Her apartment door had been opened by someone else!

Why were all these creepy things happening to her today? The elevator just went down without her activating any sort of button and now someone was opening her door. But Yanmei claimed that this apartment was one of the best in the Capital and the security was also great too. It seemed like it wasn’t deserving of such a good reputation at all!

Lin Xuanji quickly took out her phone, calling the property manager.

Dudu, the call was picked up. The property manager’s voice was heard on the other end. “Hello.”

“Hello, this is the occupant of apartment 1602 on the 16th floor. Please have someone come over to provide assistance, someone is breaking into my apartment.”

“Alright, Miss. We’ll come over right away!”

Lin Xuanji only relaxed a bit when she heard that someone was coming to help. She got up, holding a wooden pole in her hand, stepping out of her room.

There were some sounds in the living room. Lin Xuanji moved furtively and she waved the wooden pole onto the intruder’s head.

Lu Jinwen waved the keys in his hand around. “I unlocked the door.”

How did he even get the keys to her apartment?

Knock knock. The property manager had come.

Lin Xuanji looked at Lu Jinwen. “Leave now, I’ve called the property manager over. This is considered an act of trespassing, they’ll send you to the police station once they catch you red-handed.”

Hearing her words, Lu Jinwen only raised his brows. He didn’t move, not saying a word either.

This man was too brazen.

“Mr Lu, I’ll open the door then. You have to pay the consequences of your own actions.”

Lin Xuanji walked over to open the door.

The property manager rushed inside the apartment, bringing with him a director of the management.

“This person barged into my house, please invite him out now.”

Lin Xuanji used the word ‘invite’ since she didn’t wish for him to be arrested and sent to the police station.

She turned back to look, Lu Jinwen had already taken a seat on the couch in the living room. His long legs were crossed and he took out a cigarette, holding it between his fingers.

The director quickly took out his lighter, bending over to light Lu Jinwen’s cigarette fervently. Just like a king, he leaned back against the couch and puffed on the cigarette, before letting out a puff of smoke again.

Lin Xuanji quickly got a grip over herself, pouting her lips, she had finally figured everything out. “Were you… behind the elevator just going down for no reason earlier on?”

The director laughed. “Miss, not just this district, but along this entire street, all of the commercial buildings belong to Mr Lu. Mr Lu is the… big boss here. It’s his territory, he calls the shots here.”

The director then gave a thumbs up.

Lin Xuanji hadn’t known about it at all. In just a span of two months, he had acquired so many properties in the Capital, it all belonged to him.

He was teasing her just now.

Lu Jinwen continued smoking, giving the director a glance. “I just had a little tiff with my girlfriend. You may leave now.”

The director’s eyes lit up. “Miss, so it turns out you’re Mr Lu’s girlfriend. Many women are all coveting Mr Lu in the Capital now, I’d advise you to not continue having an argument with Mr Lu. You must keep Mr Lu, don’t ever lose him.”

Lin Xuanji couldn’t even say a word after being so annoyed.

What was the big deal? This man was just a footman at her house just two months ago, why did the director make it sound like she was throwing herself at Lu Jinwen?

The director quickly brought his men with him and the door was shut with a click.

Lin Xuanji’s gaze was on the man’s face. He sat on the couch in her living room, smoking a cigarette. It appeared more like he was her boss and she was the servant instead.

She couldn’t chase him out of her apartment.

Who would even dare to chase this divine being out?

Lin Xuanji turned around to return to her room.

Lu Jinwen got up, following behind her. He stretched his arm out to hold her hand, with a devil-may-care charm as he said, “I’m not going back tonight… I’m staying here for the night.”

Lin Xuanji flung his hand away. “Despicable!”

“You’re going to sleep on the bed while I take the couch. How am I even despicable?”

Lin Xuanji could tell that he was teasing her. This man was so bad! Flinging his hand away, she only found that he came back, holding her hand again.

He didn’t hold her hand properly, just using his fingers to pinch her hand, as though he was playing with a toy.

He stood behind her, no matter how she slung him away, he still followed her. He was behaving like a thug despite being so decent, his mature man’s charms made even more obvious.

Arriving in front of the room door, Lin Xuanji pushed it open and stepped inside. She tried to close the door behind her.

She wanted to keep him outside.

But a glistening leather shoe slipped into the gap, the man had one hand in his pocket and the other was still holding onto a cigarette. He continued smoking, surrounded by the fogginess of the smoke. He raised his lips, pinning her beautiful face with his gaze. “It hurts, Baby. You’ve hurt me, quick let go.”

She couldn’t understand those suggestive words he just said, but she blushed. Where did it hurt?

She suddenly heard some sounds behind her, it was the sounds of watery kisses.
