Secrets Of The Universe Chapter 211

Kaleyx crinkled her nose at Jake, "You mean, there is another celestial like me?"
She did not like where their conversation was going.
"Yes," Jake admitted while smiling.
He had withheld the information long enough and now he got to see a look of disbelief on Kaleyx's face. It was worth it.
Jake told her, "Cheyenne is the princess of Aztec. She was born into royalty but for her to possess a celestial bloodline, she is probably in the same situation as you."
He pushed away his meal cart as he was done with it and stood up.
Walking towards Kaleyx, Jake grabbed the newsletter in her hands while she still tried to process the words Jake said a minute ago.
"...Hmmm, it says here that after the shipwreck of the surviving Aztec crew, she and a lucky few others washed up to nearby islands and later found themselves in the sect. They joined the sect as a student of the academy and ushered in a new take on the power of the younger generation. Apart from the Aztec crew, there were other people belonging to the other kingdoms that survived. They were also part of this amalgamation of the young generation," read Jake.
If he remembered well, he was an indirect cause----or maybe the direct cause of the Aztec's shipwreck.
He reckoned quite a few people survived but couldn't help wanting to check who actually died.
Also, since his escape was masked by the attack of the sea serpents, even if his identity was found out by one of the surviving crew, he would just be pegged as one of the lucky few that survived.
Jake continued reading the newsletter, "The chief disciple of the sect, despite proven to not be a deterring force to this new batch of talents, has announced with his team the monthly update of the disciple's ranking."
It was then that Jake realized one of the characteristics of a sect; It was all about fighting for a position.
In fact, it was strange that the chief disciple had not yet been overthrown but only defeated. This showed that he or she was destined to be the sect master despite his inferior strength.
He was probably the best option for the sect elders and had the reputation and character to back it off.

"First on the list is Cheyenne Aztec. This princess need not be talked about again. She boasts of only a mysterious bloodline. Yet, her natural talents carried her to this point. As of now, she had fought multiple students as well as sect elders but had not lost a single match. In the sect master's word, she is an unstoppable force. Her current strength is [Realm-3 Stage-3]" Jake read line for line.
It seemed that Kaleyx had gotten over the information bomb and listened to Jake's entertaining words.
"Second on the list is another from Aztec, Jaya. As an orphan of Aztec, this young lady had gone out of her way to be the best of the best. Her main strength lies in her dual swords, strange variant elements, and also her bloodline. Of course, her pure talents which were said to be above five stars attributed to this. Her current strength is [Realm-3 Stage-3]" read Jake.
Having been one of the few to actually know Jaya, he wasn't surprised that she survived and also that she had grown strong.
However, he was shocked about the bloodline part. He had no idea about that but then again they probably also weren't aware of that.
His bet was that her bloodline was awakened by a traumatic experience like the shipwreck!
"Third on our list is yet another person from Aztec. He goes by the name, Nico and is the titled owner of godly strength. Just like his title, he possibly has the strongest physical power. Not just that, he is yet again another person with a variant element, and superior talent. His current strength is [Realm-3] Stage-2," read Jake.
His mouth twitched as he read the details around Nico.
First of all, the crazy bastard had finally tapped into half of his potential and was likely a dangerous opponent.
After remembering their last encounter, he graded Nico as a greater threat than Jaya.
'It seemed he is still hiding his true self,' thought Jake.
Nico was taking his advice, hiding his horrible self under the facade of his previous self, which by the way, brimmed with immense positivity.
"Going by the trend, it would be a shock to see that the fourth on the list is not someone from Aztec. However, he is still royalty but this time, royalty from the Silver Kingdom, Prince Chris Argent. A lot can be said about this seventeen years old young man. First, rumors say that when he was born, the first thing he touched was his father's sword. Later on, anytime he threw tantrums, only by giving him a sword would he keep quiet. Yes, you can guess where I'm headed. The child of swords, Chris. His attainments in swordsmanship are said to be unimaginable. A true swordsman that had been praised by 'the sect elder and even Princess Cheyenne, who said his swordsmanship was incredible. Coupled with his innate talents, I reckon there is nothing the sword progeny can't cut. His current strength is [Realm-3 Stage-2]," read Jake.

He didn't know the prince but he was sure that any swordsman was a big deal.
"For the fifth on our list, we go back to Aztec! Another Aztec orphan, Lola, is probably the strangest on the list. She is the only one that got the biggest boost in this update. After all, being an archer wasn't as easy as swinging a sword. However, due to her recent feats, I can assure you, she is just as deadly as the previous names mentioned. It was even worse considering her speed was the fastest among the students and her elements were truly meant for someone like her. It seems her isolated training on Mount Tempest wasn't in vain. Her current strength is [Realm-3 Stage-2]," read Jake.
It seemed another one of Jake's previous companions was on the list. With that, the trio was fully accounted for.
Jake sighed and took a cup of hot tea.
He thought he had left his past behind him with the shipwreck, but now almost everyone he knew was here.
"The sixth on the list is none other than the beloved chief disciple, William Knight. He is the direct student of the sect master. He was previously the strongest student of the academy. However, he is not in any way weak. He is still strong enough to rank in the top ten. Not to even talk about his light element, which is quite special in its own right. His current strength is [Realm-3 Stage-5]"
"The seventh on the list is none other than Prince of Aztec, Roan Aztec. Now, he should have been ranked upper on the list but due to his fluctuating strength, he is only ranked with his stable base strength. His Aztec bloodline probably still needs a lot of training, but I can guarantee that once he fully masters it, the top five would be threatened. Nevertheless, his current strength is recorded at [Realm-3 Stage-1]"
"The eight on the list for this month is Princess Zyra, the heir of Brilliant Kingdom. She is a brutal princess which says a lot. When wielding her whip sword, she is unstoppable and is one of the few people that could land a hit on Princess Cheyenne. Her current strength is [Realm-2 Stage-9]"
"The ninth is Princess Sierra Aztec. This quiet princess is also another force of destruction. With her special physique and natural element, she could damage almost anything that threatened her. Not to talk about her famous healing ability. She is the most versatile person on the ranking, on par with Cheyenne in terms iof versatility. Her current strength is [Realm-2 Stage-9]"
"The tenth on the list is the master of arms, Joan Grimm. He is self proficient in weapons like guns and throwing projectiles. He claimed to be able to use any 'new' weapon and he had proceeded to back his claim by defeating many students. His current strength is [Realm-2 Stage-8]."
"The eleventh on the list is Princess Avery White. The excess of princesses on the list makes me think it is their era. However, Princes Avery's standing wasn't a fluke. She is strongest enough to be on the list. Her current strength is [Realm-2 Stage-7]"
"The twelfth on the list is….."
"The thirteenth on the list is…..."
"The fourteenth on the list is...."
"The fifteenth on the list is....
"The nineteenth…."
"The twentieth…..."
After fully reading the top twenty, Jake just skimmed past the lower rankings.
His original aim was to see how his strength fared with the others from his generation.
His results were as expected. While he might struggle to defeat the second to ninth, he was sure he would be able to clinch a win one way or the other.
However, as for Cheyenne, he wasn't yet ready to take on the celestial

Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com.
