Chapter 230: Doing God’s Work
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
“Palace Leader, we have some good fertilizer this time, there’s a cultivator of tenth stage Dao Body…”
A man with sharp features in a black robe spoke under his breath to a man in a white robe sitting on a tall chair.
The man in the white robe was none other than the Palace Leader of the Heavenly Cloud Palace, Chen Tianming. His expression was quite solemn, but the corners of his lips twitched slightly with mirth. “I thought that would be the extent of the refugees and cultivators who had heeded our call, but who would have thought that there would be another fat little piggie to fall into our trap at this time, what a pleasant surprise.”
Soon, An Lin, Liu Hu, and Liu Susu appeared in the hall.
“An Lin.”
“Liu Hu.”
“Liu Susu.”
“We are honored to be in the presence of the Palace Leader.”
The three of them bowed respectfully upon seeing Chen Tianming.
The various elders in the hall, including Chen Tianming, carefully examined the three people in front of them.
Chen Tianming did not say anything, but a mysterious smile appeared on his face as his eyes flashed past An Lin and Liu Hu before setting on Liu Susu.
Liu Susu felt as if she was being probed by his gaze and was feeling a little uncomfortable, but in the face of a man with so much power, she did not dare to utter a word and could only bow her head slightly.
“Hehehe, who would have thought that there’s not only a fat little piggie but also a pretty little flower too…”
Chen Tianming narrowed his eyes as the smile on his face deepened.
Liu Hu and Liu Susu did not initially comprehend his words and stared in confusion at the man with the powerful aura and a smile on his face.
Chen Tianming nodded contently and issued a command. “Liu Susu can remain here for my pleasure, take the other two piggies and use them as fertilizer.”
This time, Liu Hu and Liu Susu finally came to a realization. They stared with incredulity at the man in front of them as a chill ran down their spines.
“Palace Leader… what are you going to do to us? Aren’t you rallying cultivators to fight the Ant Tribe!?” Liu Hu asked with wide eyes and a trembling voice.
Chen Tianming nodded earnestly. “That’s right, I’ve rallied everyone up to feed my Demonic Blood Lotus so it has the energy to fight the Ant Tribe. Hehehe, but as for Liu Susu, if you keep me happy, I can consider not using you as fertilizer. After all, I’ve grown sick of all the other women who have heeded my call and come here. Someone as pure and lovely as you is certainly not easy to find…”

Liu Susu’s face paled instantly as she gripped her father’s arm, her body trembling uncontrollably.
From Chen Tianming’s words, she knew that the refugees and cultivators that had heeded their call were now all dead.
In the face of such a colossus, she could not even muster up the courage to mock him with her words and could only stare at him with fear and despair in her eyes.
Liu Hu was still in complete disbelief that the Heavenly Cloud Palace he had revered could be like this.
He stood rooted to the spot with a vacant expression, at a complete loss for what to do.
Why had this happened? He only wanted to join an alliance to exact revenge on the Ant Tribe. What had they done to deserve this fate? Even his beloved daughter would become a lowly toy…
“Are you done yapping? If you’re done, I’m gonna start doing God’s work.”
Right at this moment, a voice suddenly reverberated throughout the huge hall.
Liu Hu and Liu Susu came to their senses and turned their gazes upon An Lin.
They suddenly recalled that they had a powerful cultivator accompanying them. He was their only hope for survival!
“Senior An Lin, please be calm, if we try to escape now…” Liu Hu tried to persuade him under his breath as if he was clutching at straws.
He knew that Senior An Lin was extremely powerful, but he was even more familiar with just how terrifying the Heavenly Cloud Palace was. This was a colossus that they had no chance of opposing, so they would only have a chance at survival if they tried to escape with all their might.
Within the hall, everyone fell into a peculiar silence at An Lin’s words.
Chen Tianming and the elders all stared at An Lin as if they were looking at a retard.
“Doing God’s work? Puahahaha… my apologies, I couldn’t help but laugh.” Chen Tianming gripped his stomach as he roared with laughter.
“Do you not comprehend your current situation? Setting aside the fact that you’re only a pathetic tenth stage Dao Body scum, even if you were a Spirit Nurturing Stage cultivator, in my eyes, you’d still only be a slightly more nutritious piggie.” Chen Tianming snapped his fingers after laughing for a while, and a white spell formation suddenly appeared on the ground, exuding a terrifying restrictive power.
