Chapter 270: The East Sea
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
There was a vast expanse of land between the Kingdom of the Nine States and the East Sea, which was a lot bigger than even the Kingdom of the Nine States. There were over a hundred small tribes from the Tai Chu Continent distributed over this vast expanse of land.
An Lin definitely wouldn’t choose to fly to the East Sea. That was simply an unfeasible option as Da Bai would probably die from exhaustion before they even arrived at their destination.
Luckily, he was filthy rich, so they were able to successfully arrive at the East Sea through the use of a series of teleportation spell formations.
“Wow! So this is the East Sea, there’s no end to it in sight!”
An Lin stood on the sandy beach and gazed into the skyline as he exclaimed in excitement.
Translucently blue, infinitely vast, majestic and imposing— those were the immediate first impressions the East Sea gave him.
The location they were situated at was part of the Pearl Kingdom.
The Pearl Kingdom was ruled by the pearl people; they were one of the aforementioned small tribes in the region. The pearl people were very interesting in appearance. All of them were of a yellowish-white pallor with pairs of hands and feet similar to that of a human, but they were very stumpy and short. On top of that, their bodies were extremely round, and their average height was around one meter. Looking from afar, they looked like a bunch of anthropomorphic pearls walking around.
“Mr. An Lin, this is the part of the ocean closest to the Seven Demons Realm.”
A large pearl pointed into the distance with a serious expression on her round face.
Her name was Qiqi, and she was a professional tour guide who had been hired by An Lin for ten thousand spirit stones.
She was a renowned beauty in the nearby Bo Lan City, with the roundest, smoothest, and whitest body around. Even from An Lin’s perspective, she was quite beautiful to behold in a purely artistic way.
An Lin nodded in response. The Seven Demons Realm was a renowned part of the ocean where there were frequent sightings of powerful sea monsters. They would often attack the boats traveling through the region, and some especially bloodthirsty sea monsters would even make their way out of the ocean to hunt for prey on the coast.
There were tales of seven powerful demons ruling over this area of the East Sea with armies of tens of thousands of sea monsters under their command. Hence, the area was named the Seven Demons Realm.
If it wasn’t for An Lin’s willingness to pay a hefty price and his powerful cultivation base, Qiqi would not have taken the risk to bring them here.
“Alright, let’s go back to make some preparations and set off into the ocean tomorrow!” Excitement danced in An Lin’s eyes as he stared out into the sea. “So what if there are seven powerful demons here, I’ll crush them all and become the pirate king!”

No one could understand what An Lin was talking about, but they did manage to grasp one crucial piece of information from his monologue, and that was they were venturing out to sea tomorrow.
Within Bo Lan City, there were round pearl people walking around everywhere, but one could occasionally catch a glance of two human figures.
These humans were probably cultivators who had traveled here from the Kingdom of the Nine States. They towered above all the pearl people like giants and had to be careful when entering buildings in case they bumped into transoms.
As a professional tour guide, Qiqi was very proficient at organizing events.
An Lin and the others explored the region with her in the lead and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Once night fell, Qiqi led them to a renowned restaurant and ordered a huge seafood feast. There were all kinds of seafood delicacies piling up the whole table including shellfish, fish, and sea birds. An Lin, Da Bai, and Xiao Chou cleaned up the whole table of food in record time.
This was the most delicious seafood they had ever tasted.
After their huge seafood feast, they settled down for the night in a hotel.
“I’ve organized three large merchant ships, the top levels of which will be filled with merchandise, as well as bait with extremely strong scents to attract sea monsters.” Qiqi sat in front of An Lin as she reported to him the preparations she had made for their journey out to sea the following day.
The sea was unfathomably huge. If they were to explore the ocean themselves in search of an Emperor-level sea monster, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. The best way was to lure the sea monsters to them, and the three merchant ships would act as the ideal bait.
Just as everyone was chatting in the room, the ground below them suddenly began to tremble.
Boom!
The sound of an ear-splitting explosion erupted from afar as if there had been a heavy collision.
An Lin immediately stood up with a cautious expression.
Qiqi also stood up and opened the windows before looking toward the city gates, where she was met with the sight of roaring flames and thick, billowing smoke. “It’s the sea monsters, they’re attacking the city!”
“Sea monsters attacking the city!?”
An Lin’s eyes immediately lit up as he looked around at Da Bai and Xiao Chou who wore expressions identical to his.
They were just thinking about how to lure the sea monsters into their trap, but the sea monsters were courteous enough to spare them the trouble of doing so! This was an opportunity that they were obviously not going to pass up.
“Let’s go and introduce ourselves to those sea monsters!”
An Lin flew into the air excitedly on his dog’s back and flew toward the city gate.
“Be careful, many of the sea monsters are poisonous!” Qiqi had not yet reached Spirit Nurturing Stage and therefore couldn’t fly, so she could only offer up words of caution as An Lin departed.

