Chapter 1394: Playing Games With Me?

While she was in her room, Jun Xiqing had heard a voice calling her in her mind: Come out, come out now!

As if under a spell, she left her room and boarded a luxury car. It was only when the car started to move that she snapped out of her trance.

Now she was sitting on the passenger side. Turning her head, she saw Yuan Ming driving the car.

“Ms, Jun, we meet again.” Yuan Ming smiled.

Frosty eyes looked back at him as Jun Xiqing reached out to open the car door.

But the door was locked and would not budge.

Raising her brows, Jun Xiqing schooled her expression into one of calmness. Well, she needed to speak to Yuan Ming anyway. There were some things which she didn’t understand.

Quickly taking out pen and paper, she wrote: 26 years ago, it was you who plotted to carry Crown Prince Lu Yeming away from the palace, right?

Yuan Ming glanced at her message but remained silent.

Jun Xiqing wrote again: Is Dongfang Wanqing your spy?

Yuan Ming’s gaze landed on Jun Xiqing’s porcelain face. What a frank and straightforward girl.

‘You and Dongfang Wanqing both harbored a love which morphed into hate. Both of you failed to attain the ones you loved, and so you turned to revenge. The two of you are planning to overturn the Murong family and claim the throne!’

What else could Yuan Ming say? So he didn’t say anything.

The silence was affirmation.

Jun Xiqing bit her lower lip. Her eyes glittered as she wrote down her final words: 26 years ago, Lu Yeming was the Crown Prince of Country Z, and so you kidnapped him. What about me? What value am I to you that you have to take me away now? Is there some dark and secret link between me and Lu Yeming?

Those words made Yuan Ming’s expression undergo a drastic change. Previously at the Holy Lady Clan, he had already experienced this young lady’s high intelligence and pureness of heart.

Once again, she had somehow surpassed his expectations of her.

What an impressive goddess. She was truly the chosen one in the legends. She was already suspecting her identity.

Yuan Ming looked up at the rearview mirror to see a black sports car catching up from behind.

“Lu Yeming?” Yuan Ming finally voiced out loud.

Jun Xiqing immediately turned to look. A sports car was rapidly catching up to them.

She saw the man sitting inside the sports car. It was Lu Yeming clad entirely in black, his large palms pressed firmly upon the steering wheel. The night lights shone through the car window onto his handsome face. It was a mesmerizing sight.

Looking at the luxury car in front, a dark iciness descended over Lu Yeming’s profound eyes. Other than that, he remained expressionless. He suddenly stepped down on the accelerator and the sports car suddenly bumped into them.

Bam! On impact, Yuan Ming inevitably loosened his grip on the steering wheel and broke out in cold sweat. He couldn’t resist cursing in a low voice.

That brat, Lu Yeming. His refined features were full of disdain and intent. Yuan Ming did not doubt that if Jun Xiqing wasn’t on board, he would have rammed straight into him in a fatal crash.

The nearby pedestrians all looked over. Everyone gasped as they saw a black sports car bumping a luxury car from behind.

That black sports car was really… arrogant!

In an attempt to evade Lu Yeming, Yuan Ming quickly switched on the car’s indicator and steered into another lane.

As they were going too fast, Jun Xiqing had no choice but to grip the handle tightly. She had never been in such a fast-moving car before and felt like she was going to fly out anytime.

If she still had her voice, she would definitely have screamed!

Within seconds, the black sports car had caught up and steered right beside them. The window on the passenger side of the sports car was slowly wound down, revealing a flawlessly handsome face.

Yuan Ming turned to look at Lu Yeming.

At the same time, Lu Yeming also turned his deep, almond-shaped eyes toward Yuan Ming. Lu Yeming shrugged before smirking. “Playing games with me? Are you sure you can afford to?”

Jun Xiqing could not hear him clearly at all. She had never seen him in a car race before and had no idea he was so good.

At this moment, he was like a magnificent dark knight: wild with charisma and ridiculously attractive. Every woman in the world would be shrieking his name.

Jun Xiqing finally realized why so many women were besotted by him. The entire night was a compliment to his being.

With a swift turn of the steering wheel, the black sports car suddenly crashed into them from the side.

Boom!

Jun Xiqing opened her mouth in a soundless scream.

They had already driven past the main street and entered a dark field. Lu Yeming held onto the steering wheel firmly, forcing Yuan Ming’s luxury car to come to a complete stop.

By now, smoke was coming out of the front part of the luxury car. It was no longer able to move.

The exciting car race had come to an irrefutable conclusion. Lu Yeming had won without a doubt.

Who else did Yuan Ming have to blame? Lu Yeming’s sports car was a limited edition, and his driving skills were far better. Not only that. Lu Yeming was rich, young and daring, as well as arrogant and willful. Yuan Ming truly could not afford to play against him.

After that crash, Yuan Ming could feel the sickly sweet taste of blood in his throat.

Click. Lu Yeming opened the car door and emerged.

He was holding a gun, one of the latest models. Lu Yeming aimed the nozzle right at Yuan Ming. “Get out.”

Two simple words, spoken in one smooth breath.

Yuan Ming got out of the car. “President Lu, I never expected you to come so quickly. But do you really think you’ve won?”

At this moment, four to five men in black emerged from the darkness. They were all holding sniper rifles aiming straight at Lu Yeming’s heart.

Those men in black were retired special forces soldiers and their faces bore many scars. Anyone could tell with just one glance that they were the violent and dangerous type.

As she watched the scene unfold, Jun Xiqing’s heart constricted and she couldn’t stop her legs which had started to run over to Lu Yeming.

But Yuan Ming grabbed her and held her hostage. “Ms. Jun, you are luckier than me. How about we do this then? I will help you test just how much President Lu loves you.”

What was he planning to do?

Jun Xiqing stared at Yuan Ming guardedly.

Yuan Ming looked at Lu Yeming with a smile. “President Lu, Ms. Jun is now in my hands. Fire your gun at your right arm. I want you to disable your right arm.”

Jun Xiqing’s eyes dilated in shock and she shook her head vigorously: No!

Lu Yeming was surrounded but his handsome face remained expressionless. He looked at Jun Xiqing’s little face with his deep, almond-shaped eyes, before turning toward Yuan Ming. He smirked. “Are you expecting me to be as stupid as you? If I disable my right arm, both she and I will die here.”

Yuan Ming pushed Jun Xiqing into the arms of a scarred man. “This is President Lu’s woman, the youngest daughter of the Jun Family. It’s your lucky day today, guys. Enjoy yourselves with her, right in front of President Lu.”

The moment they saw Jun Xiqing’s slender, fragrant body and soft, tender flesh, those retired special forces soldiers were already salivating with lust.
