The doctors and nurses truly admired him, he was just like their idol.

An’an’s gaze turned cold, the corners of her lips raised to form a sardonic smile. These people were so shameless, broadening her horizons so much.

“An’an, are you feeling better?” Team leader Jiang Guo had come.

“Leader, I’m feeling a lot better now.”

“That’s great.” Jiang Guo handed a note over to An’an. “This is what you asked for.”

An’an opened the note, it was an address.

An address of a grave.

An’an hailed a cab to go to the address. The address was given by Jiang Guo’s teacher. It was the address of Blood Eagle’s parents’ grave.

The cab continued driving into a secluded area, eventually arriving at a grave.

An’an opened the door, alighting from the cab. She looked at the tombstone in front of her, the cold wind blew past her while the branches around made some rustling sounds. The graves were visibly of some age, there were a few cracks here and there.

Clenching onto the note tightly, she went inside.

She found the two graves easily, there were side by side. The tombstone was new, she could tell that someone regularly visited the grave.

An’an was still wearing the striped hospital clothing inside, only putting over a black coat on the outside while her hair was put in a low ponytail.

She looked at the photograph on the tombstone. She first saw his father’s photograph. Blood Eagle’s father was tall and appeared really warm-hearted and kind.

Next was his mother. His mother was indeed a beauty, Lu Yan’s probably inherited his good looks from his mother. His mother was smiling in the photograph, appearing so gentle and kind.

His parents’ lives were too unfortunate.

An’an’s eyes turned red, she slowly lifted her hand, wanting to run her fingers over the tombstone. But in the next moment, she heard some steady footsteps. Someone was approaching.

An’an quickly hid behind a tree.

Was it him?

He hadn’t admitted to his identity yet, that was his principle and also a form of protection for her. Though she was already certain that he was Blood Eagle, now that she was going to unveil his identity, her heart thumped wildly and her palms were sweaty.

Taking a deep breath, she lifted her eyes and looked in front.

Someone had come, it was an imposing figure. The thick soles of his boots made some rustling sounds as he stepped on the leaves. He walked over, traveling through the misty air.

It was Lu Yan.

An’an saw Lu Yan’s handsome face, he pursed his lips like he always did and his facial features appeared even more cold and chiseled.

It was really him.

Tears welled up in An’an’s eyes. She looked at him without blinking her eyes even once.

Lu Yan arrived in front of the two tombstones, placing a bunch of flowers down. He was already long past the age of talking about his feelings, so he didn’t talk much but just stood there. He only started talking after a few moments.

“Dad, Mom, that girl named An’an, she’s going to become your daughter-in-law soon. I’m going to work even harder to make her pregnant. I want to be a father, I’ve been wanting to become one for a really long time.”

He told his parents, he fell in love with a girl and her name was An’an.

An’an couldn’t help but smile, tears trickling down her cheeks unconsciously. Why? Why did she have to feel sad even when she was experiencing such a wonderful moment?

She moved, making a sound.

“Who is it?”

Lu Yan’s deep voice was heard, instantly shooting an eagle-like gaze in her direction.

An’an’s heart thumped.

Did he discover her?

“Yan Zi, it’s me.”

Another voice was heard. It was Li Si.

Li Si glanced at An’an before he walked over towards Lu Yan.

“Why are you here?” Lu Yan’s wariness dissipated.

Li Si arrived beside Lu Yan. “It’s Uncle and Auntie’s death anniversary today, I knew that you’d come. I heard that An’an’s almost recovered, what are your plans for the future?”

With the mention of An’an, Lu Yan’s eyes crinkled into a tender smile. “I want to take her away with me.”

“Away? Back into the mountains?” Li Si asked.

“Mm.”

“Yan Zi, it’s Lin Shun’s promotion ceremony today. All of this honor should have belonged to you but you’re still living in the darkness, living like a phantom. Though Li Si had tried to break Lu Yan and her up three years ago, An’an knew that Li Si was the only one on earth who treated Lu Yan as well as her. She respected Li Si too.

“Brother Li.”

Li Si looked at An’an, this girl’s eyes were still glassy. She and Lu Yan hadn’t changed at all.

Li Si nodded. “An’an, you have heard about Yan Zi’s plans. What are your plans? If you’re going to head back to the mountains soon, let me arrange for–”

Before he could even finish his words, An’an spoke up. “Brother Li, I’m not leaving.”

Li Si was stunned. “An’an, you…”

An’an smiled. “I’m not going to leave, and he’s not leaving either. All of this honor belongs to him and I’m going to take all of it back for him. I want him to stand under the limelight and receive everyone’s admiration. I want to see him soar in the sky, no one can ever break his wings, no one can ever… make him suffer in grievance.”
