Chapter 888 - Diamond Scales

I landed at the edge of Warzone 13s territory and started to travel from the ground, even with my current strength, I did not have the confidence to fly over the area in front of me.

It is a Warzone; there are Platinum Elites everywhere, I don't want to get overconfident and get caught by the Platinum Elite, dying in the hands of it would be the most merciful thing if that happened.

The last mission my team is in the Sander Lake area, to reach there, I would need at least ten hours, but I will try to get there sooner, before the dawn at the least.

I don't know when they are planning to attack the last camp, but with the style of my team and the time that is allocated, there are fifty-fifty chances of that attack having already happened, or it will happen today, so I had to reach there as soon as possible.

It is a good thing I have scout-like Ashlyn, who scouts the enemies and way for me, which makes speed in Grimm Monster dense area quite faster. If I were with my team, I would not have passed through such an area where the numbers of Grimm Monsters are such high.

But I am alone and this way would help me a lot in saving lots of time, so the little risk is worth it. Passing through it, I have come across many Golden Elites, but I did not fight with them, my main focus is reaching Sanders Lake as soon as possible, not fighting ants.

With my current power, everyone below the Platinum Elite is ants though some exceptions are my level who could not only fight me with equal level but could also beat me, they are less in numbers.

Time passed by, and midnight came when I suddenly stopped and hid behind the tree; I did not even dare to breathe loudly as Ashlyn just informed me that a Platinum Elite is coming flying.

This is the third time in the night, Ive come across the Platinum Elite, there are just f.u.c.k.i.n.g too many of them in Grimm Monsters. It was a good thing I had Ashlyn, who had informed me quickly; otherwise, if I were alone, I would have been stretched on hiding before it comes close.

I stayed hidden, and soon, I sensed Platinum Elite flying a hundred meters in front of me. Its speed is slow, and it is looking around, it is clearly on the Patrol. Due to it being an important area for the Grimm Monsters, it is closely Guarded that even Platinum Elite patrols around it.

As I waited with the stopped breath and slowed heartbeat, I found a sense of Grimm Monster spreading over me.

I remained calm and did not make any movements as I kept circulating Killing Energy through my soul Artifact, which is spreading over my body.

With them, I became invisible in the senses of the Platinum Elite, soon the sense of Platinum Elite passed over me, and it flew away. The sense of Platinum Elite had only spread over me for less than a second, but like always, it had scared me to death.

I am no match against the Platinum Elites, so I have to hide it every time they come; otherwise, there would be no say which way I would die.

I waited for a few minutes before I continued my journey, Ashlyn had said it had left far and it was no danger to us.

Time passed by, and three hours later, I got off that Grimm Monsters infested area and entered Sander's lake, but there is still quite a distance I had to cover before I reached the camp of Grimm Monsters.

Hours later, I finally reached the camp and found it good as new, and I also found an interesting thing. My teammates are very near me; they are slowly inching toward the Camp.

'Looks like they are planning on launching an attack before the dawn.' I thought as I watched their movements. I did not reveal myself and waited for them to continue with their mission.

This is a very sensitive time for them; a small mistake could cost them dearly, which is why I did not reveal myself as it will disrupt the whole planning, so I should sit tight and watch.

I had already decided that I would not participate in the mission; I would only do it when they are in trouble, which I don't think they would be as their current power is greater than a month ago.

Fifteen minutes later, a muffled bang resounded as Steven was able to destroy the teleportation formation, and the next moment after that, all of my teammates used the Drill to get inside.

After they all went inside and I also reached the forcefield and started to use the Drill, it is not for me, but for Ashlyn, I sent her in to help in case anyone is in mortal danger.

Crack Crack Crack….Bang!

Few more minutes passed, and I watched the fight through the Ashlyns' eyes when I started to hear the cracking sound from the forcefield, and a few seconds later, it completely blasted apart.

Seeing that I entered inside the camp, some Grimm Monster had found me, but before it could even utter a word, it found something ring front of its left eyes and next moment that unknown thing had already pierced through its left eye.

I found a nice spot and watched the battle which is going quite nicely for now, as I looked at my teammates fighting, I found their strength had risen quite greatly, even rookies.

As I count all the numbers, I found there is one less than a month ago, and it is one of the rookies, so I have to think much to know that it had lost its life during one of the missions.

All of them have improved to some degree, but the one that had surprised me more is Rhea, not surprised but shocked, I may say. She had become Eight Star Golden Elite from Five Star Golden Elite within just a month, but that is not shocking as my speed had been similar.

The thing that shocked me most is the diamond cover on her body, it looked like it is made of scales, and these scales are unlike any other scales I've seen on Monster or Grimm Monster.

Her body is completely covered in Diamond Scales. These scales are very thin; having similar thinness has hair, but they looked extremely beautiful and exceptionally strong.

So, I had seen her blasted apart by an attack of a powerhouse, which is above the Golden Elite, but after being blasted back, she got up as if nothing had happened. Her diamond cover is absolutely fine except for some tiny scratches, which also healed immediately.

Seeing such great defensive power, I am shocked to the core as in more than two months of fighting experience in Warzone; I have never seen anything this highly defensive.

As she had received the sneak attack of Grimm Monster from a very close distance, even Phantom type Mystic Methods I had seen were not defensive to this degree.
