Chapter 664: Sparring with Big Brother Cheng
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Within the Dark Marshlands, three black mosquitoes subdued their auras as they flew toward a massive city in the distance.
Their bodies were entirely pitch black, and they continually pierced through the space before them. They appeared to be moving quite slowly, but they were actually closing in on their destination at extreme speed.
A flash of black-and-white lightning suddenly appeared in the air.
A pair of eyes constructed from lightning materialized overhead, sending a monstrous power sweeping toward the three mosquitoes, as if it were threatening to crush them in an instant.
The three mosquitoes sh*t themselves as they froze on the spot.
“Wait! We, we are An Lin’s slaves, Senior…” One of the mosquitoes reacted extremely quickly before speaking in an extremely respectful voice.
The seemingly omnipotent eyes stared at them for a while longer before vanishing as if they had never existed.
The three mosquitoes heaved a sigh of relief, and they looked up each other with fear lingering in their hearts before continuing on toward Huang Quan City…
The weather was quite nice today, and the sun shone with a radiant light overhead.
An Lin stood outside Huang Quan City with an extremely handsome man standing before him.
Several hundred meters away, there were many spectators who had their eyes fixed on the two men with nervous expressions.
“Big Brother Cheng, take it easy and don’t panic!” An Lin pulled out his Chaotic Alloy Brick as he spoke.
Xuanyuan Cheng looked at An Lin with an exasperated expression. “I’ll have to ask you not to panic either, Classmate An Lin. Your skin is so thick; you’re in no danger of dying!”
“Even if I won’t die, it would hurt. I’m very sensitive!” An Lin retorted.
“Big Brother Cheng, release your domain slowly and fill your mind with everything that is beautiful and good in this world. Make sure you remain calm no matter what!” An Lin continued with a serious expression.
Xuanyuan Cheng was getting quite bored of doing nothing, and he decided to ask An Lin to be his sparring partner so that he could try and perfect his domain. After all, there would be no way to modify his domain once he reached the Soul Formation Stage. Thus, he wanted to try and see if he could better control it before then.

Xuanyuan Cheng’s eyes focused on An Lin, and white streams of energy instantly encapsulated the space around him in a radius of over a thousand feet.
His domain was like a realm of viscous cloud and mist, transitioning from one form to another while exuding a potent sense of vitality from the dao of Myriad Spirit Taichi. The dried and cracked ground seemed to have been affected by his domain as green seedlings began to sprout from the parched earth, creating a scene filled with serenity and abundant vitality.
“That’s good, keep this up! Don’t get angry no matter what! You’re doing extremely well, Big Brother Cheng!” An Lin poked his head out from the side of his black brick as he offered words of encouragement.
Some of the female students were completely entranced by the sight of Xuanyuan Cheng in an elegant white robe standing amid a realm of cloud and mist. Big Brother Cheng was still the most handsome man in the entire university!
An Lin swallowed nervously before speaking, “Big Brother Cheng, I’m going to attack now…”
“Alright, come at me, Classmate An Lin!” Xuanyuan Cheng’s breathing accelerated, and it was apparent that he too was a little nervous.
“Take this, Big Brother Cheng!” An Lin roared as he launched a fist projection toward Xuanyuan Cheng.
The fist projection pierced through the air en route to Xuanyuan Cheng.
Xuanyuan Cheng unleashed his dao of Myriad Spirit Taichi to redirect An Lin’s attack, and it crashed into the ground behind him, leaving a massive crater several dozen meters deep.
“You can unleash more power, Classmate An Lin!”
“Alright, I’m going to up the ante a little bit then, Big Brother Cheng!”
Bam bam bam…
An Lin activated his Earth Lotus Supreme Skill, and a golden light exploded forth around him.
Xuanyuan Cheng wielded his longsword to defend himself against An Lin’s ferocious attacks and occasionally launched a few attacks of his own, but his sword strikes were nowhere near powerful enough to slice through An Lin’s body of the War God.

