I Might Be A Fake Cultivator Chapter 956

Chapter 956: Earth’s Spiritual Energy Renaissance?
Inside the tea pavilion, An Lin gave An Mingchuan a rough recount of his experiences in the past two years.
Tian Lingling also listened off to the side. She was very interested in the Tai Chu Continent and dreamed of going there someday to cultivate.
An Lin’s stories were simply extraordinary, and both An Mingchuan and Tian Lingling were completely absorbed.
Four hours later, the story was complete.
An Mingchuan took a sip of the Flying Fox Immortal Tea that An Lin brought back and sighed with emotion. “Cultivating on Earth is only the tip of a massive iceberg. The Tai Chu Continent is the true iceberg lurking below the water.”
Tian Lingling grabbed onto An Lin’s hand excitedly. “Fake Daoist Priest, I really want to go to the Kingdom of the Nine States, is there some way you can get me there?”
An Lin replied with a smile, “In the past, I wouldn’t have been able to, but the current me has the confidence to get both of you to the Kingdom of the Nine States to cultivate.”
In the past, he was just a cultivator with no money or power.
But now, he was the sect leader of the Four Nine Immortal Sect, which was comparable to one of the Nine Imperials. Hence, he had the leverage with which he could use to negotiate terms with the Heavenly Court.
“That’s great! You’re awesome, Fake Daoist Priest!” Tian Lingling whooped with excitement.
She then wrapped her slender arms around An Lin’s arm again like an obedient little sister. “Then, Great Sect Leader, can I join your Four Nine Immortal Sect?”
An Lin chuckled in response. “Of course you can. However, I’m not going to open the backdoor for you. My Four Nine Immortal Sect is one of the top sects of the Kingdom of the Nine States, so I have to set an example and do things according to the rules. If you want to join the sect, you’ll have to pass through a series of trials!”
Tian Lingling pouted, but she silently nodded without any objection.

“Haha, Little Lin, I’ll also join your sect. It sounds really impressive.” An Mingchuan’s expression was etched with pride and gratification.
An Lin nodded elatedly. “Sure! Dad, you’re exempted from the trials, and I can make you into an elder straight away!”
Tian Lingling’s eyes widened and her mouth gaped open in shock as she turned to An Lin.
Who was it that just said they were going to lead by example and not open any backdoors?
How could he go back on his word so quickly?!
“My Little Lin has grown up!” An Mingchuan happily accepted the backdoor his son was opening for him.
Alright, so taking advantage of a good son wasn’t anything to be proud of.
Then why didn’t you give birth to such a bad*ss son as well!?
Giving birth to a good son was a matter of skill!
An Mingchuan felt like he was very bad*ss for having An Lin as a son…
Tian Lingling looked at the father and son duo, who were wearing identical sinister smiles, and she was completely speechless.
Like father like son, they really were related by blood after all!
An Lin hadn’t seen An Mingchuan for a long time, and he immediately pulled out two immortal fruits for An Mingchuan.
These were the sixth-grade immortal fruits, Dark Ice Fruits, which could drastically increase the consumer’s ice-type power, as well as giving them a probability of attaining enlightenment in the true intent of ice.
Tian Lingling’s eyes were about to bulge out of her head at the sight of the two immortal fruits.
Immortal fruits were legendary treasures on Earth, but An Lin had just casually whipped out two of them to give to An Mingchuan. This was simply unimaginable to her!
An Lin then gave Tian Lingling two spirit fruits as well, and she screeched with excitement like a forty-kilogram toddler.
“Fake Daoist Priest, I love you!”
Tian Lingling lunged at An Lin in another joyful loli tackle.
An Lin slapped her aside expressionlessly.
He was not into lolis!
Tian Lingling had helped An Lin’s dad out a lot during the days in which he was not on Earth, so he was obviously not going to leave her out of the presents.

“Next, I’m going to investigate why the Dark Wing Tribe was able to come to Earth.
“Oh, right, what do you guys think about global warming as well as the increased of vital energy all over the world.”
An Lin thought about it and decided to ask the cultivators living on Earth about the situation.
An Mingchuan replied, “Isn’t global warming due to excessive greenhouse gases?”
Tian Lingling replied, “Isn’t the increased of vital energy due to the spiritual energy renaissance?”
An Lin: “…”
Alright, he felt like he shouldn’t have asked.
“What the hell is a spiritual energy renaissance?” he asked.
Tian Lingling heaved a light sigh. “This is a term coined by the mortals on Earth. As the vital energy grows more abundantly, some people who were previously unable to cultivate are now able to do so. As such, they’ve begun to claim that this world is progressing to a new cultivation era, the era of spiritual energy renaissance!”
An Lin massaged his brows. “These mortals sure know how to invent stupid terms!”
Tina interjected here, “Giant An Lin, I have some speculation.”
“What is it?” An Lin asked curiously.
“Global warming is a sign that energy is increasing in this world. An increased abundance of spiritual energy suggests that Earth is building up to something. You’ve said before that the most powerful cultivators on this Earth are cultivators at the Soul Formation Pinnacle Stage.
“The level of the world’s native inhabitants tie in directly to the level of the world itself. Hence, I’m thinking, would the world be able to level up if a living being progress to the Return to Void Stage here?” Tina analyzed.
An Lin’s eyes lit up. “You’re saying that all of these phenomena can be seen as a precursor to the world progressing to a higher level?”
Tina nodded with a smile. “I think it’s a possibility.”
“Wait.” Tian Lingling raised a hand with a perplexed expression on her face. “What is this leveling up of the world you’re talking about? Why am I unable to understand anything you’re saying? Do you have any evidence?”
An Mingchuan also turned his eyes toward An Lin.
Tina explained, “The evidence is that these are the exact same signs my world exhibited prior to leveling up.”
An Lin nodded. “Tina is the God of Creation of the Divine Mirror World, so she’s an expert in this field.”
“God… God of Creation?” Tian Lingling was dumbstruck.
“Little Lin, your beast pet is a God of Creation?” An Mingchuan was also in complete shock and incredulity. “What have you been up to these past two years? You’ve taken a God of Creation as a beast pet? That’s way too scary!”
He didn’t really know about the true concept of what a God of Creation was or what a God of Creation was capable of, but this was the creator of a world! A God of Creation had to be some mighty figure outside of his realm of imagination.
Tina covered her face with an adorable hint of embarrassment. “It wasn’t much. And it was all thanks to Giant An Lin that I was able to encounter this opportunity. Before I grow up, all of my stuff is Giant An Lin’s stuff, and he’s safekeeping it for me.”
Tian Lingling: “…”
An Mingchuan: “…”
The two of them looked at An Lin with mysterious expressions.
You monster! Just what have you done to this adorable little fairy?!
An Lin was all smiles as he caressed Tina’s flowing golden hair. “You’re such a good girl, Little Na!”
Tina’s speculation was actually quite possible.
If this really was phenomena triggered by the leveling of the world, then the next question would be, were there going to be any other incidents that would occur prior to that?
He thought for a moment before pulling out his phone and bringing up WeChat.
There was strength in numbers, and he had another weapon that he could use.

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!
