What Graven saw inside the room broke his heart into tiny pieces.

He saw his twin brother and his wife lying on the bed, naked! His brother was pounding his wife's core in ultimate bliss while his wife was writhing in ecstasy in the bed. ​​

After analyzing his current situation, he realized that maybe Laura is much safer on Luke's side, she can be happier with him.

As long the black liquid is still inside his body, he and his men are in grave danger. He might die soon. If that happens, Laura will be taken care of by his brother in this lifetime. It's kind of comforting and at the same time painful. At least Laura didn't end up in another guy's hands but to his brother.

Then his mind recalled the cursed king in that dilapidated castle, he will meet him soon, the moment the black liquid starts creating trouble inside his body.

He tried clearing his mind from anything that bothered him - but to no avail. The scene of Laura and Luke having orgasmic sex in that room will forever give him pain.

He wants this painful night to end so that it will be morning soon, he will get busy and forget the pain for a while.

He was just thankful that he was able to get out of time right before anger, jealousy and rage took over his senses. He released a deep sigh and shut his eyes to sleep.

Graven woke up late, and after eating breakfast, he went to make rounds in the headquarters.

He gathered his 30 men that accompanied him in the dilapidated castle, they also have the black liquid inside their bodies. He addressed them. "Guys... how's your health so far? Did you noticed any changes in your body after you ingested the black liquid?" he asked them.

There was a few seconds of silence among them while they looked at each other. They were shaking their heads.

"Negative! No noticeable change in our body so far, my lord! We're strong as OX!" Calder spoke for the others.

"That's good! I hope that cursed king is only bluffing. But we should not lower our guard down, just in case any of you experienced something out of the ordinary in your body, come to this place at once and notify me!" he said.

"Copy, my lord!" Calder and the other replied in chorus.

"How about the current state of South Pond Town?" Graven asked.

"The town is generally peaceful, my lord, including the villages surrounding the town," Calder responded.

"Good, you may all go now and return to your post. Report here immediately if you notice something strange in the place that you were assigned to guard, and if you are feeling sick don't hesitate to come here so that we can plan our next move," Graven said.

"Ok, my lord!" Calder and the others responded. They began to leave the place.

After the men left. Horace entered the meeting room.

Graven looked at him. "How's everything?" he asked. Ever since his wife and Rebecca went missing... he relies much on Horace to carry on his duties because he wants to devote more of his time finding the missing women.

"Everything is fine, my lord. The coal mine's operation is running smoothly and the other businesses are doing fine as well. I will report to you if something occurs out of the ordinary," Horace said.

"How about my family? My father, brother, sister-in-law, and the kids?" Graven asked.

"They're fine, my lord. There's not many changes or big happenings during your seven days absence," Horace replied.

"Good! I will rely much on you nowadays Horace. I'm glad that you shoulder the big responsibility on my behalf in an efficient manner," he said.

"It's my honor to serve and help you in any way I can, my lord!" Horace said.

"Report to me immediately if something happens with my family, the businesses, and the whole South Pond Town," Graven ordered.

"Yes, my lord!" Horace replied. "By the way, any news about Laura and Rebecca, my lord?" Horace inquired.

Graven released a deep sigh. "I already found Laura's whereabouts..." his voice trailed off.

Gladness spreads on Horace's face. "That's fantastic news, my lord. I'm happy that you already found your missing wife!" he said eagerly waiting for more info. All he got is a sad expression plastered on his Graven's face wondering what's the sadness is all about. "What's wrong, my lord?" he asked.

"Laura and my brother Luke were having sex when I found them inside the room," Graven replied miserably.

"Shiit...!" Horace immediately covered his mouth with his hand. It must be painful for his boss to see his wife and brother having sex. For a moment, he was at a loss of words on how to comfort him. "I'm sorry, my lord..." he finally said.

Graven sighed. "It's okay, I think it's for the best..." he said absentmindedly.

Horace sighed inwardly. "Hmm... how about Rebecca, my lord. Any news about her whereabouts?" he changed the topic quickly.

"I'm working on it. We will find Rebecca soon!" Graven said confidently.

"I hope so, my lord!" Horace said.

"If nothing else...I will take my leave now. Horace, you know how to contact me if there is something that happens that needs my immediate attention," Graven said.

"Got it, my lord!" Horace said.

Graven vanished from the room instantly.

He reappeared in front of Terros bamboo house. He didn't alert the old man about his presence, he just walked quietly towards the wooden bench under the shade of the tree and settled himself comfortably.

He looked at the mountain beyond, sporting a despondent look on his face.

Meanwhile, inside the bamboo house.

Veronica felt Graven's presence. She immediately exited her room and took a peek at the hole in the wall. She saw Graven sitting alone on the wooden bench, looking distraught. What's wrong with him?

Terros exited his room and saw Veronica looking at the hole. He went to her side. "What are you looking at?" he asked.

She looked at him. "Graven is outside waiting for you..." she replied and went to the kitchen

Terros went to the door and exited. He descended the stairs and walked towards Graven's location. He noticed the troubled expression on his face. He immediately knows something is wrong. "Son, what's wrong?" he asked while lowering himself on the bench.

Graven looked at the old man. "Veronica's powder is effective! I've finally found my missing wife," he revealed the news with no excitement in his voice whatsoever.

Terros's face lighted up. "That's fantastic news! I'm happy for you!" he said. "You should be celebrating... but why are you looking so sad?" he asked, confused.

"Old man, when I found Laura and my brother Luke, they were having sex inside the room! You have no idea how painful it is to witness something like that!" Graven blurted out.

"Oh...damn!" Terros said in total surprise. He was shocked for a while unable to say anything to comfort his friend. But then a thought occurred in his mind. "Did Laura enjoyed the sex with your brother?" he asked the uncomfortable question.

"Yes...she's moaning all the way!" Graven answered angrily.

Terros was bewildered. "Hmm...m-maybe your wife was forced to act and respond that way? You know very well that she's a prisoner of your brother. Or maybe your brother put her in trance or some kind of spell so that she will respond to him that way... Talk to her, asked her the truth before you give up on her," he gave him a piece of golden advice.

Graven looked at his friend for a while weighing his statement. "You could be right..." he said and rose to his feet. "Thanks, old man, I'll visit Laura again and find out the truth. I'll take my leave now," he said.

"Good luck!" Terros said and released a deep sigh.
