He loved her so much that he could ruin an entire city just for her.

Back then, he had ordered for the entire Capital to be filled with dandelions while he held Lin Xuanyin in his arms, the two of them enjoying the view while standing on a tower. He had done it on purpose, it was only after Lin Xuanji witnessed the scene and was heartbroken while leaving that place that he felt satisfied inside. He had taken his revenge.

“Jinwen, you should have continued hating her, why did your heart soften? Why did you continue to be tempted by Xuanji?”

Lin Xuanyin couldn’t understand his actions, why did his heart soften?

Lu Jinwen closed his eyes, not revealing any expression on his face. By the time he reopened his eyes, he behaved as though nothing had happened and their conversation had never taken place.

Everything was just like a dream to him, he would forget about it quickly.

Lu Jinwen took her hands off of his body, his voice a little husky as he said, “Xuanyin, you saved my life back then and I’ve given you everything that I could possibly give you. But I have my limits, there are two things that I can never give you.”

“I’ll keep my promise and save you. No matter where Lin Xuanji is, I’ll make sure to find her. The transplant was halted back then but rest assured, once she comes back we’ll continue.”

Lu Jinwen then walked away, leaving the place after speaking.

As always, he chose to leave.

Lin Xuanyin stood there, not knowing what to do. She actually wasn’t that worried about the heart transplant. Lu Jinwen had already authorized the heart transplant back then and if it wasn’t for that incident, Lin Xuanji’s heart would have already been transplanted into her body.

But if it wasn’t for that incident that ruined Lin Xuanji back then, would he have agreed to the heart transplant surgery?

Lin Xuanyin was aware that she was being too greedy. She wanted everything, things that he was able to give her and those that he wasn’t able to give too.
