Lady Boss, Please Spoil Your Husband! Chapter 51

Breakfast was pretty awkward, for Lillie at least, but for Ethan, it was the best. Though, he could not even eat properly because of the glee he's feeling. Nonetheless, watching his beloved wife eating, he felt full. Plus, the 'treat' last night was already suffice to fill him up.
If Lillie ever read his mind, she would want to beat his pretty face into a pulp!
As for Storm, he wanted to shred this human with his claws. His body was tense and the glare he send towards Ethan was deadly as he stood beside his Mistress' seat. If looks could kill, Ethan would be six feet underground.
Lillie cleared her throat as she tried to bottle up the strange emotions. Regardless, the pink dust on her cheeks stubbornly cleaved. "How are the things back at Hong Long?" She questioned.
"Nothing much. Just signing and reading papers here and there, receiving calls every minute, and the usual boring meetings." He honestly replied. "Why?" He added.
"Nothing..." She muttered, sipping her tea.
Ethan didn't asked any further and just let it be. But he'll be lying if he said he wasn't bemused about her sudden question.
Was there something she knows that he's not aware of?
How odd, he suddenly remembered that Yu Ming Lian send him an email yesterday. Reporting about the sudden change of three of the company's shareholders. It was because of Lillie that he completely forgot about it.
But, it was also her who reminded him about such predicament. He wouldn't want to inform her about this not because it's confidential but, he wouldn't want her to be concerned about his problem.
Ethan had known enough about Lillie's personality. If she asked these kinds of things, there is something behind it.

Lillie and Ethan both left the villa with their own car and go into different directions. Upon entering his office, Ethan saw his secretary, Yu Ming Lian, typing something frantically on her keyboard. Because she was so engrossed with it, she failed to notice that her Boss already arrived.

Ethan frowned, no matter how busy Yu Ming Liang is, she'll never be inattentive to her surroundings, especially since the elevator's bell rang when it stopped at his office's floor, indicating his arrival.
He noticed that she was pretty pale, bullet-like sweat was evident on her face and her usual clean bun hair was slightly haggard.
"Is there a problem?" Yu Ming Lian jumped from her seat with a scream. Her eyes went wide and quickly stood up and bowed to him.
"M-Mr Li! I'm terribly sorry for my poor manners!"
Ethan waved his hand, signaling that she's excused. "It's fine. What is it you're doing that caused you to be so flustered?"
"About that...It's connected to the report I sent you yesterday." Her brows were furrowed with the thought of today's report.
"The shareholder? Who was it that managed to get those three shares?" He asked. Yu Ming Lian led him towards her PC and showed him today's report.
"We don't know who it was yet, but look. He manage to get another one, which made this person the second to have the most shares." She anxiously informed, her fingers trailing the important words on the monitor.
This...this is pretty serious. Ethan eyes narrowed and his face darkens. "Will that person be in the meeting?"
"I-I'm afraid not, sir." Yu Ming Lian tried not to tremble because of the frighteningly cold aura her boss emits.
"Find a way to make him join us today. If we need to use force, then so be it." He emphasized every word darkly. His hands were clenched until they turned white.
"Y-yes, sir." Yu Ming Lian squeaked like a little mouse being chased by a vengeful lion. When she faced Ethan a while ago, he seemed to be in a pretty good mood. Unfortunately, it was all wiped clean because of this sh*t.
She could only try to comfort herself and try to endure this hellish work with the Devil.
