Adrianna had to wait over an hour before Ayanna's phone began to ring. It was Nicole.

Ayanna placed the phone on speaker mode right after picking it up. ​​

"Cedric is here. So are his driver, Camilla, and Ian." Nicole said.

"How is Cedric?" Adrianna suddenly said. Adrianna had remained silent for the whole hour that they were waiting.

"Miguel managed to stabilize his condition, but he is still unconscious. If it's safe for you to come over we've placed Cedric in the VIP room." Nicole told Adrianna.

"How about the others?" Adianna asked.

"Cedric was the one with the worst injuries. From what we could tell, the truck had hit specifically at the back seat behind the driver, where Cedric usually stays. Camilla and the driver stayed conscious the whole time but they have some broken bones. As for Ian, we think he might have tried to pull Cedric away, Miguel also had to operate on him and we had to keep him under anesthesia for him to recover quicker." Nicole explained.

"Thanks Nicole." Ayanna said, dropping the call.

"Mom can we go?" Ayanna asked.

Priscilla looked at Alexi and Ray. The two boys had been coming in and out of the house after pooling together their resources to figure out what had happened.

"We'll check with uncle Emilio." Alexi said as they both went to Emilio's office.

"Ram?" Ayanna asked.

"Don't worry Ayanna. I've suppressed the news on this. No one will know about what happened to Cedric. I've also spoken to the social media companies to delete all traces of what happened." Ram said as he understood immediately what Ayanna wanted to ask.

Alexi and Ram came out of Emilio's office and told everyone that they needed to wait a while before leaving.

"The police and the security teams are securing the roads we will go through. Since we don't want people picking up on this we need to keep all the preparations quiet. As it is the employees at Saints are wondering why there is heightened security." Alexi explained.

"Do you mind if I rest for a bit, I'm feeling a bit dizzy?" Adrianna asked.

"Sure, I'll accompany you up since you aren't familiar with the house yet." Ayanna offered.

As Adrianna lay on the bed she couldn't help but cry. She was worried about Cedric. She was also regretting the words she had told them that morning. It was true that she was mad at him, but she would always love him and would never leave him. She was overcome with fright.

After another hour Ayanna woke Adrianna up and helped her pick out something to wear.

Together the whole family drove to Saints Hospital. In order to divert the attention of the media, Ray had arranged for Eric to make a surprise appearance at the other end of the city, after which Eric would follow to Saints Hospital to visit his friend.

In the car Adrianna was still quiet. She played with her hair mindlessly.

She was surprised when a soft hand held hers. It was Priscilla's. Her mother in law's actions had somehow managed to calm her a little bit as she was reminded that she was not in this alone, and that Cedric's family and friends were with her.

"He's a strong man Adrianna." Priscilla told her.

"I know Mrs. Reyes. I'm just worried about him." Adrianna confessed.

"Please Adrianna, we are family. I won't remind you again, please call me mom." Priscilla said with a warm smile.

"Alright mom." Something about calling her mom warmed Adrianna's heart.

"Cedric is in the best care possible, Miguel operated on him and he is at Saints. They have the best health care. So don't worry Adrianna." Emilio said.

"Stay with us while Cedric recovers, Adrianna." Ayanna invited.

Adrianna simply nodded.

At Saints Hospital, the family entered through the basement in order to avoid being spotted by other people.

When they arrived at the VIP room, Miguel and Jo stood over Cedric checking on him.

"Jo?" Adrianna asked seeing Cedric's highschool friend.

"Adrianna! I swear I was shocked to find out that our VIP patient was Cedric. I still can't understand why." Jo Meneses said as he approached Adrianna.

"How is he?" Emilio Reyes asked.

"He's stable now uncle. I needed to operate on him and it was successful, but I don't know how long before he regains consciousness." Miguel explained to Emilio.

"Mom, Dad, Ayanna. This is Cedric's friend from high school, Joseph Meneses." Adrianna said, introducing Jo to her in laws.

"You must be the nurse. Congratulations on making it into Miguel's team." Emilio said, offering his hand for Jo to shake.

Jo panicked and almost tripped on his own feet.

Ayanna laughed at the man's panicked expression.

"Don't worry, that happens all the time with dad." Ayanna said with a wink.

"If you haven't realized yet, Cedric is the Reyes heir. For now that's all we will tell you. I'm not sure what else my son is willing to share, and we have always respected his plans." Emilio explained.

Adrianna moved to take a seat next to the unconscious Cedric and she held his hand.

"He was lucky that Ian tried to save him. If it weren't for Ian, I don't know if Cedric could have made it here in time. He was also lucky that he had Leon and his team. They managed to give him first aid and get him here in record time." Miguel said, trying to explain what he knew had happened after the accident.

"We'll go and check on the other patients." Emilio said as he signaled everyone to leave the room.

When they were alone Adrianna fixed the stray hair on Cedric's face and began to tear up.

"Honey, I'm here. Honey, please wake up. Cedric I'm sorry I got mad. I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I need you to wake up now. I miss you." Adrianna said as she kissed her unconscious husband.

Adrianna was hoping that this would somehow wake him up like in all the movies she had watched, but Cedric stayed unconscious.