“Big Brother Cheng, I’m going to use lightning now!”
Boom!
A bolt of lightning fell from the sky.
Xuanyuan Cheng had no time to dodge, and the lightning struck his left shoulder, leaving his clothes in tatters and charring his skin in the process.
His heart surged as he was struck by acute pain, and a strong urge to unleash destructive power welled up in his heart. However, he managed to suppress this urge in the end.
An Lin held the black brick like a shield with one hand as he unleashed spell techniques with his other hand.
Xuanyuan Cheng was forced firmly onto the back foot by An Lin, and his domain was slowly showing signs of becoming more volatile.
“Stay in control, Big Brother Cheng, take deep breaths!” An Lin cautioned.
“Shut up and hit me!” Scorching light exuded from Xuanyuan Cheng’s eyes.
An Lin was terrified by Xuanyuan Cheng’s expression, and he unconsciously decreased the power behind his attacks as he focused more of his attention on controlling his black brick…
“Classmate An Lin, why are your attack getting weaker? I want a battle where I am forced to the limit!” Xuanyuan Cheng managed to launch more and more attacks against An Lin as countless sword projections engulfed An Lin’s body, pulverizing the earth around him with their ferocious might.
In the face of Xuanyuan Cheng’s unreasonable request, An Lin finally gritted his teeth and made up his mind after a period of intense internal conflict. “Big Brother Cheng, I’m going to increase the intensity of my attacks. Take care!”
“Come at me!” Xuanyuan Cheng felt like he was in really good form, and even his control over his domain seemed to have improved.
However, right at this moment, a scorching arrow of flames streaked through the air before breaking through Xuanyuan Cheng’s domain en route to his chest!
Xuanyuan Cheng reacted extremely quickly as his sword rippled like water to redirect the arrow.
However, to his surprise, upon contact with the arrow, the flames instantly engulfed his longsword, and the flames continued to spread before setting Xuanyuan Cheng’s entire body alight… Vicious destructive power assaulted Xuanyuan Cheng’s body, and it seemed to have struck a certain sensitive nerve as his whole body began to tremble.
Just as all the students were spectating the intense battle with anxious expressions, three mosquitoes were also flying toward the battle.
“Wow… the Holy Leader’s clothes are in tatters. His figure is so good!” Mosquito Ke exclaimed.
“Not so loud, Cassidy, we’re trying to give the Holy Leader a surprise!” Mosquito Mai cautioned.
Mosquito Ta was a little hesitant. “Aren’t we going to scare the Holy Leader if we suddenly appear like this? I feel like we should make a more normal entrance. This doesn’t feel right somehow.”
“Don’t worry, we can embrace the Holy Leader like this and plant a ‘kiss’ onto his body!” Mosquito Ke spoke with scorching desire in her voice.
“Genius! So that’s what you were plotting, Cassidy! I was wondering why you suggested for us to adopt our mosquito forms. Hehehe…” Mosquito Mai buzzed with approval.
Mosquito Ta thought for a moment before choosing to remain silent. He too was unable to resist the temptation of the holy blood.
Thus, the three mosquitoes slowly approached An Lin while encroaching on his battle in the process.
“Ah… An Lin, I can’t hold on anymore!”
A yell suddenly erupted, which was imbued with the emotion of release, thus giving the three mosquitoes quite a fright.
Immediately afterward, boundless flames engulfed the three mosquitoes.
Boom!
An earth-shattering boom erupted as the ground below tremored and quaked.
The devastating explosion pulverized the ground within a radius of over a kilometer as the earth churned and a flaming mushroom cloud soared into the air…

Blue Hills
Nothing had ever felt quite right for Alexander Adamson. He'd worked his way up to a job he could tolerate, a few casual friends, and even a nice little apartment that he could call his own, though it really wasn't. The problem was that none of it was satisfying. It was as though he were going through the motions of a life, rather than having one of his own. Of course, it didn't exactly feel right when he woke up in a strange bed in the middle of nowhere. Nor when he was told that he was now the proud owner and operator of a local farm. A farm that had belonged to a late uncle he'd never known. But with the first train out of town a full 'season' away, he had plenty of time to get used to the idea. Plenty of time, perhaps, to even get to like the strange little town of Blue Hills. I have a discord now. Marvel at my ability to somehow still be antisocial on the other side of a screen! Back from hiatus along with my other fiction. Chapters are on a Thurs/Sun schedule until book 3 of that fiction is completed, at which point I'll be updating this daily. At which point uh.... I dunno what I'm going to do.
