Chapter 921: The Beautiful Sun Tree
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
An Lin left the Heavenly Knowledge House with Xue Zhantian in his arms.
They were now going to the central region of the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation, the Sun Tree!
The Sun Tree of the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation was the equivalent of the Heavenly Court to the Kingdom of the Nine States. It was the place in this nation that transcended above all else.
The Sun Tree was slightly inferior to the Heavenly Court in terms of overall strength, but it allegedly had three mythological beasts within its ranks, one of which was the Eternal Sun God mentioned as the brother of the guardian of the Sun Tree.
The All-Knowing Crow had told him that the Eternal Sun God had something to do and had left the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation, so he posed no threat to An Lin’s plan. If the Eternal Sun God were around, then the difficulty of his executing his plan would increase exponentially.
If the Eternal Sun God had a little sister complex, then An Lin wouldn’t even have to go back to the Heavenly Court…
In any case, thank God it wasn’t here.
The second mythological beast was the legendary Kun Peng. It was said that Kun Peng really enjoyed traveling to other places, so it probably wasn’t in the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation either.
The third mythological beast was the Nine-Colored Divine Vermilion Bird. This was the most tree bound one among the three mythological beasts, and apparently, it very rarely left the Sun Tree. Many of the living beings within the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation regarded it as the second guardian of the Sun Tree.
An Lin thought to himself for a moment and decided that the Nine-Colored Divine Vermilion Bird was most likely the most dangerous factor to his mission.
However… He was just going to kiss the guardian of the Sun Tree…
The mythological beast shouldn’t mind that, right?
He thought about what was going to happen next as he flew atop his brick.
How to approach the guardian of the Sun Tree was a problem. How to kiss a bird was also a problem. Not only did he have to overcome a practical barrier, but he also had to overcome a psychological barrier too…

This was like asking you to kiss a chicken. Would you be able to do it?
Even if he could, was he going to force a kiss upon it or slowly nurture a relationship before kissing it?
If he was to nurture a relationship, was a month enough?
If he was going to force a kiss upon it, what did he have to do to avoid being killed by the chicken?
Or perhaps… he should use another method?
An Lin looked up into the sky and heaved a long sigh.
He suddenly felt like this mission was so difficult!
This was definitely an infernal level difficulty!
“Don’t think too much about it, Master. Everything will fall into place given time. Just let it be and go with the flow. Perhaps something will surprise you!” Xue Zhantian offered thoughtful words of consolation at the sight of An Lin’s concerned expression.
An Lin rubbed Xue Zhantian’s fur with a smile and a nod. “Who would have thought that even Little Tian would become so warm and thoughtful? This is great!”
An adorable, obedient smile appeared on Xue Zhantian’s face.
He knew what An Lin was going to do.
An Lin had discussed with him how to kiss the guardian of the Sun Tree.
As such, it had prepared a photographic crystal to record this historic moment.
That’s right! This was the key as this was going to be his trump card against his master!
After taking that recording, Master wouldn’t dare to smack his bum anymore!!!
If An Lin hit him again, he would hand the photographic crystal over to Xu Xiaolan, hehehe…
The biggest flaw to the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation was that it had no large teleportation spell formations.
Perhaps this was because all of the living beings here had wings and could fly to wherever they wanted, so there was no need to waste resources on constructing teleportation spell formations.
All bird tribes were extremely proud of their wings and did not care for things like teleportation spell formations.
This was, however, quite a bother to visitors of other races. If this was someone below the Spirit Nurturing Stage and had no flying abilities, they wouldn’t even have the courage to come to the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation…

There were desolate mountains, an overabundance of ferocious beasts, and many other obstacles. If they were to walk to the Sun Tree, it would be a trip to hell and back.
However, it was much easier for An Lin as he had Brick Kinesis Flight. A distance of several dozen kilometers really wasn’t much.
Two days later, they passed through the endless forest and arrived at a boundless grassland.
The grassland here stretched for as far as the eyes could see, extending all the way into the horizon line in the distance. The field of vision here was extremely broad, and the whole place was teeming with life energy.
In a certain direction of the grassland, there was an extremely huge tree.
“I can finally see you, Sun Tree!” A smile appeared on An Lin’s face.
“So big! So tall! So thick!” Xue Zhantian’s eyes widened, and he forgot to even use idioms in his shock.
The circumference of the Sun Tree’s trunk was huge, probably around a few kilometers, and it extended straight into the sky, as if it were the bridge connecting heaven and earth.
The canopy was split into several levels, with each level comprising a floating continent. The canopy at the bottom was the biggest with a radius of around fifty kilometers. From there, the area of the canopies became smaller as one went up, as if this was a conical tree.
“Apparently the Sun Tree is split into nine levels of continents. Normal beings like us can only access the first six levels. We won’t be able to reach the top three levels unless we have some sort of special identity.” An Lin looked up at the Sun Tree with a scorching light in his eyes.
Xue Zhantian was quite excited. “Master, we have to see the entirety of this Sun Tree! It’s simply too beautiful!”
That’s right, the Sun Tree was indeed very beautiful.
The tree trunk was pretty ordinary, but the tree leaves were marvelously beautiful.
The leaves on each of its levels were different in colors, making it appear as if it were a separate rainbow biosphere that was diverse and beautiful.
The leaves on the lowest level were lime green, giving off a sense of teeming vitality.
The second layer of leaves was light orange, glowing with a sheen similar to that of a beautiful jade.
The third layer of leaves was golden, shining with a regal, dazzling light that would blind someone if they stared at them for too long.
The fourth layer of leaves was crimson red, like a roaring sea of flames.
The fifth layer of leaves was a deep blue, like the surging ocean.
The sixth layer of leaves was a dark purple, like the ethereal purple light that could sometimes be witnessed in the night sky.
The top three levels were obscured from view by white cloud and mist.
A strong wind blew past, and all of the different colored leaves rippled and surged in a scene of magnificent beauty.
An Lin and Xue Zhantian flew closer and closer to the Sun Tree.
The Sun Tree held an extremely holy position in the Southern Heavenly Wing Nation. It represented hope and life and could not be encroached upon by anyone.
“Flying is restricted in this area, so let’s continue on foot.” An Lin looked down at the huge white line carved into the ground before slowly descending.
There was a flying restricted area around the Sun Tree. Apparently, about two thousand years ago, two immortal beasts had stumbled into this restricted area during their battle, and they continued to battle, oblivious to this fact. The Sun Tree then projected energy toward them, and they were blasted into oblivion before even having a chance to run.
Apparently, within this restricted area, only the Sun Tree itself had the right to be the closest to the sun. If one entered this restricted area and still screwed around in the air, then be prepared to receive heavenly judgment!
An Lin and Xue Zhantian landed on the ground and began running.
Soon, they arrived at the base of the impossibly large trunk.
There were many birds here that had retracted their wings and were waddling around like clumsy ducks. They made their way onto the energy-propelled board, which carried them toward the canopy continents.
An Lin and Xue Zhantian also stepped onto a board to progress to the first level of the Sun Tree!
