Chapter 347: Demons of Hell
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
An Lin and the others walked through the spatial tunnel toward the next spatial node.
They were greeted by the sight of an extremely peculiar landscape. A thick layer of rock comprised the entirety of the sky, while the ground was a vast expanse of scorching land, with crimson magma flowing through the cracks. The air around them was filled with a pungent, toxic gas.
An Lin felt like their surroundings were a bit similar to the world under the Earth’s crust.
The scene around them was extremely similar to the first level of the test of survival during the Dao Exchange Conference of the Four Powers. However, the space they were in was many times more cavernous and the layer of rock formations overhead was also a lot higher.
Just as An Lin was making these observations, a patch of rock formation in the distance above their heads suddenly began to crack open.
Boom!
A few inky black figures crashed to the ground with a resounding boom.
An Lin focused his gaze on them and an expression of shock emerged on his face.
He was greeted by the sight of nine peculiar living organisms, whose bodies were completely black with extremely stable biological structures, unlike the twisted chaos that comprised the sinister devils. They also seemed to possess vast amounts of power which gave one a sense of overwhelming asphyxiation.
They came in many different shapes and forms, with some standing on their hind legs like humans, while some were huge tigers with two heads and there were even elephants with wispy black wings on their backs…
“These are the Demons of Hell from the Tai Chu Continent. They’re rumored to reside within the underground world and survive from absorbing geothermal energy and the energy of death. Their life forces rival those of powerful beings of the Blood Tribe, so be on your guard everyone!” Xuanyuan Cheng spoke with a grave expression.
The Demons of Hell panted audibly as they stared at everyone with their crimson eyes.
The atmosphere suddenly became quite grim.
Just as the two sides were caught in a tense confrontation, a voice suddenly sounded from afar.
“Let me start things off!”
A woman with short pink hair leaped into the air with her six-feathered staff hanging beside her.
Boom!
A scorching white pillar of light tore through the ground and struck the giant double-headed tiger in the forefront.

The pillar of light was none other than Liu Qianhuan’s signature technique, Final Spark.
The double-headed tiger was caught off guard by her surprise attack, and it didn’t even have a chance to evade before its head was punctured by the pillar of light, leaving a huge gaping hole in its head!
“Roar!”
The other eight Demons of Hell all flared up with rage, and pounced toward An Lin and the others!
The double-headed tiger didn’t die from the hole in its head as expected. The flesh around his skull gradually knitted itself back together and had soon regenerated to its original state.
Liu Qianhuan caught sight of this and knew that this was not going to be an easy battle.
However, she was not discouraged by this and she leaped onto her staff and flew toward the double-headed tiger.
A humanoid demon pounced toward An Lin wielding a thin sword. It flashed toward An Lin at blinding speed, creating afterimages in its wake.
The battle had only just begun and everyone could already see that the Demons of Hell were extremely powerful! They were so powerful that only Xuanyuan Cheng, Su Qianyun, Xu Xiaolan, and Liu Qianhuan were able to hold off one on their own, whereas Yao Mingxi and Hu Guan immediately fell to a disadvantage in their attempts to engage a demon each.
Hu Guan was soon knocked flying by a huge black python, and he spat out a mouthful of blood as he was sent flying through the air like a rag-doll.
An Lin slashed out a black sword projection which forced a demon into retreat and he took the opportunity to assist Hu Guan and the others.
First technique, Wind Sword!
Wings of Wind materialized on his back and he accelerated explosively as he slashed out a lethal sword projection into another demon’s neck.
The demon then stumbled back in retreat as blood gushed forth from the wound on its neck, but its flesh once again squirmed and knitted itself together, thereby allowing it to heal what should have been a fatal wound.
An Lin became quite agitated after seeing their regenerative abilities. These Demons of Hell were even more annoying to deal with than the sinister devils!
The sinister devils were extremely powerful offensively, whereas the Demons of Hell had extreme regenerative abilities, just like the Blood Tribe!
“Roar…”
An anguished wail suddenly sounded from afar.
An Lin glanced toward the source of the commotion to find a demon in the form of a giant centipede sprawled in front of Xuanyuan Cheng. Its life force had clearly drained away, and it was beginning to vanish before An Lin’s very eyes.

