Starting With Contract Pets Chapter 289

When all this was done and they left White Cloud Training Hall, the sun had already set, leaving only a touch of orange in the west.
"Senior Brother, we'll take our leave first, see you tomorrow."
Ouyang Du bid farewell to Su Bai.
"No, wait, there's one more thing." Su Bai stopped him.
Looking at the three of them, Su Bai said again, "Next, I will continue to assign tasks, all of which are to guard the resource points. The task rewards will be tripled.
Take back all the resource points our gym has lost. Whoever refuses to serve will can get lost. Whoever loses can get lost too, and if he wins, I'll be responsible for anything that goes wrong."
He was beginning to fight for the curator position.
"Yes, I will make arrangements tomorrow morning. Now that most of our disciples' pets have blood attributes, dealing with the guys from Giant Dragon Gymnasium will be much easier than before."
The three nodded with excitement on their faces. Senior Brother has finally began to regain the resources that belonged to them.
"Also, find me groups of people who are good at running the company, and another group good at planting and picking spirit plants. I need a few of such people, I'll give them a very substantial reward. They'll definitely not lose out to those doing tasks in a gym."
Su Bai looked at He Yu again and said.
"Senior Brother, don't worry, there are many disciples of this kind. Give me one day, and I'll choose the best people to bring to you the day after tomorrow. Senior Brother, how many do you need?"
He Yu nodded, not sure what Su Bai was going to do, but there was never a shortage of talent at Imperial Dragon Gymnasium.
Those who could come here were not only very strong, but also top in every other aspect.
"Let's find 100 people first, I can help them improve their dragon pets' bloodline."

Su Bai ordered.
"OK, I understand."
He Yu nodded.
"There's one more thing. Continue to release the task of finding Nihility Koi tomorrow, and release the news that ordinary disciples of Giant Dragon Gymnasium can also draw the task, and can also obtain the task of improving their dragon pet bloodline!"
Su Bai thought for a while and said again.
"Senior Brother, your trick is really ruthless. I'll arrange it tomorrow." A smile appeared on Han Wei's face.
He Yu and Ouyang Du also showed a clear look of realization on his face.
This was an undisguised scheme, but Giant Dragon Gymnasium had no other choice. There were very few ways to improve the bloodline of the dragon pet, and only the Ancestor Blood Dragon had such a terrifying and powerful ability.
Seeing those ordinary disciples who were similar to them become elite disciples, and even core disciples, how could their hearts calm down?
As time goes by, they would not be able to help but come to accept tasks in order to improve their dragon pet's bloodline.
Faced with the power at their fingertips, the price paid was so small that no one could resist it.
"OK, that's it for the time being. I'll go first, see you tomorrow."
Su Bai nodded, walked up to Planet Eye, and flew outside the gymnasium.
"Howl~ Ah Bai, has our house changed?"
The cub raised its head in his arms and asked.
"Yes, we've changed our house to a better place."
Su Bai caressed its head.
"Roar, that's great, our previous home was really too small."
Little Tyrant let out a roar, indicating its existence.
After leaving the gym, Su Bai saw Chen Ruoxue sitting on the back of Winter Ice White Dragon waiting for him.
Seeing Su Bai, Chen Ruoxue flew over and landed next to him. She looked at the cub in his arms and smiled. "You finally got them all back. I missed you very much, buddy. Qiu Qiu also missed Mewling Fox very much."

Chen Ruoxue released the Xiao Bai and Thousand-Face Fox Qiu Qiu. She hugged the cub and gently caressed its head.
"Yes, they have all made great progress. Even if they stayed there, there'll be no more improvement in a short time."
Su Bai also released Mewling Fox.
The two guys immediately became affectionate and licked each other, having a lot of fun together.
"Hehe!!"
When Xiao Bai saw the cub, it circled around it, showing all kinds of grimacing faces and funny movements, trying to attract the cub's attention.
"Howl~"
The cub rolled its eyes, not at all excited to see the other party. It did not want to play with it, and twisted its head to snuggle into Chen Ruoxue's arms.
Big Demon: (つд⊂)
It made a cry of grievance, and seemed to be sad because the cub was ignoring it.
But no one could understand why a ghost pet liked to play with a wood pet.
"I also feel that they have become very extraordinary."
Chen Ruoxue nodded.
Back at the manor, the pets began to cheer, chasing and fighting, seeming to make up for the losses for having not played for many days.
The cub has already put on headphones and turned on its tablet. it clicked on a chicken game, and called his long-lost friend, 'Ultimate Invincible'.
Su Bai and Chen Ruoxue cooked together and talked about what happened today.
"Hahaha, it's no wonder that someone in our gym said that you're a bunch of rash men at Imperial Dragon Gymnasium. It makes sense."
After hearing this, Chen Ruoxue laughed out loud. Riding their dragons to the Hou Family was really too exciting to believe.
"I was shocked too." Su Bai spread his hands.
"But the competition for the curator is quite troublesome. Our Fuyao Gymnasium is generally neutral. Even with me there, we can only say that we support you on behalf of the Imperial Dragon Academy."
Chen Ruoxue said again.
"It doesn't matter, as long as my wifey supports me. For example, I want to see you wearing white silk suspenders later today."
Su Bai waved his hand and chuckled.
"Get lost." Chen Ruoxue glared at him.
After feeding the pets and eating, Su Bai rested early.
Early the next morning, he woke up and smiled at Chen Ruoxue, who was still resting next to him holding the quilt.
Her appearance in white silk was so beautiful that he could not resist from entangling with her until midnight.
After getting up, when the two of them had just finished their breakfast and were about to head to the gym, they encountered an unexpected visitor.
"Senior Brother Su Bai, Senior Sister Ruoxue, I hope I'm not bothering you with my visit early in the morning!"
It was a sweet girl with long and straight black hair, a gentle voice, and a pure temperament. She was the kind of girl that every boy liked.
"Who are you? I don't know you."
Su Bai looked at her and asked blankly.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Wei Qingqing. I am a disciple of Giant Kraken Gymnasium, and my father is the current curator. I'm here on behalf of Giant Kraken Gymnasium to speak to Senior Su Bai privately."
She explained with a smile and a trace of apology on her face. After speaking, she glanced at Chen Ruoxue again, hoping she could give them some privacy.
Chen Ruoxue nodded, but as soon as she got up and left, Su Bai drew her back to his side again. He put his arms around her shoulders and looked at Wei Qingqing. "She's my wife, there's no need to avoid her. Please tell me what you're here for."
Su Bai looked at Wei Qingqing and guessed the purpose of her coming.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
