Chapter 1185 - Subterrain III
As the Stage Monster came at me after repelling my attack, the thorny vines shot out of the ground as it had reached me and enveloped it before it could move away with its swift speed.
Just as vines enveloped it, an incredible amount of lightning shot of it and stated burn my vines at a visible rate that it will burn away the whole vines in two seconds.
But how can I let it do that? I pour power into the vines without any reservation and, at the same time, activated the enchantment of my sword at full power.
The Rose Vine is a healing move, but I am using it as the binding move to binding the monster. It is the only choice I have; I can't use my other moves; they all have their disadvantage and would not work against such an opponent.
'I have to make it quick!' As I saw my energy draining at visible speed, I will be empty in five seconds.
I charge my enchantment and pierced my sword into the vines, right when its neck is.
The Stage seemed to have sensed my attack and released even more lightning through her head, which started to burn my vines even more speedily, and I supplied it even more energy, so it would not.
This is the only chance I have, and I have to make it worth otherwise, I will be in trouble.
My sword kept pushing forward through the lightning defense and finally touched its skin.
As that happened, the inheritance Ruin inside me started to burn brighter than the sun as I activated Old Set at full power and used even bit of power I have as I drove down sword at Stages head.
PUCHI!
The strength course through me and finally sword pierced through the monster's head, killing it immediately as the lightning had desspeared completely.

Thud!
The monsters' body fell down as vines came inside me, and with it, I too. I am exhausted and drained of energy, too.
If not for the vine that I had called back inside me, which had given me some energy, I would not have had any energy to use my Inheritance, and that would have been a very bad thing for me in such thick cosmic energy.
After resting for a minute, I looked at Ashlyn, who is still fighting; watching her fight, my expressions couldn't help but change. She is fighting a prince and not one prince but two Price stage powerhouse that seemed her equal match.
When I saw the power of their moves, horror couldn't help but appear on my face. The power of their moves is horrifying. If I had been receiving the end of these attacks, I had been finished in one move.
To my horror, I realize my life in extreme danger from these monsters, and my dream of getting out of here before the ruin is close might be just a pipe dream.
Even Ashlyn, who is very powerful, can only content against Initial Stage Princes, and there will Mid, High, and Peak Level Prince Stage powerhouses here, seeing the concentration of cosmic energy here.
After looked at Ashlyn's fight for a second before I went back to the hole. This place is extremely dangerous; I am quite lucked out that I have abode buried into the stones that monsters couldn't see directly.
It could not be completely safe, but it is safer than other places in this subterranean.
Through the tunnel, I went back to my abode, which had been self repaired and again needed crystals. The abode is not in the best condition but after repairing, it had its utility functions, and most of its defensive abilities have also come back.

I sat in my bed and closed my eyes in rest as I wait for Ashlyn, but I had fallen into sleep unknowingly. The lack of sleep and exhaustion from the fight had made me fall into sleep within a second.
Chew Chew…
Ashlyn's chirp waked me up, and when I looked at my watch, I realize I had slept for seven hours, and it is an afternoon by the Ruins time.
"You rest a little; I will wake you up when lunch is ready," I said as I patted her lovingly. She was awake who night, guarding me. She did not say anything; she just bobbed her little head before closing her eyes.
I quickly freshened up and showered before going into the kitchen and started making lunch. I did not try to make anything elaborate; I just cooked simple food, which took me an hour as I used the meat of this ruins monster.
When the food is ready, I did not have to wake Ashlyn. She woke up and on her own and came flying into the kitchen; while eating, I had asked her a few questions about yesterday.
It turned out when I fought against the one monster, she had fought against the four. Two were Prince Stage while the other two were Dukes; she fought them when I was fighting with that lightning Stag.
This means no monster had attacked us during the night; this is quite a good hiding place.
After finishing the lunch, Ashlyn went back to sleep again while I closed my eyes and refined the energy. I am nearly empty; there is barely 10% energy left in my energy storage, which is grossly insufficient to fight against the monster here if it attacked.
I started refining the energy, and an hour later, I finished filling my energy storage full of energy, but I did not open my eyes.
I want to break into the 2nd Level of Tower; I had tried it before but wasn't successful, but today, I felt like I could be successful.
Bang Bang Bang…
So, I began to build the momentum and started to crash it across the 1st-floor roof.
Crack!
First, there was nothing, but after the repeated tries, a crack finally appeared; seeing the crack, a smile couldn't help but appear on my face as success is just around the corner.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment. Meanwhile, ancient and powerful forces clash in the shadows, racing across the globe to secure powerful artifacts capable of upending the foundations of the world. New chapters released every MWF. Sorry for the random tiny chapters. I structured and uploaded this as a series of scenes, some of which just didn't need to be very long. I could probably attach the "sub-scenes" to previous chapters, but that'd only be covering it up, so I'm not sure its worth it. Anyway if you find them annoying, let me know, and I'll put some more thought into it. I did, at least, make a point of always posting at least a thousand words on any given day (after I noticed the problem), which hopefully mitigates the problem.