Nice, Big Brother Cheng!
Right at this moment, Xuanyuan Cheng had switched targets to a giant python which was engaged in battle with one of the Gundams.
Big Brother Cheng’s sword techniques were elegant and graceful as he slashed out countless sword projections to create a fine white net. The lethal net tore through the skin of the giant python and although the injuries weren’t lethal, the giant python was somehow unable to regenerate from its wounds.
The python retaliated with powerful attacks of its own, but Xuanyuan Cheng was able to parry all the attacks which then landed on the ground below, creating huge craters and sending tremors running through the earth.
After a fierce battle, Xuanyuan Cheng retreated with the lightness of a sparrow.
“Myriad Spirit Fate—Death!”
He raised his sword to be parallel with his brows and a mysterious ripple flashed through the air before striking toward the python.
“Hiss…!” The python wailed in anguish and the wounds on its body quickly rotted away as its vitality was also drained at an alarming rate. Its powerful life force began to dissipate and the python was completely unable to stem its flow.
An Lin was finally able to witness how Big Brother Cheng was slaying these Demons of Hell.
The Dao of Myriad Spirit Taichi was heavily entrenched in the Dao of life and death. Hence, it was able to ignore the strength of the life forces within its opponents, thereby leveling the playing field.
These types of insanely powerful cultivation methods were extremely difficult to cultivate, but Big Brother Cheng had attained an extremely deep understanding of it. This was the true reason he was held in such high regard by one of the True Gods.
However, An Lin was not able to replicate Big Brother Cheng’s methods so he had to figure out a way for himself!
Xuanyuan Cheng didn’t pause after slaying the python and continued toward Yao Mingxi to assist him in his battle.
With great difficulty, An Lin finally slashed the demon before him in half, but it instantly regenerated itself and entered the fray once again.
The auras of the Demons of Hell would become slightly more feeble after each regeneration, but their combat strength didn’t decrease by much. Hence, this soon became a battle between the powerful vitality of the Demons of Hell and the stamina of An Lin and the other cultivators.
An Lin glanced toward White Spirit Snake to find that Battle Goddess Bi Qiong had trapped a demon with a spell technique, thereby enabling White Spirit Snake to assault it with her whip with no fear of retaliation.
“Go, Master White, hit it with all your might!
“The more power you strike it with, the more points you’ll get when we win!”
Battle Goddess Bi Qiong encouraged with a doting expression.
“Alright, Litte Qing, I’ll try my best!” White Spirit Snake’s expression was filled with determination as she whipped the demon trapped in front of her with her Lightning Bone Whip.
The wolf demon roared in humiliation. It wasn’t humiliated because it couldn’t defeat its opponent; it was humiliated as it was being whipped by someone far weaker than itself.
This was like a powerful warrior being shackled in a steel cage while a little kid shot him in the face with a water gun…
An Lin sighed with emotion at this scene.
A powerful beast pet truly can carry one to the pinnacle of the world…
However, Tian Lingling was a lot less fortunate. She tossed a few talismans to no avail against the four-winged demonic bird in the sky and could only look on with frustration.
The four-winged demonic bird had been knocked flying by Battle God Zi Yang and knew that it was no match for him, so it began to flap around in the air, adopting guerrilla warfare tactics as it unleashed powerful blades of wind from time to time.
These attacks were all easily dispelled by Zi Yang.
However, he didn’t take the initiative to go after the demonic bird either. The task he had been delegated was to protect the two people behind him, so he was doing the bare minimum and only sprang into action when the two of them came under threat.
An Lin heaved a light sigh. It looked like Big Brother Cheng was going to be the MVP of this battle.
Oh? Wait!
A thought suddenly occurred to An Lin as he recalled something.
His eyes lit up as he thought of something he could do!

So let's cut the pretense: this is some garbage-tier weaboo fiction. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I feel it's important to say that this is some nonsense I write for fun. I picked up a ball that started rolling when I was a kid and have been intermittently punting it towards the next chapter whenever I feel like it.
