Chapter 1177 - Fish Monster
I looked at the claws of Monster, which are barely missing the hair breath distance from touching my shoulder; if my timing had been slightly off, then it would not be my bust that would have a gaping hole in my body.
Thud!
I called back my sword, and Grey Wolf fell in front of me; I had used all my power to hold back its momentum; I had never used the full force of the Old Set in combat before.
I looked down on my bust and saw the gaping hole closing at the visible rate, and the tarrying energies that were present in the attack had been sucked and getting crushed at the moment.
In half a minute, the injury had healed entirely. I crouched down and placed the body of the wolf into my storage before I walked toward Ashlyn, who had finished her fights too.
When I reached her, I found her standing proudly on the head of Ox Monster. This Ox monster also killed a small size; it is comparable to the size ox monster at the Private stage.
The monsters in the forest grew up in extremely powerful Cosmic Energy, which did not increase their size but their strength instead.
After putting Ox Monster in storage, Ive walked to another two monsters that Ashlyn killed. In the time I had fought with a single monster, Ashlyn had killed three.
After collecting the bodies of all three Monster that Ashlyn killed, I continue with my journey, and fifteen minutes later, we come across another initial duke monster; I did not lift the blade and let Ashlyn kill it.
Back home, Ashlyn rarely gets the chance to fight with me, wanting hide abilities as trump cards, but now there is no one to see us; I let Ashlyn fight at her heart's content.

She finished her fight soon, and we continued, time passed by, and soon the evening came. Seeing the sky getting darker, I did not stop and continued with my journey with Ashlyn.
We have a lot of distance to cover before we reach the Radiant Grove; I plan to reach there in two days as finding something worthwhile there going to take time; I rather spent time there than on the journey.
"Another one," I said softly as I burned the body of Grimm Monster and stored all of its artifacts. It is the sixth body of the Grimm Monster Ive found on my journey.
The monsters hate Grimm Monsters. All their bodies Ive had been destroyed beyond sense. Unlike humans, Monster can't eat the bodies of Grimm Monster, so they destroy them in anger.
It is not that Ive only found bodies of Grimm Monster, Ive also the body of on human or lack thereof. There only some tiny pieces of Skin and Bone through which I confirmed it is human.
I also saw Grimm Monsters and Humans; those bastards had been transferred into the Crown Forest like me. The is not edge of the Crown Forest but in quite deep where Cosmic Energy concentration is relatively high.
At 9:AM, I finally stopped and found a good place to set up and Abode. "Small," I muttered with a sigh as I entered the camouflaged Abode; I had made it small as possible so that it could attract less attention.
I wanted to set up an abode underground, but I did not; Ashlyn had killed two worm monsters on the way, and seeing how strong they are, it will be a mistake to do that.
After entering the Abode, I took a shower in a small bathroom I had created before walking into the small kitchen. It feels a little weird to walk in such a small; it had been a while since I had lived in such a tiny place.

I took out the pieces of fish monster Ashlyn had killed from my storage when we walked by the small lake. It's had been quite a while since I had eaten a fish; the last time I ate them, I was in the Academy.
This Fish Monster was powerful, A mid-Duke Stage Monster that Ashlyn took her sweet time killing. Ashlyn did not damage the body of Fish Monsters much; she knows my preference to eat. She goes a little lighter on the Monsters we eat.
I cut the pieces of Fish very carefully before I started to cook it. The Monsters of this forest are strong but small, which means each piece of their flesh packed a punch, and it is common knowledge that most energy-rich food is delicious.
This Fish monster meat looked soft but needed very high-intensity heat to cook, its a good thing I have rare and precious herbs of high quality. If I had used regular herbs and spices, they would be burned to a crisp under the flame I am using.
One and a half hour passed when I finally finished cooking and served on a tiny table. Ashlyn, who was barely holding back, dug in.
She had wanted to eat half an hour ago. If not for me stopping her forcefully, she would have eaten from the pot.
"Ummmm!" A sound came out of my mouth before I could stop myself; the Fish is extremely delicious, Ive never throught something could be this delicious, and as gulped down, the thick energy present in sucked by my Inheritance Runes.
I was right, every piece of Fish contains huge energy, and this energy is in very pure form. As long as one has enough strength, they could digest this energy very quickly.eating till there eating till there
I took bite after bite, and before I know it, I cleaned off my plate. Seeing that I took a second from the pot without waiting for even a second, now that most of the Fish's energy will go to the Inheritance Ruins, I could eat this Fish without any problem.
I continued eating till there was no space had remained inside my stomach; if there had been some, I would have eaten even more Fish.

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online
