Half an hour earlier.
Evelyn knows that her parents won't listen to her if she tells them that their life is in danger. That is why she agrees to Ebony's suggestion to evacuate all the people to another town in their sleeping form. She will do the explaining later after they wake up.
Evelyn gathered all their valuable belongings, especially the box where her parents put their money and pieces of jewelry and important papers.
They have to hurry up before Rigor will come to the manor to find her!
Done, Ebony teleported Evelyn into the next town and dropped her inside the darkened church. She summoned five candles in her hands and quickly lighted them, then she left Evelyn inside the church.
Ebony went back to the manor and teleported Evelyn's parents in their sleeping form to the church. She repeated the same process to all the servants at lightning speed with no rest in between.
The moment Ebony finished teleporting everyone to the church, including the two carriages and the four horses, she's ready to drop, physically tired and sleepy. She looked at Evelyn. "Tell your family to never return to the manor because Rigor knows that place and he might be waiting for your return there. I put everyone in a deep sleep, including the animals. When your family wakes up after half an hour, explain to them everything. I can't stay longer to help you in explaining. I have to return to the house to bring my sister to safety. My Grandma freeze my sister because she wanted to go to the abandoned manor to save you. My Grandmother save you instead. Take care of yourself!"
"Thank you so much for helping me and my family!" Evelyn said, feeling grateful for Ebony's hard work and effort.
"Don't mention it!" Ebony replied and disappeared from the church in the blink of an eye.

Evelyn looked at her parents and the servants lying on the wooden floor of the church. Fresh tears emerged in her eyes.
If she only knows that Rigor is not human, she will never fall in love with him even he is good-looking! But it was too late!
She continues sobbing in the pew, blaming herself for everything.
Meanwhile...
Ebony arrived at the house in the forest and began packing their things. Putting them all in the bags made of Abaca.
Mende looked at her sister busy packing their things. Her brows knitted together. "What are you doing? Why are you packing our things? Are we leaving this place? Where is Grandma? Why she didn't return with you? Did you found Evelyn in the abandoned manor?" she bombarded her sister with questions.
Ebony glanced at her sister. "Grandma found your friend inside the abandoned manor with her lover. Evelyn and her entire family including the servants and horses are all safe now inside the church located in the next town," she answered.
"How about, Grandma? Where is she? Why she's not here yet?" Mende asked anxiously, she already got a bad feeling about the whole thing.
Done packing, Ebony went to her sister's side. "Grandma instructed me to bring Evelyn and her whole family to safety, which I already did. And if Grandma can't return right away, that means, she was caught by the creatures inhabiting that abandoned manor. She wants us to go to back to the cave and hide there for safety. That's all!" she explained.
"Sister, unfreeze me now! I want to save Grandma!" Mende shouted.
Ebony looked at her older sister and sighed deeply. "Don't worry, after we arrived in the cave I will unfreeze you," she said and put all the bags in the center of the house. She went to her sister's side and hold her arm. "I'll bring you first to the cave," she said and teleported the two of them into their old home inside the cave, located a thousand miles away from their previous house.

