Chapter 273: Slaying the Crimson Demonic Emperor
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
An Lin’s storage ring flashed and two silver, metallic Gundams appeared from within.
Bei Lian stared at the two mechanical puppets in front of her in shock. “These are the trump cards you’re referring to?”
An Lin nodded. “These two Gundams each possess strength comparable to a Soul Formation Initial Stage cultivator… From their auras, it appears that there are three Soul Formation Initial Stage sea monsters while the other two are Soul Formation Intermediate Stage.
“The Divine Wind Demon Monarch and the Myriad Wave Demon Emperor are the two Soul Formation Intermediate Stage sea monsters, you go and stall them for as long as possible and leave the other three to me. I’ll take care of them then come to assist you.”
Bei Lian stared at An Lin with disbelief in her eyes.
In the distance, the sea monster army surged toward them like a turbulent wave as the sound of horn erupted, signaling the commencement of battle.
A creature with a cow’s head and a pair of crimson horns flew toward them in the air on a wave of blood.
A massive whale of a few hundred feet in length was lifted up by a plume of black mist as it slowly approached Bo Lan City through the air. A purple glow radiated from its pupils, seemingly able to mesmerize its onlookers.
A sea monster standing on its hind legs with green coral all over its body and a pair of saber arms strode toward them, covering a vast distance of a hundred feet with each step. Everything in its wake was completely corroded as a deathly aura emanated from its surroundings.
“Crimson Demonic Emperor, Overlord Whale, Coral Shinigami…” Bei Lian rattled off all these names which belonged to extremely renowned Emperor-level sea monsters in the East Sea.
The Pearl King had already collapsed onto the ground with a despairing expression. “Why are there so many Emperor-level sea monsters, are the Heavens trying to smite Bo Lan City?”
Not only had the Pearl King been scared sh*tless, but all the pearl soldiers on the city wall had also collapsed in fear. Just one Emperor-level sea monster was enough to destroy several cities. Bo Lan City was now being invaded by as many as five; what was their objective?
“Capture ten thousand live pearl people for the sacrifice and kill the rest!”
The Crimson Demonic Emperor stood proudly in mid-air as it commanded in an earth-shattering voice.
This was not a declaration of war, this was the declaration of an inevitable result.

Boom…
The sea monster army began to mobilize as war cries erupted throughout heaven and earth.
At the same time, the five Emperor-level sea monsters also set into motion. They all wore cold expressions as if they were preparing to stamp an ant into the ground.
The huge silver falcon descended as bolts of white lightning formed sharp swords and crashed toward the city wall.
“Don’t die.” Bei Lian eyes turned golden as she looked at An Lin for one last time before countless bolts of lightning began to erupt around her as she pounced toward the Divine Wind Demon Monarch, their clash creating the most spectacular show of explosive lightning.
Boom!
The two opposing destructive forces of lightning clashed together, lighting up the entire night sky and creating a shockwave which radiated outwards for over a kilometer.
Then, under the shocked gazes of the other four Emperor-level sea monsters, the Divine Wind Demon Monarch was knocked back a few hundred meters by the powerful Dragon Princess.
“She’s from the Dragon Court!” The Crimson Demonic Emperor immediately reacted to the situation.
“Calm down, she’s only one person, we can eliminate her together!” The Overlord Whale turned its huge body as the purple glow in its eyes grew even brighter.
However, right at this moment, a silver Gundam descended from the sky and aimed a fist into the mountainous body of the Overlord Whale.
From afar, it looked like a tiny silver speck landing on an endless expanse of black, following which the mountainous black body began to cave in…
The Overlord Whale yelled in anguish and began to fall from the sky.
The Coral Shinigami’s expression drastically shifted as it sought to assist the Overlord Whale, but it was met by another silver figure. The silver figure slashed a light sword toward the Coral Shinigami; its sword was like a sword of blue lightning, carving a lethal trajectory through the air.
“They have more reinforcements?!” He dodged the strike and began to emit thick green mist from its body. The silver Gundam was soon completely engulfed in the extremely toxic mist which could even corrode a magic tool and liquefy it.
The Gundam swung its light sword relentlessly as the Coral Shinigami was forced into retreat. The toxic mist made contact with its smooth, mirror-like armor, but was unable to inflict any damage.
“What the hell? Where did these mechanical puppets come from?” The Crimson Demonic Emperor began to scan the battlefield nervously.
He then caught sight of a man charging at him while riding on top of a white dog with an accompanying monkey king enshrouded in black flames…

The pearl soldiers also began to offer up a spirited resistance against the army of sea monsters.
