Chapter 282: Golden Ginseng
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Crack…
The black ball cracked very evenly, and its smooth and polished surface was instantly filled with a network of neat fractures.
The outer shell of the ball completely shattered. They were all dumbstruck when they saw what lay inside.
This was a golden-yellow ginseng. It was half the size of a human and had a flower growing on top of its head. It plopped onto the floor and opened its large eyes dazedly.
“This is…” An Lin sucked in a deep breath before continuing, “the Reincarnation Ginseng?”
The others were also in disbelief. Isn’t it meant to be a first-rank immortal object? Could it be that it can also become a spirit?
The golden-yellow ginseng stood up, and its large round eyes looked straight ahead.
“Papa!” It pitter-pattered over to a Gundam and hugged its leg.
Some Gundam: “…”
“Mama!” It pitter-pattered over to the other Gundam and also hugged its leg.
Some Gundam: “…”
Seeing this, An Lin sucked in another deep breath. “It can even speak?!”
Yin Yu grimaced. “Is that the point? The main point is, why can it run right after being born? Doesn’t this mean that it doesn’t even need a baby cot?!”
Da Bai’s face twitched. “Both of your focal points are toxic!” he said loudly. “Anyhow, shouldn’t the focal point be, why can this ginseng tell which of these Gundams is male and which is female? Woof!”
Xiao Chou looked toward the sky. “Enjoy your conversation.”
Right at this moment, the ground suddenly began to tremor.
Immediately afterward, ghostly wails broke out.
Countless evil spirits which were wondering about all turned their gaze toward An Lin and the others.
Crowds of bone ghosts crawled out from the ravines. Like swarms of locusts, many more flew over from the skies. Their pitch-black and empty eye sockets were fixed upon An Lin and the others, and they regarded them coldly.
“I have a bad feeling about this…” An Lin was astounded as he glanced around.
“Waah!” The golden-yellow ginseng burst into tears. “Milk~ I want to drink milk~”
As it sobbed, it hugged onto the leg of one of the Gundams. “Mama,” it wailed, “I want to drink milk~”
Some Gundam: “…”
Everyone: “…”

Right at this moment, it was as if the surrounding evil spirits and bone ghosts had been aroused by something. Their auras intensified and they charged toward An Lin and the others. There were even three Soul Formation Stage Bone Mist Dragons amid them.
“Run!” An Lin roared. He grabbed the ginseng and immediately flew off on his black brick.
The others all started fleeing without hesitation.
Seeing An Lin and the others flee, the evil spirits and bone ghosts entered a state of frenzy and started giving chase.
An Lin tried to place the golden-yellow ginseng into his storage ring. To his surprise, his attempt succeeded.
Could it be that this ginseng hasn’t become a spirit yet? Storage rings are unable to hold intelligent life forms. How come the golden-yellow ginseng can be placed into the storage ring? Does this signify that it isn’t an intelligent life form?
Why does it know how to speak then? It even wants to drink milk…
Hiss…
A large mob of evil spirits suddenly lunged out from in front of him.
An Lin didn’t have time to contemplate such matters anymore, and he directly entered into battle.
The evil spirits and bone ghosts all pounced toward An Lin ferociously. It was as if they had received some sort of stimulation.
They didn’t show any signs of slowing down their attacks, and more and more of them flocked over from the distance.
If this continued, heavens knew what scale the evil spirit army would become.
“Which direction should we flee?!” Yin Yu yelled in panic.
Her hairs stood on end as more and more evil spirits converged behind them. If they fled any slower and were caught by the pursuing evil spirits, then what awaited them was certain death.
“We’ll flee toward the exit! We’ll check to see if the spatial passageway has reopened!”
An Lin had pretty much collected all the treasures now. That golden-yellow ginseng was almost certainly the Reincarnation Ginseng. There was no point in staying here any longer.
…
Barrier passageway.
The white crack had roughly widened back to its initial size already.
The red-haired male gazed at the distant passageway with burning excitement in his eyes.
Now, it was finally time to escape this ghastly place.
However, the mob of bone ghosts roaming near the edge of the barrier still posed a significant problem. Without any cannon fodder, it would be extremely risky for him to charge through them himself. Perhaps it might even endanger his life.

