Nix focused on Leva and her Office in Chyanama.

A moment later, he entered Leva's office and tossed her an Orion puppet. "There's no time, inhabit this, and be ready to move."

The Orion instantly animated and moved close to him.

[Nether Walker: Return]

Nix appeared back in the control room a moment later, as he guessed the enabling of the Gating privileges wouldn't trip any immediate alarms. "Drop the animation and open me a breach from here to my turtle house in Ionova."

The Orion collapsed to the floor, and while Nix was stowing it away, a second breach opened up. He jumped through it into his turtle home, surprising everyone in the crowded living room.

/Inferno: Nix: Emergency Elemental mission only. I need, Fajii, Mina, Milat, Ronnie, and Pon to come to the turtle house now.

/Inferno: Mina: Ronnie is with me at HQ, gating now!

Nix glanced around his living room Semmi, Fajii, Wind, and Pon were already present. "Could I borrow the King?"

Wind nodded, and a moment later, the small gecko appeared on his shoulder. "Elemental only?"

"Yes, sorry. You coming, King? Wilo needs our help!"

Fajii picked the gecko off of Wind's shoulder and stepped through the breach with Pon on her heels.

A moment later, the front door opened to admit Ronnie and Mina.

/Inferno: Nix: Into the Breach. Let's go; everyone else stands by in case we need you.

/Inferno: Semmi: Breach? Did you recover your Archon class?

/Inferno: Nix: No.

Nix ushered Mina and Ronnie through the breach and stepped through.

You have joined Team Alpha.

/Alpha: Pon: What's the mission boss?

/Alpha: Nix: Operation, Recover Wilo. Hells about to break loose, leave the Ice Nemesis to the team in place.

/Alpha: Ronnie: My girl? Thank you, Nix!

Another breach opened; this time, Leva stepped through.

Leva has joined Team Alpha. "Finally, I get to fight with you.

"About time." Nix moved back to the interface. "Disable Earth Sentry Company."

The sounds of footsteps echoing down the corridor suddenly stopped when they ran into the Black Ice barrier. An instant later, a pillar of Ice formed in front of the control panel, it immediately burst apart, leaving a man standing there.

/Alpha: Nix: Do not engage this target.

"Hey, shithead." Nix smiled pleasantly and stepped away from the Control panel. "Nice of you to find my city for me."

[Balefire Burst: Fury]

Superheated white flame slammed into Bhalachi, knocking him back several feet. He stood up a few moments later, completely unharmed.

"Your city?" Bhalachi glanced at the black ice barrier and destroyed it with a wave of his hand. He turned back toward Nix. "I know you... You're the reason we've had to change our plans. How did a measly salamander manage to put fear into Khione?"

Nix's smile dropped when Bhalachi started to change. His white hair and blue eyes turned black as night. The light blue aura that surrounded him darkened considerably.

/Alpha: Pon: Careful Nix, he's not a typical Ice Nemesis.

/Alpha: Nix: No, he's a Black Ice Nemesis. It doesn't matter; he's still not our target.

Four Elementals walked down the corridor; Nix sighed heavily when he saw them. "It sucks to be right all the time."

Tibero and Falad exchanged glances with each other and then looked back at Nix.

"What shall we do, boss?" Shoma spoke softly from beside the twins; the Air Elemental seemed stunned by the turn of events.

Silia stepped from behind him, her pale eyes staring at Nix. "When did you know?"

Nix pushed ice into Wrath, slowly the black ice blade emerged. In that instant, all four elementals turned at the sound of a high pitched scream.

A bright pillar of light shot down from the ceiling to completely encompass Mina.

Fajii's hands morphed into large boulders as she slammed both of them into Silia.

The ground beneath them exploded upward and outward, bits of rocks dug deep into his armor. A half dozen strands of Emerald flame wrapped around Silia, anchoring Nix in place while the rest of the team flew backward.

Nix felt an impact on his chest, sending him skidding across the icy floor.

Ronnie's Golem slammed into Silia's, immediately knocking it to the ground, it's enormous burning rock fists slamming into it.

Nix appeared behind Silia and slashed his blade across the back of her legs.

Nix held out both hands and sent a dozens of strands of Fury Flames to wrap around Silia's torso. Hauling back and swinging with all his strength, he slammed her into the nearest wall. When she bounced off, Nix spun in the opposite direction and sent her face-first into the floor.

Silia staggered to her feet, her ears and mouth gushing blood. "You f*cking.."

Nix appeared behind Silia and placed Wrath next to the orb and pushed black ice into it. The clear water orb solidified and turned black as he leaped away.

Nix swore under his breath and turned toward the raised platform. "Finally done pretending, Puppetmaster?"

The long-dead Earth Dragon opened its eyes. "Puppetmaster? How did you know?"

Nix shrugged as the great beast pulled free of the probes that were still feeding off of its marrow. "The Silia puppet was fantastic, by the way, weird though when an Ice Nemesis only attacks with minor earth skills."

"This body has been dormant for decades, I had hoped..." Hierophant trailed off.

"You hoped to continue helping Khione. What did she promise? Let me guess... Spectrum?" Nix noticed Gideon was in human form and was stealthily moving behind Hierophant.

"How did you know that?" Hierophant seemed confused, like the mind of his dormant self had slowed with time.

"You brought the city here and then went dormant, without having to keep Dyrekstad in the air, your marrow could keep it running for years." Nix backed away from the dragon as it slowly lumbered up from the platform.

/Alpha: Leva: It's getting stronger.

/Nix: I know.
