Chapter 1028: She Ran over to Him

She didn’t want anything else, all she wanted was for Little Lemon to live on well.

Fu Qinglun moved his lips, his voice husky. “You’re going to forsake me just for Little Lemon?”

Lin Shiyu moved backwards slowly. “Every single time I see Little Lemon suffering, I question my decision to give birth to her three years ago. The doctor had advised me to abort her, but I decided to be selfish. My mom had left, leaving my behind all alone. I felt really lonely, so I decided to give birth to her so that she could accompany me.

“However, Little Lemon has been suffering her entire life. She was constantly sick and all because of this sickness, she couldn’t have fun outside like other kids. She couldn’t run around and enjoy the sun outside. She had matured so quickly, becoming so sensible at such a young age. Look how she has become now.

“I want to save her, I really want to save her so badly. It really hurts here, I can’t even breathe properly because it hurts so much…”

Her lashes fluttered and Lin Shiyu clutched at her chest, wanting to dig her heart out. That way, she wouldn’t feel pain anymore.

Fu Qinglun’s heart wrenched in pain, it hurt to even breathe. They had known each other for so many years, but it was his first time seeing the strong, staid Shi’shi reveal such a weak side of herself.

With every step that he took, he was forcing her.

He knew that she loved him.

She had said it once, she would never let him have a child with another woman, over her dead body. But now, it wasn’t about her, but rather, Little Lemon’s life was at stake.

One one hand was him and the other was Little Lemon. She was sandwiched between the two till she could no longer breathe.

Her blood would bleed if she had to give him up.

No one was in more agony than her right now.

His love had become the greatest pain for her.

Fu Qinglun slowly retracted his arms. His eyes reddened and he smiled, knowing that he shouldn’t behave like this.

He should do something else to lessen the pain for her. His woman and his daughter, he would protect them both.

“Fine, Shi’shi. I’ll phone Sikong right away and get him to find a surrogate. I’ll have a child with another woman, I’ll make sure to save Little Lemon’s life,” Fu Qinglun said with a gentle voice.

Hearing his promise, Lin Shiyu could hear her heart breaking into a million shards. He had promised her.

Fu Qinglun lifted his eyes to look at the neon lights on the opposite side of the street. The corners of his lips raised into a self-deprecating smile. These past five months of their marriage was just like a beautiful dream, but now, he had to wake up.

After getting in the Maybach, he started the engine and the car sped away. In the car, he put on the bluetooth headset and dialed Sikong’s number.

Sikong picked up the call almost immediately. “Hello, Ah Sen.”

Fu Qinglun held the steering wheel with both hands, the neon lights shining through the windows and landed on his handsome face. He had a poker face on while he said, “I’ll leave you to handle the surrogacy matters. Find me a high quality ovary and a decent surrogate. I don’t wish to have any extra trouble coming from them.”

Sikong went silent for a few seconds. “Ah Sen, have you two made up your mind?”

“Okay, leave it to me.” Sikong hung up the phone call.

Fu Qinglun took his bluetooth earpiece down, throwing it on the passenger’s seat. The car was silent to the point where it was weirdly stifling.

Feeling as though his heart had been emptied out a little, the feeling continued growing. It felt so unbearable.

A loud screech resulting from the brakes being applied, the Maybach stopped along the street.

Fu Qinglun turned the steering wheel, making a U-turn and the Maybach sped away.

He wanted to go look for her.

He was going to look for her.

He was afraid that once he let go this time, she would really leave.

Call him selfish, greedy, whatever. He wanted Little Lemon to recover and become healthy, but he also missed the love she had given him, he wanted to spend more lovely times with her.

After making the U-turn, Fu Qinglun looked through the glistening window, searching for that lithe figure along the streets.

Fu Qinglun’s heart palpitated, he lifted his eyes and looked in the rearview mirror. Along the street behind him, that familiar lithe figure was there. Lin Shiyu stood along the street, holding her phone while coming up on her tiptoes, looking around at her surroundings.

Fu Qinglun quickly stopped the car, opening the car door as he called out, “Shi’shi.”
