Jun Xiqing could only borrow a pen from Lu Yeming.

Lu Yeming sat there, with his long legs crossed. He was the renowned West Duke, he didn’t have to do anything to exude a powerful aura. He held a fountain pen with his beautiful fingers as he sat there quietly.

Once he heard her voice, Lu Yeming looked over.

His deep-set eyes landed on her ravishing face, but he didn’t reply.

Jun Xiqing was confused. What? Did he not hear her?

“President Lu, I forgot to bring a pen.” Someone else was presenting and Jun Xiqing could only lower her volume, making gestures with her fingers. “Can you… lend me a pen?”

Lu Yeming looked at her, he seemed to not have understood her.

“…”

Jun Xiqing’s face flushed red, she had no other way out but to lean towards him.

Lu Yeming lowered his head cooperatively.

Not wanting to disturb the conference, Jun Xiqing brought her lips to his ear. “President Lu, lend me a pen.”

If someone were to witness the scene, they would assume that Lu Yeming and Jun Xiqing were a young couple biting each other’s ears.

Lu Yeming could smell the sweet fragrance she emanated now that she leaned so close to him, talking softly in his ear.

Her breath was warm, inviting.

He furrowed his brows, glancing down at his pocket.

Eh? What did that mean? Did he have a pen in his trouser pocket?

But that was a rather sensitive place, for a woman to put her hand into a man’s pocket…

It was definitely suggestive.

Jun Xiqing looked at him. “Can you take it out for me?”

Lu Yeming returned to his original position, not bothering to respond as he continued writing on his notebook with his fountain pen.

He meant—-Whatever.

Ugh, he was really… arrogant.

Hesitating for a while, Jun Xiqing finally decided to stretch her hand out, putting it inside his pocket.

Lu Yeming stopped writing, almost dropping his pen. He could clearly feel her hand rummaging around in his pocket. Her fingers climbed around his muscular thigh through the thin material of his trousers.

Jun Xiqing stopped moving her hands, she had dug deep into his pocket but there wasn’t anything inside at all.

She looked at the man beside her.

Lu Yeming reciprocated, looking at her too and their faces were close together. He could see her perfect skin and those plump lips.

Raising his brows, he replied finally, “If I lend you a pen, my wife will be jealous.”

“…”

He had fooled her!

Finally realizing it, Jun Xiqing instantly retracted her hand.

This jerk!

He had nothing in his pocket, he just wanted to trick her to put her hand inside. Her hand was burning hot, even though she had tried her best not to, but she still touched his muscular thigh.

She had touched something that she shouldn’t have and she wanted to immediately wash her hands. With her face flaming red, Jun Xiqing took deep breaths to keep herself calm and not get angry.

Don’t get angry, I’m the most elegant woman.

Don’t get angry, calm down.

But she was still fuming with rage inside.

She had become a more mature person after three years, but somehow when she was with this man, she would always be at a disadvantage.

He had his ways of fooling her.

Damn it.

“Ha.”

A rough chuckle burst out of his lips.

Jun Xiqing instantly turned her head, noticing that Lu Yeming was laughing. He seemed to be in a good mood.

“…”

What the heck was he laughing at? Furious, Jun Xiqing stretched her arm out, snatching the fountain pen in his hand over.

Then she started taking notes with it.

Lu Yeming, who had no pen, “…”

The emcee looked over. “President Lu, were you in a hurry and even forgot to bring a pen?”

Lu Yeming raised his brows, replying with a magnetic voice, “A little cat took my pen away.”

The little cat Jun Xiqing, “…”

The conference ended and Jun Xiqing got up from the seat, leaving the fountain pen behind. She didn’t want to spend even an extra minute with Lu Yeming.

Taking off her blazer, she handed it to an assistant and she looked around. “Where’s Ping Ping?”

Court Lady Ping Ping was Jun Xiqing’s personal assistant, she wouldn’t be too far away from her for no reason. However, she hadn’t spotted Ping Ping ever since she came out of the venue.

“Your Highness, I don’t know where Court Lady has gone. I did notice that Country C’s General Yue has been looking at Court Lady Ping Ping, not taking his eyes off of her for a long time,” the assistant reported dutifully.

Country C’s General Yue?

Jun Xiqing tried to recall his information. Out of the many commanders, Country A’s Xuan Ying would definitely claim the top spot.

Three years ago, Xuan Ying led the forces and crushed Shi Shi’s rebellion. After that, he continued guarding the borders for years. He had won multiple battles and made his name known to all in the nation. He was regarded highly by the people of Country A and his enemies would shiver in fear when they heard his name. He was the most renowned commander in the world.

Though Xuan Ying claimed the top spot, he was followed by General Yue of Country C.

General Yue was favored by Country C’s ruler since he was gung-ho and good in warfare. But he had one downside, and that was his lecherous nature. He would force himself on any woman he had his eyes on.

And now General Yue had his eyes on Ping Ping?

Where was she? Jun Xiqing circled the venue in her high heels, finally spotting Ping Ping in a corner of the corridor.

Ping Ping was pressed against the wall by General Yue, struggling to get away from him. “General Yue, please don’t go overboard. I’m President Jun’s court lady, do you really want to cause a war between our countries by doing this?”

The man known as General Yue was bent on having Ping Ping. He was egotistic and sounded every part the sleaze he was infamous for as he said, “Ping Ping, I can tell that President Jun is a smart person. Why would she even declare war just for you? You should just obey me, I’ll ask President Jun for your hand and you shall be my concubine.”

General Yue couldn’t wait, he started taking his pants off.

But he suddenly heard a voice. “General Yue, what do you think you are doing?”

General Yue stopped moving, lifting his head to see and he noticed Jun Xiqing standing in front. Her lustrous eyes were on his face and though she had a smile on her face, it spelled danger.

“Your Highness!”

Ping Ping took the chance to get away from him, tidying up her appearance before she ran over to Jun Xiqing, her face drained of all color.

“Haha, turns out it is President Jun. I’m interested in your court lady and was just trying to get to know her a little better. President Jun, I’m sure you wouldn’t make a huge fuss out of it, right?” He clearly wasn’t worried at all as he stood up straight, exerting his presence.

Jun Xiqing still had a smile on her face and she wanted to walk over to him.

“Your Highness!” Ping Ping tugged on Jun Xiqing’s sleeve, shaking her head.

Jun Xiqing smiled at Ping Ping, patting her cold hand as she reassured her. “Don’t worry, it’s fine.”

Jun Xiqing walked in front.

All the leaders walked over, with Lu Yeming leading in the front.

Lu Yeming stopped walking, standing along the corridor as he watched Jun Xiqing. She wasn’t wearing her blazer and was more feminine when compared to earlier on.
