Chapter 1467: Official Identity Verification
All of the beast tribe and Heavenly Human Tribe powerful beings on the ground below were gripped by horror and despair at the sight of the Heavenly Human Tribe Great General being insta-killed by the Divine Phoenix Maiden.
“How could this be? How could a Heavenly Human Tribe Heaven Pioneer Stage powerful being die so easily?” A man with a lion’s head was in complete shock as his brawny body trembled uncontrollably. “How could the mighty Great General Tian Lian be slain by a single sword strike?”
“What are we still standing here for? Run!” A cowardly, trembling mouse man reverted back to his mouse form before scurrying away.
A wry smile appeared on a snake man’s face as he looked at the sea of Divine Flames around them. “Run? Where can we run to?”
“F*ck it! Let’s go f*ck her up! Even if we die, we have to take a piece of her with us to the grave!”
A lightning tiger roared before transforming into a bolt of lightning to pounce toward the Divine Phoenix Maiden!
All of the other beast tribe powerful beings knew that there was no hope of escape, and they too chose to fight.
The Heavenly Human Tribe powerful beings were also summoning white pillars of light to attack the phoenix in the sky.
“Hmph!” The Divine Phoenix Maiden stood atop her phoenix and waved a hand through the air. “The rain of the phoenix will cleanse all things.”
The phoenix in the sky ruffled its own feathers, as if it were trying to shake off droplets of water. Boundless Divine Flames then fell like a meteor shower, incinerating the beast tribe powerful beings and tearing through the pillars of energy summoned by the Heavenly Human Tribe powerful beings before melting their bodies…
After a short burst of anguished wails, no more enemies remained in the Falling Dragon Abyss.
All of this was because the phoenix had quivered slightly.
“Holy f*ck! That phoenix is bad*ss!” An Lin’s heart was filled with admiration and envy.

This was like a dream steed for all cultivators.
What had Xiaolan been through during the days that he was away…
He was now sure that he had been away for more than a hundred days.
If there were only one person who made a drastic transformation, it would perhaps still be plausible, but there was no way in hell that everyone could become so powerful in a hundred days!
“There’s a very big problem here!” Shangguan Yi murmured.
She knew who Xu Xiaolan was. Xu Xiaolan was only an adorable little Spirit Nurturing Stage cultivator a few years ago, but she was suddenly a Dao Integration Stage super mighty figure now. This world didn’t make any sense…
“It’s not a problem with this world. It’s a problem with us!” The Celestial Thearch’s brows were furrowed in deep thought.
“I’ve already analyzed the world around us, and I can confirm that it is indeed the world we came from. However, time seems to have passed by very quickly, and it appears that far more than a hundred days have passed here,” Chen Chen offered his insight.
An Lin was already dying to jump out and ask everyone what was going on.
However, he didn’t want to reveal himself too soon in case he somehow disrupted this world, so he repressed the urge to do so.
The Divine Flames within the Falling Dragon Abyss began to dissipate.
Everything had been burned to a crisp.
Close to a hundred thousand powerful beings had perished here. This could already be considered to be quite a significant event on the Tai Chu Continent.
“Are you alright?” The Divine Phoenix Maiden leaped down from her phoenix and arrived before True Nuclear Celestial Immortal, who had sustained the most severe injuries.
“I’m fine.” True Nuclear Celestial Immortal smiled before swallowing a spirit pill.
“Xiaolan, you were way too slow in coming here! We almost sh*t ourselves when we saw Tian Lian!” Setting Moon Celestial Immortal flew over on her Moonlight Disc before winding her arms around Xu Xiaolan’s arm with a faint smile on her face.