Boom…
Huh? What’s this sound?
Chi Wu turned around and saw that the sky behind him had darkened. It had become pitch-black.
Looking closely… Holy f*ck!
Chi Wu’s legs trembled, and he almost wet his pants in fright. Those are all f*cking evil spirits and bone ghosts!!!
How many are there? Thirty thousand? Fifty thousand? Or a hundred thousand?
Chi Wu’s eyes bulged. There was a look of incredulity on his face as he stared at the army of evil spirits and bone ghosts which was stampeding over.
Why are they charging over? They can’t be charging over to kill me, right?
He was clearly only a passerby! For them to send out such a huge army, how strong was their enmity toward him?
Huh… That’s not it!
Chi Wu squinted his eyes. There were people over there!
Immediately afterward, he saw those familiar faces. It was that human, dog, and monkey.
It’s them?!
A chilly expression spread over Chi Wu’s face. He still had a bone to pick with An Lin for selling him out.
Even though he also sold his teammates out, those were his imperial guards. He could sell them out, but what right did that group of cultivators have to sell them out? He was very broken-hearted!
Then, his heart almost skipped a beat. He saw those three familiar figures again.
“Thirteenth Sister! She’s still alive?”
“That’s great! I was just stressing out over how to explain this matter to father. Now I don’t need to worry anymore. Was she rescued by those people?”
Prince Chi Wu didn’t believe for a second that Thirteenth Princess had the ability to escape by herself. She definitely received outside help to escape the Myriad Ghost Realm. However, this meant that his attitude toward An Lin had to become more positive.
He knew that this was the last opportunity for him to escape this realm. The pursuing spirits and ghosts were no laughing matter.
Seeing that An Lin and the others had almost arrived at his location, he immediately dashed toward them.
“Thirteenth Sister! I’m so happy that you’re safe!”
The rims of Chi Wu’s eyes were red as he flew toward Princess Yin Yu.
Seeing him fly over, Yin Yu was slightly dazed. Then, she turned her face away and sneered, “You still have the face to appear before me?”
A look of shame spread across Chi Wu’s face. His eyes were red and he was on the verge of tears. “Big brother… is useless. It’s my fault I wasn’t able to rescue you from the Myriad Ghost Realm… However, it truly is great seeing you safe and well…”
Even after seeing Chi Wu’s look of sorrow and regret, Yin Yu remained cold and silent.
An Lin was quite surprised by these scenes. Chi Wu’s expression was extremely sincere. If he was on Earth, such great acting would definitely earn him the Academy Award for Best Actor! His acting skills were miles ahead of the Demon King of Wisdom.
At this moment, Chi Wu turned to face An Lin. “Fellow cultivator, thank you so much for rescuing my little sister,” he thanked emotionally. “From hereafter, you’ll forever be my friend! You’ll forever be the Dragon Court’s friend!”
Looking at Chi Wu’s friendly expression, An Lin shook his hands. “You’re welcome. I take the money, I do the work…”
“Take the money, do the work?” Chi Wu blinked in confusion.
“I gave the sheepskin treasure map to An Lin,” Yin Yu said coldly.
Boom!
This news struck Chi Wu like a thunderbolt.
An Lin had an expression of indifference as he handed the sheepskin map to Chi Wu. “This map isn’t all that accurate anyway~ Out of the ten marked locations, only eight had treasures. Here, have the treasure map back!”
Chi Wu grimaced as he accepted the map.
You’re returning the map to me? You’ve already obtained all the treasures! What’s the f*cking point of giving it to me?
Chi Wu smiled. This smile was even more unsightly than a weeping face.
He had planned on coming back to the ancient battleground after returning to the Dragon Court and enlisting a few helpers.
However, he wouldn’t need to go to such troubles anymore. There was nothing left for him to find…
Boom!
Gundam One and Gundam Two launched their Photovoltaic Cannons and blasted away the two Black Mist Bone Dragons which were guarding the barrier passageway.
The group of cultivators once again clashed with the bone ghosts violently. They managed to carve out a path, and they all dashed into the spatial passageway…