A few minutes later, they finally arrived in the cave and Ebony lighted all the candles lining inside the chamber. She deposited her sister into the bed made of wood. "You will be safe here. I'll go back to our house and bring the rest of the bags here," she said and vanished from the chamber.
Mende roamed her eyes helplessly around the cave. She can't unfreeze herself! She's such a useless creature! She was worried about her grandmother. She wants to go to the abandoned manor and find her grandma!
But she can't unfreeze herself, dammit!
The only thing she can do right now is waiting for her sister to return to the cave, hopefully, her grandma will return with Ebony, safe and sound.
She didn't wait for a long time... 'coz a few minutes later... Ebony returned with their belongings.
"Are you not done yet?" Mende asked.
"I still need to go back there to get some things and bring them here, and after that, I'll no longer leave this place. If Grandma can escape the danger of that place, she knows where to find us," Ebony replied.
Mende released a deep sigh.
Ebony vanished again from the chamber.
All Mende can do is to wait agonizingly, fearing for her sister and grandmother's safety.
A few minutes later, Ebony finally appeared in the chamber with their remaining belongings.
"Whew, I'm finally done!" Ebony said and released a sigh of relief.
Mende was also relieved. In her mind, she was already planning on how to save her grandma. She desperately hoped that she's still alive!
The sisters sleep in the old wooden bed.
Ebony didn't unfreeze her sister to make sure that Menedelia won't be able to leave the cave while she was sleeping peacefully through the night.
Ebony was physically tired of all the activities that she went through in the past hours. She fall asleep a few minutes later.
Mende was unable to sleep, staring at the ceiling of the chamber, feeling frustrated that not only did her grandmother freeze her physically, but she also suppressed her power, she can't teleport anywhere.
Mende's body finally succumbed to sleep after a few hours of endless agony thinking and worrying about her grandmother's safety.
The following day.
Ebony woke up early and stared at her sister still sleeping beside her on the bed. She was shaking her head while gazing at her sister, she know that the moment she will unfreeze her, her sister will go back to that abandoned manor and attempt to save their grandma, worst... she might die there.
The freezing technique that her grandma had put on her sister will expire in a few minutes.
No, she can't allow that! She opened her palm and a brown pellet appeared in her hand. She opened her sister's mouth and dropped the brown pellet into her mouth. The pellet will dissolve in Menedelia's mouth, making her powerless. Her sister can't use her power unless she will feed her the antidote.
Done, Ebony exited the chamber and transferred all their belongings to the clearing outside.
She left the cave to gather dry twigs.
A few minutes later.
She went back to the cave, start a fire and cook something for breakfast before her sister wake up.

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel) V2.
Andrew William. A perfectly average boring name for a perfectly average and boring boy. He wasn't particularly smart nor gifted. Not in academics nor in sports. He wasn't even as good as the other losers and "nerds" in his school. He could not remember the expansive lore of Star Wars, he could not recite the dialogue of Startek nor pull off any cool one-liners and quotes, and he couldn't beat the final level in most games without resorting to cheating or mods. All he had was half-assed knowledge of pop culture and comics, but the one thing he was good at, his one and only pride and calling in life? Making Youtube videos. No, it wasn't sad! He was actually quite popular, honest! He made videos of adventure and nature, although it was mostly of the creepy variety. Abandoned hospitals, old mines, long tunnels, and undiscovered caverns. And as ironic as it was predictable, it would, of course, turn out to be the reason that he died. Well, at least he could take comfort in dying doing what he loved, not many people these days could say the same, you know? The concept comforted him at least, but it turns out death is not always as permanent as people liked to think, because Andrew somehow found himself in New York City of all places after falling to his certain death in the Devil's hole, Death Valley Nevada., only thing was it certainly wasn't the New York that he knew of. The Fantastic Four? Stark Industry? Captain America's biography? Oh boy, and did he mention he's no longer human? His Asian friends had introduced him to the wonders of Isekai novels and mangas, but isn't the order a little messed up? Where's his meeting with the sexy and nice Goddess? Where was his intro or tutorial?? Explanation plz I'm a noob at cross-dimensional travel! Help? Setting? Menu? Status? May I please get to pick my own cheat power? No? I'm stuck as a virus? Well, At least the Prototype Virus was pretty darn cool and OP. Just not as op as being able to casually break the sound barrier in my sneakers or bench pressing the earth, but I'll just have to make do. Please don't be some fucked up Marvel continuity where Nazis and Hydra won or some shit. Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore

Moonshot
Gregarious businessman Evin Tumble is fascinated by the sudden and inexplicable appearance of a low-orbiting moon. Specifically, he's interested in shooting it down with a giant cannon. The moon is only about eight miles overhead, but it's high enough and quick enough that nobody can reach it by balloon or airship. He hires our protagonists: taciturn Iseult Morrin, cheerful Sean Whelan, and nervous Íde Ceallaigh, to help him with his obsession. As our heroes are dispersed across the continent to perform tasks for Tumble, and the moon-hunt draws closer, they become increasingly suspicious of their benefactor's motives and true nature. Moonshot is a story centred around struggling with confidence, the difficulty of being an immigrant, and the duality of truth, all clad in the trappings of an urban fantasy. It is character-driven, from the heart, and based on tropes and ideas that are missing from a lot of contemporary fantasy (a push beyond the flawless-yet-somehow-still-needs-rescuing-by-an-oafish-man heroine trope, a touch of cosmic magic based on the shared geometries of Celtic and Arab art).
