Chapter 1005: Missing Him

It was Lu Yan.

Lu Yan had come.

He wore a black v-neck sweater with military green pants and black army boots. He stood in the front, attracting everyone’s attention once he appeared.

Li Si followed behind Lu Yan, An Xi had also brought her son with her. The Blood Forces followed behind them.

An’an looked at them, her gaze landing on Lu Yan. She felt as though she hadn’t seen him a very long time, she missed him so much.

Li Si and the bunch started talking while Lu Yan sat on the couch inside. The room was dimly lit and no one could see the expression on his face. Taking out a cigarette from the pack, he lit it and began smoking.

“Wow, look at those soldiers, they’re really handsome.”

“That soldier sitting there smoking alone is so handsome, I’m almost going to faint.”

“Why do you even categorize him together with those young soldiers? He seems more like… an uncle.”

“Soldiers at that kind of age are really charming. Look at his thighs, those bulging muscles.”

A group of girls began discussing about them, almost drooling while they talked.

An’an’s gaze traveled all over Lu Yan. His legs were crossed while he smoked, those long, built legs had her smitten all over again. Traveling upwards, he had a belt around his trim waist and the v-neck design of his sweater had revealed his chest. His Adam’s apple bobbed sexily, his entire presence exuding an indescribable masculinity.

She didn’t know whether it was because she hadn’t seen him in a while, or because he had become more mature after his promotion. An’an felt that she could no longer look at him straight in the eye.

He had settled down well with his growing age, it made him appear even more wise and stern without having to do anything. He had this crushing aura to him.

An’an could sometimes feel her brother giving off that kind of aura too. Perhaps, it was the kind of aura that men in power would give off.

He had now become the General.

She would have to greet him properly the next time she saw him.

An’an lowered her eyes, biting down on her lower lip lightly. She felt some joy inside, but was at the same time, a little afraid.

She didn’t know how to get along with him in the future.

She was reminded of the scenes just one month ago. She would straddle his waist, pestering him for hugs. Scenes of him lifting her over his shoulders.

Those times were great.

But he had become even better than now, better than how he used to be. She loved both of them, be it the past him or him now.

She heard the girls talking again.

The girls bantered with each other.

An’an blushed hearing their conversation, she was reminded of the scenes of her being lovey-dovey with him.

Li Junxun was still beside her. An’an could only take a sip of milk to hide her blushing cheeks away from him.

She was pregnant and couldn’t drink alcohol so she ordered a cup of chilled milk. But the milk was too cold, she could only take small sips and let it turn warm in her mouth before swallowing it carefully.

“An’an, I can’t believe that Lu Yan has become the General. I’ve read all the articles about him. He’s the nation’s hero, a legend in the army. He’s a real man. No wonder you loved him so wholeheartedly before without caring about his future at all. I actually thought that Lu Yan was too gangsterish for you back then and wasn’t fit to have you.”

Li Junxun took a sip of the cocktail in his hand, reflecting over life. The moment he learned that Lu Yan was Blood Eagle, he was astonished.

But he learned to accept it eventually.

He used to feel indignant over losing to Lu Yan, but now, he had to concede defeat.

An’an smiled. She didn’t have many friends, Li Junxun was one out of the few. Her eyes crinkled into a smile as she said, “Senior, you’ll definitely meet a girl who’s better than me. I can only… love one person in my life.”

Disappointment flashed past Li Junxun’s eyes. She could only love one person in her life. He knew that An’an was the best girl in this world.

“An’an, why do I sense something off between you and Lu Yan. He hasn’t come over ever since he stepped into this bar.”

An’an’s lashes fluttered once she heard his words, but she continued smiling. “Although I don’t know what he’s doing now, I believe that he has his reasons for doing so.

He could see An’an and Li Junxun sitting together. An’an was smiling so brightly at Li Junxun. What were they even talking about?

He felt somewhat unhappy seeing her smile so brightly at another man.

Lu Yan reached into his pocket for his cell phone. He had gotten a new phone, replacing that old phone that didn’t even have enough RAM to install Wechat on it. It was the newest smartphone available in the market.

He clicked open Wechat.

He had sent a request to add her as a friend on Wechat, but she hadn’t accepted.

Biting on the cigarette, he sent another request again.

He had sent multiple requests already.

“Yan Zi, let’s have a drink together, stop using your phone,” Li Si said.

The Blood Forces all looked over, asking curiously, “General, when did you get a new phone?”

“General, what’s so precious in your phone? We’ve noticed you checking your phone every time you have some spare time.”

Li Si laughed. “Other Generals handle their important matters once they get promoted, your General here got a new phone the moment he got promoted. There must be some beautiful woman in his phone, making him so distracted over it.”

Lu Yan furrowed his brows while smoking. He looked over at the bar, seeing An’an lower her head while checking her phone. The next moment, a notification popped up on Lu Yan’s phone.

He tapped it open.

An’an had rejected his request to add her as a friend on Wechat.
