Tang Mo’er started to slow down.

The doctor then walked over, handing over a report to Lu Jinwen. “Mr Lu, it’s confirmed, Miss Xiaorou is two weeks pregnant. Everything seems fine for now.”

Lu Jinwen had both hands in his pocket and he just slumped against the wall, glancing at Tang Mo’er with the tail of his eye.

Their eyes met for a brief moment.

“When can I know whether the baby is a boy or girl?” Lu Jinwen asked the doctor.

“Mr Lu, the earliest date will be around 40 days later, we can do a blood test to know the result by then.”

Lu Jinwen nodded. “You may leave.”

“Understood.” The doctor then left them alone.

Xiaorou placed her hand on her tummy, though she was only two weeks pregnant and her baby bump hadn’t even showed yet, she behaved as though she was already seven months pregnant. Lu Jinwen’s child was bound to be either a young master or a little princess, no matter what, her child would be dignified and born with a silver spoon.

Xiaorou looked at Lu Jinwen with a tender gaze and with a gentle voice, she said, “Mr Lu, I have a feeling that my baby is a boy. Mr Lu, I’ll make sure to give birth to your son since you don’t have one.”

Just then, they heard a baby voice, “Grandma, don’t worry, my body is as tough as a bull.”

Lu Jinwen looked over, Lin Xuanji was holding onto Little Munchkin’s hand while they walked over together.

Today, Lin Xuanji was dressed in a purple cheongsam with a dark gray shawl over it. Her satiny hair was just draped over her shoulders and she wore a pair of pearl earrings. Lin Xuanji glanced at Lu Jinwen before her gaze riveted on Xiaorou, who was beside him. Xiaorou appeared to be in her early twenties, of similar age as Mo’er. This Xiaorou was as beautiful as a flower.

Lu Jinwen was almost approaching 50 but his immense wealth and status only accentuated his personal charms. He was suave even at that age and when he stood with Xiaorou, he appeared to be like a president with his secretary.

Xiaorou was still excited and she continued speaking coyly, “Mr Lu, I’ll still give birth to more sons for you after this!”

Give birth to a son?

Lin Xuanji’s expression changed.

Lu Jinwen remained expressionless, he merely glanced at Lin Xuanji impassively before he spoke, “Let’s go.”

He then brought Xiaorou with him and left.

Lin Xuanji and Tang Mo’er brought Little Munchkin with them as they left the hospital when Tang Mo’er asked, “Mom, Lu Jinwen seemed to have found a young and beautiful woman to give birth to his son.”

Lin Xuanji could only smile as she noticed Tang Mo’er’s concerns. “Mo’er, don’t worry, Mom will handle all of it.”

Tang Mo’er definitely believed in her mother.

Qi Xi then drove the car over and carried Little Munchkin into the car. “Mom, let me take you home first before I take Niuniu to the set.”

“Mo’er, you can just head to the set yourself. Let me take Niuniu home for the weekend while you go and work, Mom will take care of Niuniu for you.”

Tang Mo’er gave it some thought before she nodded and replied, “Fine, Niuniu, you must be good and listen to Grandma. I’ll bring you all to have some good food when I come back.”

“Okay, goodbye, Fairy Sister.” Little Munchkin waved his hand and bid her goodbye.

Tang Mo’er then got in her car and left.

Once she left, Lin Xuanji held Little Munchkin’s hand while she tried to flag down a cab by the side of the road. With a screech of burning tires, a luxury car stopped in front of her.

The window wound down and Lu Jinwen’s face appeared, he was driving the car while Xiaorou sat in the passenger’s seat.

Lu Jinwen’s gaze landed on her. “Get in, I’ll give you and Niuniu a lift.”

Right when Lin Xuanji was about to reject him, Little Munchkin held her hand and asked, “Grandma, it’s Grandpa. Can we get in Grandpa’s car?”

Little Munchkin’s eyes had lit up, he obviously liked Lu Jinwen.

Not able to reject Little Munchkin, Lin Xuanji opened the door to the backseat. “Niuniu, let’s get in the car.”

In the luxury car.

Lin Xuanji had Little Munchkin on her lap while she sat in the backseat. When the car drove past a jewelry shop, Xiaorou spotted it and mentioned, “Mr Lu, can you go to that shop with me? I’d like to buy some beautiful jewelry and accessories.”

Xiaorou had just gotten pregnant and she already had intentions of prospering thanks to her baby, demanding for jewelry at such an early stage.

Lu Jinwen didn’t stop the car, he stretched his hand out and handed a box to Xiaorou. “This is for you.”

Xiaorou lowered her eyes to look, it was a ring inside! She had some knowledge about jewelry and with one look, she could already tell that it cost a load. “Mr Lu, how much is this ring worth?”

Lu Jinwen was expressionless when he replied, “Tens of millions.”

Xiaorou gasped, he gifted her with a ring that’s worth tens of millions!

The man was definitely a lavish spender.

Xiaorou accepted the ring happily. “Mr Lu, thank you! I’d make sure to give birth to a healthy son for you!”

Lin Xuanji lifted her eyes to look, the ring was the exact one he used to propose to her that night.

He had given the ring to Xiaorou instead.

“Grandpa, you’re going to have another son?” Little Munchkin was oblivious as he asked.

Lu Jinwen held the steering wheel firmly, his other hand preoccupied with a cigar. He wound down the window as he took in a puff of the cigar, leaning his left wrist out of the window as he exhaled out a stream of smoke.

Lifting his eyes, he glanced at the backseat among the smoke that surrounded him, the corners of his lips kicked up. “Grandpa doesn’t have a son, there’s no one to inherit my entire business empire and wealth. Since someone is not willing to give birth to my son, since she doesn’t care about the things that I gave her and no longer fancies me, I’ll go to someone else then.”

He then pointed at Xiaorou with the same hand he used to hold the cigar. “See, once I confirm that she’s pregnant with a baby boy, I’ll make a will and leave all of the assets under my name to her. Niuniu, Grandpa will definitely leave a portion for you, I won’t remove you of your rights.”

Lin Xuanji looked at the man on the driver’s seat, he puffed on the cigar while furrowing his brows and looking at her. He let out a chuckle while looking at her, that laugh was so distant and cold.

He was clad in a custom-made navy blue shirt and once the window wound down, the wind from outside caused his shirt to billow out. Men like him were dangerous yet charismatic at the same time, so much so that one just couldn’t take their eyes off of them.