Liu Hu and Liu Susu immediately bowed under the power and buckled to the ground.
But An Lin remained upright with a calm expression.
“Oh? So you have some skill.” Chen Tianming’s expression changed slightly.

“You talk a lot of bullsh*t.”
An Lin shook his head and drew his Evil-Slaying Sword. White wisps of wind began to flow around the blade of the sword as he stabbed a finger on his left hand toward a certain spot in the air.
Boom!
The white spell formation completely crumbled as if it had received a heavy blow.
Before Chen Tianming even had a chance to register a surprised expression, the tip of a sword imbued with powerful killing intent had already appeared in front of him as crippling fear of death engulfed him.
An Lin was indescribably fast, just one step transformed his body into a streaky afterimage, and the sword became a thin white line, piercing through Chen Tianming’s heart as if it was a thin bolt of white lightning.
The terrifying power imbued in the sword forced Chen Tianming back, and An Lin continued to press forward until Chen Tianming was nailed to the wall behind him.
Chen Tianming glared with wide eyes as blood flowed down onto the ground from the blade of the Evil-Slaying Sword. Blood spurted forth from the corner of his mouth as he stared in shock at An Lin, unable to comprehend just what had happened.
He was the revered Palace Leader of the Heavenly Cloud Palace, a cultivator of Spirit Nurturing Final Stage, how could he have been pierced in the heart by the sword of someone he had viewed as scum?
“I… you… you…” Chen Tianming’s voice was completely hoarse as he fought to speak, but he found that his crippling fear prevented him from uttering even a single word.
“Shut the hell up, I already told you, I’m here to do God’s work.” An Lin pulled the Evil-Slaying Sword out impatiently as he uttered this clichéd line.
Blood gushed forth as another black sword projection slashed past.
An Lin knew that battles in the cultivation world could change at a moment’s notice, so if one were to kill someone, one had to be absolutely sure that they were dead. Also, one should not waste too much time with words, or one might give one’s opponent a chance to turn the tables around.
Chen Tianming’s head rolled onto the floor.
The dead silence in the hall was finally broken by the sound of Chen Tianming’s head falling to the ground.
All the elders who had been frozen with shock all reared up in violent rage.
“How dare you assassinate the palace leader! I’ll have you drawn, quartered, and cut into a million pieces!”
A mass of elder began to pounce toward An Lin, while two of them, who remained relatively calm, began to pounce toward Liu Hu and Liu Susu after some consideration.
“Da Bai, protect those two!” An Lin yelled.
The miniature white dog instantly expanded in size to become a powerful behemoth who slashed his huge claws at the oncoming assailants.
His claws instantly whipped up blades of wind, severely injuring the two elders and knocking them away.
Liu Hu and Liu Susu only came to their senses at this moment and stared in awe at An Lin, who was singlehandedly fighting six elders at once.
“Senior An Lin is so strong…” Liu Susu’s eyes widened as An Lin’s figure became deeply etched into her mind.
Liu Hu was completely paralyzed with shock. The all-powerful Chen Tianming in his mind had just been killed in one move by An Lin? He didn’t even get a chance to fight before his death! This gave him a completely surreal feeling.
This Senior An Lin who had accompanied them all the way here, just who was he…
Using the Six Strikes of the War God, An Lin’s power could rival that of most Spirit Nurturing Final Stage cultivators, and his Wind Sword technique was capable of taking Spirit Nurturing Final Stage cultivators by surprise for an insta-kill. However, this technique was very taxing on his vital energy reserves, so he did not want to unleash it against the six elders.
These elders were all either Spirit Nurturing Initial Stage or Spirit Nurturing Intermediate Stage cultivators, but their paltry techniques were obviously no match for those from The United University of Cultivation, so fighting the six elders at once was no difficult task for An Lin.
Sirens had already begun to sound in the Heavenly Cloud Palace, and the sect-protection spell formation had also been activated before it crumbled for some unknown reason…
A thunderous roar sounded between heaven and earth.
“Those who bear ill will toward the Heavenly Cloud Palace must perish!”
A bolt of white lightning struck from the sky and punctured the roof before crashing down in front of An Lin.
This was an elderly man with white hair and beard, and white lightning was crackling around his body. He glared at An Lin with rage as a vast aura radiated outwards from the lightning surrounding his body.
The most powerful cultivator of the Heavenly Cloud Palace, Grand Elder Chen Yan was finally here.
