his fists which laid on his lap.

When Lina snapped out of her scowling thoughts about that arrogant friend of her brother, she found Reuben sitting next to her in a daze with his eyes narrowed.

"Ruby?" She called out to him, awakening him from his trance filled with ominous thoughts.

Pushing those thoughts away, Reuben smiled as he pulled her closer, into a tight hug.

Lina could not grasp the reason behind this sudden hug but she assumed that there was something on his mind which made her hug him back.

"It will be alright." She muttered while rubbing him back in an attempt to reassure him.

'She has no clue about the weird thoughts in my mind yet she comforts me.' Reuben smiled as he kissed the top of her head.

Lina smiled at his actions and continued to hug him though she had no clue why he was behaving this way.

He was beginning to realize that he was being swayed by his strange feelings whenever he heard this man's name when he hadn't even made an appearance in their life yet.

'I will not let anyone snatch her away from me!' He declared and was determined to be extra vigilant of this new person who gave him a sense of insecurity.

This person named Tristan had not yet arrived in their lives yet Reuben has such a deep sense of vigilance against him.
