But she suddenly paused after noticing two familiar figures in front. It was Jun Xiyan and… Old Master Gu.

Old Master Gu was clad in a chinese tunic suit while holding a walking stick. He seemed to be waiting for her and Gu Mohan.

Tang Mo’er’s eyes met with Old Master Gu’s. She could sense an astuteness in his gaze.

Gu Mohan turned his head around, looking in Tang Mo’er’s eyes while he reassured her, “Return to your room first, hm?”

Tang Mo’er looked at him, his gaze was comforting and reassuring, he appeared to be able to handle everything.

“Mm.” Tang Mo’er turned around, returning to her room.

Her hand was just on the doorknob, preparing to open the door when she heard Old Master Gu’s voice. “Mohan, why did you come back to the hotel together with Miss Tang? Xiyan is your fiancée and yet you left her behind in the hotel alone, this isn’t appropriate. I’ve made a trip here to discuss with you the date of your wedding with Xiyan. You should get married soon.”

Get married?

She quivered, pausing in front of the door.

Gu Mohan watched her from behind, he noticed that she paused when she heard the phrase ‘get married’.

A few seconds later, Tang Mo’er got a grip over herself and entered the room.

She had faith in Gu Mohan, she believed that he would be able to handle everything well. He would never two-time, his morals and gentlemanly ways would forbid him from even thinking of doing so. He would choose one, between Jun Xiyan and her.

After Tang Mo’er entered her room, Gu Mohan stood in front of Old Master Gu and Jun Xiyan. He looked at Jun Xiyan apologetically. “Xiyan, I’m sorry, I can’t marry you.”

Jun Xiyan was bewildered. “Mohan, what do you mean?”

Gu Mohan looked at her and remained calm. “I need to take some time off to reconsider our marriage. I’ve fallen for Tang Mo’er and if we were to still go ahead with our marriage, it simply wouldn’t be fair to you.”

“You’re saying that, you’re going to forsake me and choose Tang Mo’er?”

Between her and Tang Mo’er, he chose Tang Mo’er without even giving it a second thought.

“Yes.” Gu Mohan nodded his head and looked in Old Master Gu’s direction. “Grandpa, I won’t be marrying Xiyan. Please don’t bring this matter up again.”

Gu Mohan then walked into his own room after speaking.

Jun Xiyan looked at Gu Mohan leave, feeling incredibly hurt. How could he be so decisive and mean towards her, yet so loyal and faithful to Tang Mo’er?

She assumed that if she just grabbed the opportunity and stayed by his side, she would have made him hers. But she was wrong. Gu Mohan fell for Tang Mo’er once again, even after he had lost his memories.

They were back to square one again.

Before Tang Mo’er appeared, everything was going well, but it was a totally different story after she appeared.

He was always unapproachable and reticent but towards Tang Mo’er, she was the only exception, the only one that was able to shake his world.

Old Master Gu looked at Jun Xiyan, asking her, “Xiyan, you are planning to give up already?”

Tears welled up behind Jun Xiyan’s eyes. “He doesn’t want to be with me, what else can I do?”

“Xiyan, as long as you’re willing to fight for Mohan, I have my ways. Trust me with this.” Old Master Gu was firm.

Jun Xiyan looked at Old Master Gu, she didn’t know what ways he had, but he sounded so confident. She trusted him.

She wanted to have one last go at it. Every person has the right to chase their own happiness. Now that she had been given such an opportunity, she didn’t want to let go of it.

It was because she truly loved Gu Mohan.

Tang Mo’er sat on the passenger’s seat as her gaze riveted to the man on the driver’s seat. Gu Mohan had changed into a clean white shirt with trousers. A black leather belt was around his trim waist, he was charismatic indeed.

His hands were on the steering wheel, effortlessly making a turn, increasing his speed.

“Mr Gu, your fiancée is still at the hotel. What would be in your mind while you send me home, leaving her behind?”

Gu Mohan looked at her, stretching his hand out to hold on to her jaw. He ran his fingers over the skin around her jaw tenderly and smiled. “Stop beating around the bush, just ask me what you want to know about.”

He had read her mind.

His touch was ticklish for her, she looked at him with glassy eyes. “Old Master Gu has already decided on the date. Mr Gu, will you really marry Jun Xiyan on that day?”

“Do you want me to get married to Jun Xiyan?”

“No.” Tang Mo’er shook her head, the sun rays shining down on her face and making it glow. She murmured softly, but with determination, “Mr Gu, you’re mine. I want to be your Mrs Gu!”