Just as they were falling to complete despair, An Lin and the Dragon Princess entered the fray to keep the powerful Emperor-level sea monsters at bay, thereby greatly lifting everyone’s spirits.
“Hold on, everyone! We haven’t lost this battle yet!” The Pearl King roared as he swung his sword.
The city-protection spell formation was activated as countless spell techniques rained down onto the sea monster army below, blasting a massive crater into the ground while tearing countless sea monsters to shreds. However, there were simply too many sea monsters, and the city wall began to tremble violently under their collective attacks, clearly on the brink of collapse.
In the air, Bei Lian, who was singlehandedly battling the Myriad Wave Demon Emperor and the Divine Wind Demon Monarch, was also in dire straits.
The two of them were both experienced Soul Formation Intermediate Stage monsters, but she had only just recently broken through to Soul Formation Intermediate Stage. Even though she possessed the extremely powerful bloodline of dragons, the combined attacks of her two enemies were slowly wearing her down toward what seemed like an inevitable defeat.
Was it time to use that mystic technique?
The mystic technique greatly boosted her combat strength at the expense of diluting the purity of her bloodline. If she was to use it, then she basically had no chance of breaking through to Return to Void Stage in the future…
But if she didn’t use the mystic technique, An Lin would probably soon be overwhelmed and killed.
Bei Lian turned her head to assess An Lin’s situation with concern in her eyes.
She was then greeted by the sight of the Crimson Demonic Emperor’s head falling down from the sky…
A man with white wings on his back and a sword of wind that appeared to be shimmering as he flew in mid-air, along with a pair of piercing white eyes that seemed to be able to pierce through all illusions.
“Is that… An Lin? He really managed to kill the Crimson Demonic Emperor!
“But he’s only Spirit Nurturing Intermediate Stage… how did he do it…”
Bei Lian’s pupils contracted drastically as she stared at An Lin with shock written all over her exquisite features.
The other four Emperor-level sea monsters were also given a fright at the disappearance of the Crimson Demonic Emperor’s aura. When they discovered the person that had killed the Crimson Demonic Emperor was only Spirit Nurturing Stage, they were shocked into complete silence.
“Are you kidding me? The Crimson Demonic Emperor was killed by that Spirit Nurturing Stage human cultivator? Even with the help of the huge dog and the monkey king, he shouldn’t have fallen so quickly!” A chill ran down the Divine Wind Demon Monarch’s spine.
“We have to eliminate that human cultivator first!” said the Myriad Wave Demon Emperor and hundreds of mutant beasts flew forth toward An Lin from within its giant clamshell.
The Divine Wind Demon Monarch spread its silver wings and summoned up bolts of lightning as it tore through the air toward An Lin at a speed that exceeded the speed of sound.
Bei Lian gritted her teeth and stood in defense in front of An Lin as lightning began to ripple around her body.
Her slender hands were like the wings of a hummingbird, quickly making one seal after another. Suddenly, nine blue lightning dragons flew into the sky, creating a massive spell formation which defended against the attacks of the two Emperor-level sea monsters.
After successfully slaying the Crimson Demonic Emperor, a “Ding Dong” sounded in An Lin’s mind.
“Congratulations, mission successfully completed!”
Immediately following this, he felt as if a certain shackle in his body was shattered once again.
“Xiao Chou, Da Bai, protect me, I’m about to make a breakthrough!”
An Lin roared as he hurriedly flew toward the city wall and sat down in meditation.
“Big Brother An, now’s not the time for jokes. Didn’t you just break through not long ago? Woof!” Da Bai flew toward An Lin and stared at him with his big watery eyes.
However, he was instantly greeted by the sight of a surging vortex of vital energy which spanned an area a few thousand feet in radius…
Da Bai: “…”
Xiao Chou picked his nose nonchalantly. “Big Brother Bai, you should stop applying the theoretic principles of cultivating to Big Brother An.”
Da Bai nodded with a serious expression. “Sorry for my mistake.”
Someone was about to make a breakthrough? The remaining four Emperor-level sea monsters all stirred as they detected the violent surge of the Spiritual Energy of Heaven and Earth around them.
They all turned their gazes toward An Lin as their eyelids twitched. Him again?!
He just slew the Crimson Demonic Emperor, now he was celebrating by making a breakthrough?
Bei Lian’s lips also twitched in disbelief. She was completely at a loss for how to evaluate this human cultivator. In her heart, she added a “miraculous” label onto her image of An Lin.
