He waited and waited, but Tang Mo’er never came.

It was only then that he realized that she was really not coming.

She had come.

She came to the side of his bed and took off her slippers, before sitting down on the bed beside him. She was wearing a nightdress, and she reached out to undo his pants.

His mouth was very dry and his heart called out to her. He reached out his arms to hug her.

But he failed to touch her. She suddenly had some red silk sashes in her hands and she used them to tie up his hands.

Gu Mohan’s eyes quivered and his throat felt like it was on fire. He felt like his entire body was about to explode.

This dream… why did it feel so… real?

It felt like it was happening in real life.

Gu Mohan slowly opened his eyes. His pupils instantly narrowed.

It wasn’t a dream.

It was real.

Tang Mo’er was sitting on top of him…

Only she wasn’t wearing a nightdress, but a white gown. Her jet-black hair flowed freely down, mixing with her fragrant sweat across her delicate pink face and tender neck.

Her eyes were half-closed, while her brows and lips were full of radiant vitality.

Noticing that he was awake, she bit her lower lip with her pearl-white teeth and gazed at him alluringly. “Oh? Are you awake now?”

“Mo’er…”

He realized just how parched his throat was the moment he spoke. It felt very rough. He wanted to reach out and hug her, kiss her and press down on her body. But he couldn’t move as his hands were tied to the head of the bed.

It really wasn’t a dream!

She had used red silk sashes to tie him up!

“Mo’er, untie me!” He demanded hoarsely.

Tang Mo’er bent over. She held his neck and kissed his handsome face. “No way.”

Gu Mohan arched upward and locked his lips viciously with hers. In response, Tang Mo’er reached out with her petite hands and gave his robust chest a vigorous push. His strong body immediately fell back.

Slamming his eyes shut in barely concealed frustration, Gu Mohan cursed in a low voice. “Tang Mo’er, damn it. I will kill you!”

“Then Mr Gu, let us see which of us will kill the other first!”

By the time Gu Mohan opened his eyes again, it was already 8am in the morning. He had overslept and the crisp clear morning sun was already shining upon his bed.

Turning around, he reached out to hug that soft, fragrant body. He moved gently as he wished to hold her for a while as they slept.

A golden hairpin adorned her jet black hair and the spring breeze gently made the bedroom curtains dance in its midst.

The nights are too short as the sun rises high.

The gentleman will never again rise early.

This poem perfectly described his current state of mind.

Her sudden appearance at the brink of dawn had him completely flustered. Now the memory of what happened remained like a dream.

A pleasant and carefree dream. They had spared no effort with each other.

It was like they had returned to the time when they were still immersed in the passions of their new romance. She was desperate to squeeze him dry while he was willing to give all of himself to her.

He wished to hug her.

But there was no one beside him.

It was just empty space.

Tang Mo’er was not there.

Gu Mohan slowly opened his bleary eyes, all notions of sleep dispelled in an instant. He sat up and looked around. She was not there. She must have gone to accompany Sisi.

Now, she could only spare a bit of time to come to his room. She still could not sleep with him.

His earlier idea of “sleep” encompassed everything that a man and a woman could do when they slept together.

Gu Mohan got off the bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

He changed into a pale green shirt and looked at his reflection in the mirror. All he could see was a tall and strapping man, handsome and regal. There were no signs of old age at all.

All his self-doubts last night were completely vanquished. He was now full of confidence in himself once again.

He had all sorts of ways to make Mo’er fall in love with him again. To make her totally infatuated with him.

Gu Mohan turned and walked out of the bedroom door.

Gu Mohan thought that he would be able to hear the laughter and chatter of that mother-daughter duo the moment he stepped out. He thought he would see her delicate figure standing in the kitchen and making breakfast for everyone. He thought he would be able to see Sisi happily tagging along behind Mommy. He thought everything would be like yesterday.

However, he was wrong.

It was all quiet outside. There was no sound at all.

Mo’er was not there.

Sisi was also not there.

Gu Mohan’s heart sank all the way down to the bottom of his feet. He looked in the kitchen, he looked in the east wing of the house, he looked in the fruit garden behind. But he could not find a single trace of the mother-daughter duo.

They had disappeared.

It was the same as three years ago.

When she disappeared without a trace from his life.

Gu Mohan felt like he had been pushed into a deep abyss. He sprinted forward. “Mo’er? Tang Mo’er! Sisi!”

He ran out of the door.

At this moment, Yan Dong appeared. “President, are you looking for Madam and Young Mistress? They are already on a plane flying back to the Capital.”

Yan Dong looked somewhat dubious. “Madam and Young Mistress left very early this morning. I found it strange why she didn’t wait for President so you could all leave together. When I asked, Madam only smiled and said you were still sleeping and she wanted you to have a longer rest. So she left first with Young Mistress.”

Gu Mohan’s breathing finally calmed down after hearing Yan Dong’s words. So she hadn’t disappeared but had returned to the Capital.

But why didn’t she tell him?

Why didn’t she return with him?

What did she mean by doing this?

Didn’t she know that his greatest fear was that she would disappear again?

The gentle breeze blew by and Gu Mohan realized he was drenched in a cold sweat. His pale green shirt was already soaked through and through. He shut his eyes against the sun and took deep breaths, but his heart remained contorted in anxiety. She was truly too willful. She had just given him the night of his life, and then just disappeared without a trace.

Gu Mohan immediately flew back to the Capital. He was standing at the floor-to-ceiling windows in the C.T Corporation President’s office suite.

It had already been half a month since his return to the Capital. Upon his return, he realized she didn’t bring Sisi back to the Gu Residence and he was so furious that he didn’t contact her over the past two weeks. She also didn’t reach out to him at all.

Her actions made him suspect that she was just playing with him when she gave him that passionate night.

Was she?

Knock knock.

Yan Dong entered and reported in a low voice, “President, according to the investigation, Madam did not return to the entertainment industry since coming back to the Capital. Instead, she has launched King-back’s latest jewelry collection.”
