Chapter 1440: How to Kill a Representative of the Heavenly Dao
The Heavenly Time God’s aura became more and more diminished.
It was quite clear that the Celestial Thearch’s seal was working to great effect.
All of the snow maidens turned their eyes upon the Celestial Thearch.
Never would they have thought that the Celestial Thearch would prove to be such a decisive force after just unleashing a single strike!
The Heavenly Time God was still struggling, but her struggles were completely ineffective.
An expression of shock appeared on the Great Empress’ face. “I knew he could borrow on the power of the heavens, but I didn’t think he would be able to unleash such a terrifying power as a result. This power can probably reduce any Dao Integration Stage super mighty figure into oblivion!”
Meng Zhi was also in shock and awe. “The leader of the Heavenly Court really is not someone we can contend with.”
Not only was the Heavenly Time God’s aura quickly becoming weaker, but even her body was also quickly shrinking.
The moment she was minimized into nothingness would be the moment she became truly destroyed, and her power would then return to the Heavenly Dao.
An Lin suddenly wanted to go and land a killing blow. Wouldn’t it be awesome if he could transfer the Heavenly Time Power to himself? Not taking into account other matters, that time-reversal technique would be a miraculous technique that would make him virtually unkillable!
However, he still repressed this urge.
He had to think about the big picture. If his intervention somehow messed up the Celestial Thearch’s seal, then all of their efforts would have gone to waste.
Just as An Lin was being led astray by his train of thought, the Celestial Thearch’s expression shifted drastically.
“Crap, the heavenly time power can’t be returned to the Heavenly Dao!” the Celestial Thearch exclaimed.
An Lin was perplexed. “Why not?”
“Her sense of self is too powerful, I can’t get rid of it,” the Celestial Thearch spoke in a solemn voice.
An Lin immediately understood upon hearing this. He had always felt like this Heavenly Time God had a lot of emotional depth and liked to talk a lot. It appeared that she was a representative of the Heavenly Dao with a strong personality and a strong sense of self…

“What do we do then?” An Lin asked.
The Great Empress, Meng Zhi, and the other snow maidens also turned to the Celestial Thearch with anxious expressions.
The Celestial Thearch heaved an exhausted sigh. “I don’t know…”
An Lin: “…”
The Great Empress: “…”
Was he saying they would just have to wait and die?
“I can’t kill her, and she can’t escape from my seal for the time being. We are now in an impasse. However, if we don’t find a way to kill her, she’ll regain freedom after my power runs out!” the Celestial Thearch said with an expression of despair.
An Lin was utterly exhausted. He had given up the chance to run away and decided to battle with the Celestial Thearch, yet this was the result?
Hold on…
He suddenly thought of something.
Couldn’t he take this opportunity to run away while the Celestial Thearch was locked in an impasse with the Heavenly Time God?
An Lin was getting a little tempted.
The Celestial Thearch mistook the expression on An Lin’s face for one of excitement, and his eyes immediately lit up with delight. “Mr. An Lin, have you thought of something? If so, then just do it! There’s no need to consider the repercussions!”
“I want to run away,” An Lin replied honestly.
The Celestial Thearch: “…”
The Great Empress: “…”
The atmosphere suddenly became quite awkward.
Both of them were fighting with their lives on the line, while he was thinking about selling them out?
The Celestial Thearch felt like throwing up a mouthful of blood.
Should he praise An Lin for his honesty or scold him for his cowardice…
An Lin thought about it for a moment and decided that even though his life was important, it really wasn’t appropriate to just sell the Celestial Thearch out.
But what could he do?
An Lin stepped forward, and he flashed toward the Heavenly Time God.
The Heavenly Time God had no head, but her body was still struggling frantically.
If it weren’t for the fact that the Celestial Thearch was sealing her, she could just reverse time again and continue jumping around and flexing to everyone.

An Lin plunged his sword into the Heavenly Time God’s heart. “That’s what you get for flexing!”
The inky-black sword blade plunged into the Heavenly Time God’s body, and she shuddered violently, as if she was in a lot of pain.
However, An Lin could sense that these were only surface wounds, and his attack had inflicted no internal damage upon her.
Could it be that he had penetrated her in the wrong position?
An Lin pulled out his Evil-Slaying Sword before penetrating the golden snow maiden in another location.
Splat!
The golden snow maiden shuddered again, as if she was in a lot of pain.
An Lin was having a lot of fun and continued to penetrate her over and over again.
He instantly inflicted over a hundred swords wounds upon the golden snow maiden!
“Mr. An Lin, hurry up! I can’t last much longer…” The Celestial Thearch gritted his teeth as his face became increasingly pale.
An Lin’s expression darkened. “How is this slow? The important thing is, it’s not doing anything!”
He stabbed the golden snow maiden over a hundred more times as he spoke.
The Evil-Slaying Sword had a special, restrictive property when used against representatives of the Heavenly Dao, so each and every one of his strikes had landed upon the Heavenly Time God’s body, but he was unable to kill her no matter how hard he tried!
“Little Xie, what do I do?” An Lin asked for help from his sword spirit.
A cold and tender voice sounded, “You can’t kill her because your cultivation base is too low, and you’re unable to summon up enough of my power.”
An Lin: “…”
So it was his fault for being too weak?
An Lin was feeling quite crushed. How was this his fault?
“How about I let the Celestial Thearch or the Great Empress use you instead?” An Lin asked.
“They don’t even have the right to use my power,” Little Xie replied in a disdainful voice.
An Lin faltered for a moment before coming up with another suggestion. “How about you stab her yourself then?”
“I can’t activate my own power with no one to wield me. This is all because you’re too weak,” Little Xie said in a cold voice.
An Lin felt like he had been stabbed in the heart, and he inflicted another hundred or so sword wounds upon the golden snow maiden’s body.
The golden snow maiden’s flawless body had been reduced to a wasp’s nest, and it was trembling more and more violently. It was as if it was unable to maintain stability, and it began to crumble.
Not only that, but even her golden divine halo was cracking open.
Bam!
The Heavenly Time God’s body exploded into specks of light.
Everyone faltered upon seeing this.
“Is it over?” the Great Empress murmured.
The Celestial Thearch’s expression lit up with delight. “An Lin, I can’t detect her presence anymore! We’ve won!”
Did we win?
An Lin was a little surprised as he looked at the empty space in front of him before looking down at his Evil-Slaying Sword with a smile. “Could it be that sufficient accumulated damage could kill her?”
Little Xie didn’t say anything. It was as if she was thinking about something.
The Celestial Thearch heaved a sigh of relief. Even though he was extremely exhausted, he was also quite elated.
It was a good thing that they were able to get rid of such a powerful threat to the human race.
Splat!
Blood suddenly splattered through the air.
The Celestial Thearch’s smile froze on his face.
A shiny, golden blade was protruding from his chest.
There were no other living beings between heaven and earth, just a blade that had spontaneously appeared in his chest.
“Wheel of time,” an ethereal voice sounded from the sky.
The particles of light converged as the divine halo was reconstructed.
A golden snow maiden appeared between heaven and earth again.
The Heavenly Time God had resurrected herself again!
The snow maidens were in despair.
An Lin also drew a sharp intake of breath.
Crack…
A crisp crack sounded.
Cracks suddenly began to appear on the Heavenly Time God’s reconstructed divine halo…
