Lu Jinwen knitted his eyebrows together. His eyes were rimmed with red. Turning around, he took big steps towards Lin Xuanji and clutched her shoulders with his large palms and he laughed. “It’s alright. Even if that dandelion has flown away, we can always plant another. As long as you stay, I will plant dandelions with you in the future. Is that alright?”

Lin Xuanji pushed him away. “Lu Jinwen, you already know my answer. I won’t stay.”

Hearing her words, he squeezed her shoulders tightly and interrupted her with an angry howl. “Lin Xuanji!”

Lin Xuanji turned pale. He was hurting her.

Realizing the pained expression on her face, Lu Jinwen froze. He reflexively drew his hand back and placed them on his forehead. It was all a mess. What was he supposed to do now?

As though they had dog food shoved down their throat. No one expected this emperor of the Capital to become such a loyal dog after being subdued by a woman.

This was probably Lu Jinwen’s type of love confession. He had always been strong-willed and tyrannical.

Lin Xuanji’s face remained unchanged. She shook her head. “Lu Jinwen, it’s not possible. No matter what you do, I will be leaving.”

Before she was even finished with her words, Lu Jinwen raised his arms and put the gun to his head again.

She was leaving.

But the bullet that everyone was expecting, never appeared. There were no bullets in the gun. He had fired a blank.

Lu Jinwen’s handsome features turned sharp and cold. He pressed his thin lips hard together tightly, until it was only a white line. He looked at the gun in his hand. Why were there no bullets?

At this moment, Lin Xuanji’s cold, taunting laugh sounded beside his ear. “Lu Jinwen, what’s the meaning of this act?”

Lu Jinwen raised his eyes to look at Lin Xuanji. She stood beside the door, looking at him lightly.

She knew he had done it on purpose!

Butler Ye lowered his head.