“I’ll keep that in mind.”
An Lin flew toward the city gate without even a backward glance. So what if the sea monsters were poisonous? His Evergreen Technique was able to dispel all toxins. Only the poison from Evil Spirit Emperors would be worthy of any concern.
At this moment, the area in front of the city gate had been transformed into a battlefield. Countless pearl people glistened under the moonlight as they scurried around the city wall, forming a long defensive line as they rained cannon blasts onto the sea monsters below.
“General Pearl King, there’s too many of them. If things continue like this, our defensive line is going to crumble!” a pearl soldier yelled.
“Hold on! I’ve already requested reinforcements form Da Lang City, their forces will arrive soon!” a big and round pearl in a suit of dazzling golden keratin armor replied sternly.
Just as they were talking, a huge tentacle suddenly extended over the top of the city wall and began to sweep about with tremendous power.
Countless pearl soldiers yelled in anguish as they were swept off the city wall.
“Hahahaha, Pearl King, come to meet your maker!” A huge octopus over a hundred feet tall appeared outside the city and cackled arrogantly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A black figure rammed into the city gate relentlessly. Countless attacks from the pearl people rained down upon its body, but it continued to remain completely unscathed.
“Deep Sea Octopus King, Dark Water Turtle Monarch…” The Pearl King’s face fell at the sight of the two gigantic creatures attacking the city.
“Don’t forget about me!” At this moment, a semi-transparent creature with lightning crackling around its body appeared in the Pearl King’s line of sight. “Pearl King, cease your meaningless resistance. The Crimson Demonic Emperor is only asking for ten thousand pearl people as a sacrifice. If you surrender and open the city gate for us, we promise to take no more than what is necessary! Otherwise, if we have to break through by force, we’ll slaughter everyone in this city!”
The Pearl King’s body swayed unsteadily at the sight of the creature with lightning crackling around its body. “Lightning Jellyfish King… It looks like the Crimson Demonic Emperor has its eyes set on the Bo Lan City this time…”
The Pearl King was only a Spirit Nurturing Intermediate Stage cultivator, similar to the Deep Sea Octopus King and the Dark Water Turtle Monarch, but the Lightning Jellyfish King was a creature at the peak of Spirit Nurturing Stage. If it really went on a rampage, their city wall would probably crumble under the force of his attacks.
“I’ll give you ten seconds to think! Open the city gate for us and we’ll leave after taking ten thousand pearl people, or we’ll break through by force and slaughter the whole city!” The voice of the Lightning Jellyfish King was like rumbling thunder. It was so loud that even those within Bo Lan City were able to hear its demands.
The residents of Bo Lan City were all in shock. With these three powerful sea monsters combining their forces, the Pearl King was no match for their collective might.
The Jellyfish King had already commenced its countdown. The residents in the city were all scurrying around in a panic. Looking down from a bird’s eye view, it appeared like a bunch of huge pearls rolling around on the ground, presenting quite a sight to behold.
“Time’s up. Looks like you’d prefer to have the whole city slaughtered, Pearl King.” Lightning flashed as the Jellyfish King cackled in a sinister voice.
On top of the city wall, all the pearl soldiers were raining down spell techniques onto the army of sea monsters below.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The Dark Water Turtle Monarch increased its ramming force and cracks were already beginning to appear on the city gate.
“Pearl King, the city gate is about to be breached!” a pearl soldier yelled in panic.
A determined expression appeared on the Pearl King’s face as it transformed into a streak of white light and charged toward the Dark Water Turtle Monarch.
“Heheh, that’s exactly what I was waiting for!” The Jellyfish King cackled as it sent bolts of lightning flying toward the streak of white light.
Boom!
The lightning collided with the streak of white light, and a figure was knocked flying in an explosion of energy.
The Pearl King crashed heavily into the city wall, making a huge indentation on the wall itself.
“Pearl King!” The soldiers on the city wall were instantly gripped with fear.
The figure that had been knocked flying was none other than their most powerful warrior, the Pearl King.
Despair appeared on all the pearl soldiers’ faces. Even the Pearl King was unable to withstand a single attack from the Jellyfish King, was this destined to be the day that Bo Lan City fell?
Another ear-splitting boom erupted, and the Dark Water Turtle Monarch finally managed to ram a huge hole into the city gate.
The army of sea monsters exalted in loud cheers and began to flood in through the hole in the city wall.
“Hahaha… don’t leave any of the pearl people alive!”
The Lightning Jellyfish King charged toward the city wall with unstoppable force, with the sole aim of slaughtering all the pearl soldiers.
“Did you ask for my approval when you decided to trample on these cute pearl people?” a cold voice suddenly sounded.
A huge fist projection crackling with golden lightning collided heavily with the Jellyfish King’s body as golden light lit up the night sky.
Boom!
The seemingly invincible Jellyfish King was knocked to the ground by the golden fist projection as a terrifying blast of energy exploded forth, killing a few dozen sea monsters who were unfortunate enough to be in the general vicinity of the blast.
A proud figure on a white dog appeared in the sky as if he were the destined savior of the pearl people.
Sword Immortal An Lin seized the stage!

Hi, this is my first novel because writing looks fun and I tend to be incredibly bored a lot. I don't know if I'm any good so please tell me what I'm doing wrong as a review Chapters will come out whenever I feel like a reponsible person PS: I am a very indescisive person so the synopsis will change a lot, have fun with that. PPS: I am terrible at writing synopsises. So I'm reading this a few years later and my god its shocking no one shot me in the head when I was younger. But uh, people have been DMing me asking if this story has stopped, which it has. (why was I allowed on the internet during my EdgeLord Phase, I don't know, but someone really should have stopped me) But thanks to all the people who read this, it really does mean a lot.
