Xu Xiaolan opened her eyes from a kilometer away and looked toward the source of the commotion. Her brows furrowed as she heard a familiar voice ring out in the distance.

“Holy f*ck! I was just playing a prank, are you trying to kill me?!” An Lin massaged his red and swollen cheek as he glared at Liu Qianhuan. If he was still a Spirit Nurturing Stage cultivator, his face would have probably been disfigured from that slap.

Liu Qianhuan humphed coldly at the sight of An Lin. “That’s what you get for trying to scare me!”

An Lin heaved a forlorn sigh. If a guy played a prank on a girl on Earth, the girl would probably just scream and at most aim a delicate kick at the guy.

However, playing a prank here earned him a near-lethal slap to the face instead.
