Mr Wang looked behind Butler Ye, his gaze landing on the luxury limousine parked opposite.

The car window wound down, revealing Lu Jinwen’s chiseled face. Lu Jinwen wore a white shirt and a tie around his neck. Adding on his custom-made suit and a white handkerchief in his pocket, his entire look was immaculate. He exuded a strong, dignified aura.

Mr Wang clenched his fists angrily. “My wife has stage four breast cancer, but she’s not dead yet. How dare you even try to take her heart away before she has even passed away! I’m sorry to tell you this, but even if she does pass away, I don’t want her body to be incomplete. We will never sign this heart transplant agreement, so don’t even think about it.”

Mr Wang rejected the offer very decisively.

“Daddy, what are you doing here?” A lissom figure appeared by the door.

It was the Wang family’s only daughter, Wang Yanran. She had just come back after completing her overseas studies.

Wang Yanran stood by the door, looking in the same direction as her father. She had also seen Lu Jinwen, who was in the limousine.

The luxury limousine lurched forward, speeding away. Butler Ye looked in the rearview mirror, noticing that Wang Yanran was still standing outside, seeming to be in a daze.

“Sir, this Miss Wang seems to be attracted.”

Lu Jinwen didn’t turn back to look, his face emotionless.

A melodious ringtone sounded. Butler Ye had an incoming call.

“Hello, may I know who this is?” Butler Ye answered the call.

A sweet voice was on the other end of the call. “Hello, Butler Ye. I’m Wang Yanran. I’m calling regarding my mom’s heart transplant. We actually still have some space for negotiations. I wonder if Mr Lu has the time to meet up for a discussion?”

Butler Ye glanced at Lu Jinwen.

His lips were raised into a wry smile and he nodded.

“Okay, Miss Wang. Where do you want to meet?”

Lin Shiyu stepped inside and Tang Mo’er immediately appeared at the next moment, clasping her arm. “Shiyu, you’re finally here. I’ve been waiting for you for ages.”

“Mo’er, why did you even ask to meet in a bar?”

“We can relax here, Mr Gu has a meeting with his friends here too.”

“Mm.”

“Shiyi, Mr Gu and his friends are in this room. Let’s go in and exchange greetings.” Tang Mo’er pulled Lin Shiyu into one of the rooms.

Lin Shiyu first noticed Gu Mohan and her gaze riveted on that figure seated beside Gu Mohan.
