Chapter 1027: Shi’Shi, Are You Going to Forsake Me Again?

It was Fu Qinglun.

The warmth from his palm spread to her cold skin. Lin Shiyu lifted her eyes, the man was looking at her, his gaze soothing and full of confidence. He was passing her strength without making a sound.

Lin Shiyu could finally get herself back together.

Fu Qinglun bent over, lifting Little Lemon up. “Get the car ready, let’s head to the hospital immediately and let Sikong know about it.”

Little Lemon lay on the hospital bed, connected to an IV drip.

“Sikong, how’s Little Lemon? Has her condition worsened?” Lin Shiyu was incredibly tense as she asked Sikong.

Sikong nodded his head with a solemn expression on his face. “Little Lemon’s condition has worsened and I’ll need to begin V2 grade chemotherapy on her. This V2 chemotherapy is far more intense and it means she has to suffer more.”

V2 grade chemotherapy?

It would really hurt. Lin Shiyu’s hands were balled into two fists by her sides, digging her nails deep into her palm.

Little Lemon was really obedient, she hadn’t complained of any pain throughout the five months of chemotherapy. She had been strong and held in there so well.

It was because Little Lemon had been waiting for mommy to be pregnant with her little brother.

Fu Qinglun stretched his arm out, holding Lin Shiyu’s slim waist. “Sikong, how long is this V2 chemotherapy going to take?”

Sikong shook his head. “It really depends, but it usually takes around six months. Once the condition worsens and the V2 chemotherapy has no effect in controlling the condition, V3 chemotherapy is used. Once V3 is required, you would have to prepare yourself mentally. It will be the worst case scenario.”

Six months.

Even if they did manage to conceive a child, they would still have to wait for around four months before a tissue sample could be taken from the fetus to do the chorionic villus sampling.

That meant they were running out of time.

Lin Shiyu’s lashes fluttered. She no longer had any time left.

“Ah Sen, it’s been quite some time and you don’t have any news at all. Little Lemon really can’t wait, you have to think of other ways.”

Lin Shiyu smirked, the only other way was to get Fu Qinglun to have a child with another woman.

Little Lemon woke up the next morning. Sikong came around to check on her after she had woken up, bringing with him a thick needle.

Lin Shiyu stood outside the ward, looking in from the tiny window outside. Sikong injected her with the syringe.

When the needle went in her arm, tears trickled down Little Lemon’s cheeks in an instant. Any child would cry, no matter how strong they were. “Mommy, Mommy, cries…”

Little Lemon was crying inside, calling for her while crying. Lin Shiyu felt as though someone had stabbed her heart, twisting the knife around till it was all bloody.

Huge drops of tears streamed down her face, she sobbed silently. She had never felt this helpless in her life before.

After Sikong left the ward, Lin Shiyu stepped inside. Little Lemon had already wiped her tears dry, but her eyes were still red and swollen. The V2 chemotherapy made her entire person soulless.

The adorable Little Lemon had disappeared, her countenance sullen and downhearted.

“Little Lemon, did the injection hurt? Let mommy take a look at your arm.” Little Lemon wanted to check Little Lemon’s arm.

“Mommy, I’m fine. It really doesn’t hurt at all.” Little Lemon pulled her sleeves down, not letting Lin Shiyu see anything.

“Mommy, I want a hug.”

Little Lemon wanted a hug.

Lin Shiyu quickly went onto the bed, letting Little Lemon lie on her stomach. She ruffled Little Lemon’s hair. “Little Lemon, are you afraid?”

In response, Little Lemon closed her eyes feebly, it was hard for her to even keep her eyes open now. “I’m not afraid at all. Daddy and Mommy are going to have my little brother soon. When my little brother comes, I’ll be saved. I’ll make sure to love my little brother when he comes, giving him all the good food and fun toys I have.”

Hearing Little Lemon’s words, Lin Shiyu’s eyes reddened. Little Lemon was really obedient and sensible, her heart really ached seeing Little Lemon suffer like this. It was so painful.

“Mommy, I’m really sleepy. I want to take a nap.”

“Go to sleep, Baby. Mommy will sing you a lullaby.”

The originally silent hospital ward was filled with sounds of her singing. For the past three years, Lin Shiyu had given up on her musical career to take care of Little Lemon. However, her angelic voice hadn’t disappeared, she still sounded ethereal and amazing.

In no time at all, Little Lemon had fallen asleep. Lin Shiyu stopped singing, reaching her hand over to pull Little Lemon’s sleeve up.

Little Lemon had two needle marks on her arm. In a few days time, her arm was going to be filled with needle marks all over.

Lin Shiyu hugged Little Lemon tightly, biting down on her lower lip till it bled. Fine, she was going to surrender. She wasn’t going to be stubborn about it anymore. She didn’t want anything else, other than a healthy daughter.

There wasn’t going to be a little brother coming anymore.

She wasn’t able to get pregnant, and even if she did, the walls of her womb was too thin, she would easily miscarry the baby. Little Lemon couldn’t afford the risk, she could never gamble if it had to do with Little Lemon.

She wasn’t a selfish mother.

She didn’t want to be a selfish mother.

She could let everything go for Little Lemon’s to be healthy again.

It wouldn’t hurt that much, right?

Lin Shiyu stepped out of the hospital lobby and stood along the streets outside. The road lamps outside shone on her, elongating her shadow, making her appear so lonely.

She heard a deep, charismatic voice behind her. “Shi’shi.”

It was Fu Qinglun.

He stretched out his hand, holding her cold hand. “Didn’t I ask you wait for me? Why did you come out alone?”

Lin Shiyu lifted her eyes, looking at Fu Qinglun’s handsome face and she smiled. “Fu Qinglun, go and have a child with another woman. Please, please save my Little Lemon.”

Fu Qinglun was stupefied by her words, his expression changed. He did think of having a child with another woman to save Little Lemon’s life last time, but she hadn’t known about it at that time.

But now she knew about it and she even initiated it.

He knew her well, she was decisive. Once she put her heart to it, she wouldn’t compromise.

Fu Qinglun looked in her eyes. “Save Little Lemon? What about… us?”
