When Reuben opened his eyes, what greeted him was the fluffy violet hair of his Kitten which had now covered half of his face.

Her head laid on his chest which resulted in her hair being on perfect display before his eyes.

She was curled up in his arms with her body over his chest and her leg over his thigh.

'She looks so cute when she is asleep!' He exclaimed when he saw her rubbing her cheek over his rugged chest to find a comfortable position.

As much as he wished to remain in the same place with time frozen to watch as she laid on him, he knew that he had to get to work soon.

'I have about an hour before the workday begins.' He noted after taking a glimpse at the wall clock.

He had taken enough leaves a few days ago and could not afford to spend any more time away from his responsibilities as the CEO of Ming Enterprises.

Having found his resolve, Reuben made careful movements so as to not wake the sleeping Kitten in his arms as he rose from the bed.

He sighed in relief once he had extricated his body from hers without disturbing her sleep.

'She said that she is going to work harder today so let her sleep for longer now.' He decided and turned off the alarm on his phone to ensure that it would not disturb her sleep while he prepared for his day.

However, he wasn't aware of the fact that his Kitten had set an alarm on her phone as well which would go off a little later.

Ignorant to this, he cheered for his victory and exited their bedroom.

Once he was sure that he was out of her earshot, he called the front desk and asked them to send their breakfast over in precisely twenty minutes.

'I can wash up and get dressed in the meantime.' He surmised and returned to the bedroom.

Picking up his towel and a bathrobe, he headed to the bathroom to finish his morning routine in the earliest possible time.

For the past few days that he had been staying over at the hotel with Lina, Reuben had been unable to follow his early morning workout routine.

However, as Lina had declared that she would end her seclusion period soon he knew that he would be able to get back to his previous schedule soon enough.

"Need to keep these muscles toned for my Kitten." He chuckled as he rinsed the lather off his wet body.

Soon, he was done with his shower and after wiping himself dry, Reuben tiptoed back into the room while dressed in a bathrobe.

He then went ahead and got dressed without fear of being watched as he was sure that his Kitten was still asleep.

Standing before the mirror, he gazed at his black suit with a white shirt and the crimson red tie which made him look like a dapper gentleman.

'Perfect.' He praised as he adjusted his tie and collar one last time before turning around.

It was time for the hotel staff to bring over their breakfast so he made sure to remain silent as he once again left the room.

Unfortunately, just as Reuben had shut the door and begun walking towards the entrance of the suite, his efforts of maintaining silence all along had gone down the drain.

The reason for this was the woman on the bed whose eyelids fluttered due to the vibrations of her phone which laid on the table next to her side of the bed.

Lina groaned and patted around to find her phone after which she shut down the alarm without taking a glance at the screen.

Her desire to get some more sleep drifted away when her arm which had raised to snuggle closer to the man, fell flat on the bed.

'Hmm?' She opened her eyes in confusion and stared at the empty space where Ruby should have been sleeping.

'Did he leave already?' She wondered but the clock displayed that there was still time before he could leave.

Sitting up in bed, Lina ran her fingers through her hair and flexed her muscles to alleviate the drowsy feeling that still lingered.

Her actions stopped and her ears perked up when she heard the sound of the main door of the suite being opened.

'Is he leaving without saying goodbye again?' She pouted and hopped out of bed to see him off before he left for the day.

Walking barefoot, Lina pushed the bedroom door open and strode out but froze at what she was seeing right now.

A few seconds earlier,

When Reuben had left the bedroom, he had no clue that his Kitten had awakened due to the alarm that she had set on her phone.

He walked to the couch as he checked his emails on the phone, browsing through them to see if something urgent had been sent to him while he was asleep.

As he was perusing the emails, he heard the sound of wheels followed by the footsteps of a person who had come to a halt right before their door.

Therefore, he strode towards the door in haste.

Before the person could ring the bell and disturb his Kitten's sleep, he opened the door for them and moved aside to let them enter.

However, Reuben paused for a second when he realized that the person standing outside his room was not the Manager who would usually come along with the staff to serve their meals.

Instead, it was a female employee in a waitress's uniform standing right outside with the trolley containing their breakfast.

Once his surprise faded, Reuben continued his movements and stepped aside to let her in.

However, the lady remained frozen outside the door with her eyes widened at the sight she faced.

The Manager had taken a sick leave and therefore he could not be present today.

His tasks were assigned to his assistant who had no clue about the people who were staying in Room 802.

Therefore, he had sent a random waitress over to the room to deliver their meal.

The waitress who had acquiescence to this job was now bursting with joy as she was serving the one and only Emperor of the city.

Only a few people in this city would say that they did not know who the Emperor was.

This lady was not one of them, she was well aware of who this man was and was also very knowledgeable about his status and prestige in society.

Therefore, her mind had gone blank as she continued to gaze at the handsome face of the Emperor, forgetting that she had come here to complete a task given by the Deputy Manager.

"How long do you plan on standing there?" Reuben Ming interrogated in his ice-cold voice when she stood as still as a statue, staring at him with her eyes widened.

He was pleased with the service of this hotel earlier but this lady was changing this impression due to her unprofessional behavior.

Coming back to her senses after hearing his annoyed words, the waitress blushed in embarrassment as she pushed the trolley inside the suite.

Her eyes darted around the room while making sure that she was subtle about her scrutinizing gaze.

With the Emperor following after her, she sauntered to the dining table and bent over as she began arranging the breakfast there.

'This is breakfast for two but I do not see anyone here.' She wondered while arranging two sets of crockery on the table.

Turning around, her eyes darted to the bedroom door which remained shut, and then fixed her gaze on the man who was at a distance away from her.

Reuben was beginning to feel impatient with her constant glances and just as he was about to order her to leave, he heard her speaking up.

"Sir, may I serve you…?" These coquettish words were the first thing that Lina heard when she exited the bedroom.

Raising her brows, she stood at the same spot to witness the show happening before her.

'Do I smell drama early in the morning?' She smirked and made no effort to announce her presence.

Reuben was facing the dining table which meant that neither he nor the waitress had noticed the third person standing in this room.

"Serve you any way you like…" She whispered this last part of the sentence as a blush took over her face.
