Chapter 996: Bow

“Three.”

Someone had already shouted “Three”, but it seemed like someone was stuck in his throat and he could not speak further.

All the soldiers were not aiming their rifles at her now. They merely stuck their heads out and stared at An’an dazedly.

They seemed to see another shadow in this girl. This shadow was donned in black and he gradually disappeared in the darkness.

All the soldiers glanced at each other with eyes that were filled with unshed tears.

Chen Jin’s gaze was deep and he pursed his lips. “Young lady, please come with me,”

An’an arrived at the General’s office and breathed a sigh of relief. Actually she was fearful.

“General, greetings to you. My name is Gu An’an.” An’an introduced herself.

Chen Jin looked at An’an’s pretty eyes which exhibited unexpected courage and bravery. He smiled and pointed to the sofa. “An’an, please take a seat.”

“Thank you, General, but I will just stand here. I won’t beat around the bush. I hope that General can investigate the theft case that Lu Yan’s father was involved in twenty odd years ago. Although I don’t have any evidence to prove his innocence, I know that the record of this case has been removed. General, may I know what kind of people would be able to tamper with the record?” An’an asked.

Chen Jin glanced at the secretary and the secretary promptly answered, “Miss Gu, only the… General can have access to the record.”

An’an’s pristine eyes narrowed immediately and she looked at Chen Jin. That would mean to say that only Chen Jin could tamper with the record.

Lu Yan stood there without any expression on his face. His features were handsome but frosty as he glanced down at Qianqian. “Let go!”

Qianqian shook her head and clutched even more tightly to him.

She was kidnapped for four days. This Lin Shun was so useless and could not do anything to save her. It was Lu Yan who kicked open the door of the dilapidated warehouse and rescued her, thereby giving her a chance to survive.

She would not deceive herself. She loved Lu Yan.

He asked a nurse, “Where is she?”

“Sir, Miss An’an was already discharged two days ago.”

Lu Yan promptly knitted his brows. She had actually left the hospital without saying anything to him.

He promptly took out his cell phone from his pocket. There were neither messages nor calls. She had not attempted to contact him these two days.

This little rascal!

He dialed the familiar number.

Soon later, the call was picked up on the other line.

“Hello, Ah Yan.” An’an’s sweet voice came through the phone.

Lu Yan pursed his thin lips and asked in a low voice, “Where have you scampered to?”
