After two weeks Miguel gave the go signal to discharge Cedric, his injuries hadn't healed completely but it was safe enough for him to go home. In order to give him the best care Cedric and Adrianna went home to the Reyes House.

Adrianna had been brought to work by Mia and her team in Cedric's Audi. Over the holidays Emilio Reyes had all of the cars refurbished in order to avoid an incident like Cedric's. She had also gone to the Hernandez family meeting twice without Cedric, as a result her relatives began asking questions. Some were hoping that the couple had a big disagreement and that they would be on the verge of separating. They each had their own eligible bachelor in mind to pair with Adrianna. Whenever her relatives would ask where Cedric was she said that he was visiting his sister abroad, at that they would comment on how disrespectful the Reyes family was for snubbing them for so long, especially since they were the richer family. ​​

When Adrianna came home and told her in-laws about this Ayanna laughed so hard that she fell off her chair. If the Hernandezs found out that Cedric belonged to that Reyes Clan and was that Reyes Heir they would all be changing their tune.

"It's just so funny that we have a common last name, so people never suspected that I belonged to a rich family." Cedric said as Ayanna got back up on the seat.

"That's true. If you had a less common last name like Ray or that stupid Chris guy I think I would have assumed the moment we met." Adrianna explained.

"I think that's why the poverty training has worked so well all these years." Cedric said as he brought a piece of steak to his mouth.

"Will you come with me to the next family meeting?" Adrianna asked her husband.

"Miguel gave me the go signal, so yes." Cedric said with a smile.

Suddenly Adrianna's phone began to ring.

"Uncle Matthew?" Adrianna asked as she picked up the call.

Cedric could hear a frantic voice on the other end of the line.

"Where is he now?" Adrianna asked with a worried tone. Adrianna's tone suddenly alerted the whole family.

"Okay. We'll come over now." Adrianna's voice began to shake as tears formed in her eyes.

Cedric came up behind Adrianna and held her. Adrianna turned to Cedric and began to cry.

"What's wrong Adri?" Priscilla Reyes asked, worried about her daughter in law.

"Grandpa suddenly had a seizure. He's been complaining about headaches and how he couldn't taste or hear sometimes. Uncle Matthew brought him to the hospital the other day for a check up but he hasn't heard from the doctors. Suddenly an hour ago grandpa collapsed." Adrianna explained between sobs.

"Where is he now?" Cedric asked.

"He's at Saints." Adrianna told her husband.

Ayanna quickly picked up her phone and called Nicole.

"Hey Nicole, Adrianna's grandpa is there. Could you give the Hernandezs the VIP treatment?" Ayanna asked.

"Yep, Ced and Adri should be headed there in a while. Make sure to give him the best doctors." Ayanna reminded.

"We'll see if he needs Miguel, I know you guys have the best doctors in the country even without Miguel. Thanks girl!" Ayanna said as she dropped the call.

"Nicole said she'll deal with it without them finding out about Cedric." Ayanna told Adrianna.

"Adrianna, I'll have a driver ready the Audi. You can go upstairs to change." Cedric said in an attempt to calm his wife down.

Adrianna nodded and went ahead upstairs.

"Nicole said she would call with an update. I'll text you when I have it." Ayanna told her brother.

Cedric and Adrianna drove to the hospital as fast as possible. Since Cedric couldn't drive yet due to his injuries he had a driver take them. Since Cedric's accident they had made it a point to shuffle cars when they went out and to make sure that all possible directions were blocked by a security vehicle in order to deter Carlos De Dios.

When they got to Saints Hospital, Cedric helped an exhausted looking Adrianna out of the car. Ayanna had sent him a message that Grandpa Hernandez was now in a stable condition and that he was in a private room on the second to the highest floor of Saints Hospital. On that floor people believed it to be the VIP ward, it was the VIP ward available to the public. The top most floor was reserved to the five families.

When Adrianna and Cedric arrived in Grandpa Hernandez's room Matthew Hernandez, Margaret Hernandez, Henry Hernandez, Asia Hernandez and her mother Celine Hernandez, Gracia and Charles Hernandez, and Cathy Hernandez were already there.

"What happened to grandpa?" Adrianna asked.

"We are waiting for the doctors." Matthew explained.

Right on cue two doctors entered the room. Cedric recognized them as members of Miguel's team. It seemed they had expected to see Cedric in the room as there was no hint of surprise in their eyes.

"Mr. Hernandez it seems your father has a Meningioma, and it has already developed to a significant size." One doctor explained.

"What are your recommendations, doctor?" Matthew Hernandez asked.

"It should be removed. But the operation will be quite dangerous due to the location of the tumor as well as due to the patient's age." The doctor said.

"Is an operation the best option?" Charles Hernandez asked, looking at his father.

"Yes, but as I said it has its risks. The tumor is located in the petroclival region and doctors normally avoid operating on these. If you can find a willing doctor, then we can proceed. We will also check among our colleagues who is willing to operate." The doctor explained.

"Thank you doctor." Matthew said.

When the doctors left the family discussed among themselves.

"Doesn't that Miracle Doctor work here? What's his name again?" Celine Hernandez suggested.

"Miguel Chan." Adrianna said looking at Cedric. Cedric already knew that Miguel would need to operate on grandpa Hernandez.

"I'll see if Mark can get his contact details. He's one of the five princes together with Ray Laurence." Asia Hernandez boasted.

No one was in the mood to call Asia out on her prideful ways so they all simply agreed.

"I'll try to see with my connections as well if they can contact Miguel Chan." Matthew told everyone. "For tonight, go home and get some rest."

"I'll stay with dad." Cathay Hernandez volunteered.

At that the rest of the family said their goodbyes and left the room.

In the hallway Gracia stopped Adrianna and Cedric.

"What is going on between the two of you?" Gracia asked her daughter and son in law.

"We are fine mom. We're staying somewhere else for the meantime." Adrianna said not wanting to expose Cedric's secret.

"Fine. I'll let you be for now. But you better give me an explanation. Your dad and I will go ahead." Gracia said, dragging her husband away who just waved at his daughter and son in law.

"Your mom really is quite the woman." Cedric teased.

"I really don't understand why you let her push you around for years." Adrianna said, shaking her head.

"Come on. Miguel is waiting for us. He already agreed to do the operation." Cedric told Adrianna.

"When?" Adrianna asked, confused especially since Cedric hadn't spoken to Miguel the whole time.

"He sent his doctors, so that means he'll do it." Cedric shrugged. "Plus he sent me a message." Cedric said, waving his phone.