“I encountered some unexpected difficulties.” The Divine Phoenix Maiden was a little apologetic. “It turns out that Great General Qiu Chen wasn’t the only one keeping an eye on me. There were also two other Great Generals with him, and it took me some time to take care of all of them. I ended up killing one of them and the other two fled before I could come here.”
The other celestial immortals breathed in sharply.
Xiaolan had just destroyed three Heavenly Human Tribe Great Generals?
How was she so bad*ss?!
“Master’s wife is the best!” Missing An Celestial Immortal made her way over to the Divine Phoenix Maiden with a pure and innocent smile. “We’ve successfully completed our mission, so let’s go back now!”
She was like a sweet little girl holding onto the Divine Phoenix Maiden with a hint of attachment, in complete contrast to the cold assassin she was during the battle earlier.
The Divine Phoenix Maiden poked Missing An Celestial Immortal’s nose with a smile. “Little Ling, you go back with Xuanyuan Cheng and Su Qianyun first. I still have to go and do something.”
An Lin’s heart jolted again upon hearing this.
Official confirmation had arrived! The Divine Phoenix Maiden was Xu Xiaolan, True Nuclear Celestial Immortal was Xuanyuan Cheng, and Setting Moon Celestial Immortal was Su Qianyun!
As for Missing An Celestial Immortal… Xiaolan called her Little Ling.
Could it be… that she was Ye Ling?!
An Lin almost threw up a mouthful of blood as this notion sprang to his mind. Ye Ling was an obedient and adorable little girl who followed him around all the time. But in just a hundred days, she had become a lethal assassin able to kill Return to Void Stage mighty figure as if she were slicing cabbage?!
There was most definitely something wrong! Holy sh*t! His fourth-stage Dao Body disciple had progressed to the pinnacle of the Return to Void Initial Stage in a hundred days… What a f*cking joke!
An Lin had received a heavy blow. He had thought that he would be able to instruct this little girl like a true master as opposed to his other two disciples, who were too powerful for him to instruct.
However, even this little girl had outstripped him in terms of cultivation base!
Xiao Tu, Xiao Ze, and Ye Ling had all outstripped his cultivation base.
He felt like he was a fake master…
“What are you going to do? Master’s wife, you don’t mean…” Ye Ling suddenly began to panic a little, and she gripped tightly onto Xu Xiaolan’s sleeve.
“It’s alright, I’m just going to make a quick trip to the Opposite Shore Realm, and I’ll be back before you know it.” Xu Xiaolan gave her a comforting smile.
“No!” Xuanyuan Cheng spoke with a stern and grave expression, “Things are completely different now. There are so many terrifying powerful beings out there trying to hunt you down. You could very easily die from taking risks like this!”
“I’ve already made my decision. Don’t worry, with my cultivation base, there aren’t that many people across the entire Tai Chu Continent that can stop me if I want to escape. I’ll just keep a low profile and make a visit then come back,” Xu Xiaolan insisted.
“Xiaolan…” Su Qianyun was still quite concerned.
“Sigh… What’s the point?” Xuanyuan Cheng shook his head.
“There’s definitely a point to what I’m doing.” Xu Xiaolan turned toward the northeastern direction as a gentle smile lit up her exquisitely beautiful features. “What if he comes back and there’s no one there to welcome him? What if he comes back and becomes unsettled by this unfamiliar world? What if he comes back and has already forgotten the way home…
“After all, it has already been a hundred years…
“I want him to come back to the person he loves, and I want to take him home.”

Hazelsong: A LitRPG Novel
Release Schedule: I will be moving to a set release schedule as of 1/1/2022. A new chapter will be released every Saturday at Noon EST. If I have time that week for a second chapter, I will leave a note on the Saturday chapter and post the second chapter on Sunday at Noon EST. An up to date character sheet for the MC Erik will also be posted on Sundays at 12:15 PM. If life happens and I am for some reason unable to write that week, I will post a blank chapter giving you an update on where I am with my writing. Saturday Noon EST: First weekly chapter Sunday Noon EST: Second weekly chapter (if I have the time) Sunday 12:15 EST: Updated character sheet Synopsis: Years after surviving a deadly accident, Erik struggles to come to terms with his painful disability. When offered the chance to playtest the world's first full immersion VRMMO, he wants nothing more than to retreat back into his secluded life, until he learns what Hazelsong really offers. An escape from the pain. Hazelsong is a world of magic and adventure, a place where friendships are formed, loot is won, and glory and fame are there for the taking. While the threats feel real and the stakes are always high, there is only one thing Erik is really in danger of. Forgetting which world is actually real. Story Themes: Hazelsong is a LitRPG novel that not only explores the fictional world of a realistic online fantasy realm but the life of a man suffering in silence from chronic pain and PTSD due to a significant physical injury and disability. Mental health is an important subject and we all know at least one person in our lives who has or is dealing with some form of mental illness. I plan on putting my best effort forward to represent these illnesses in a fair and accurate manner. Not as a cheap plot device to help make the protagonist more unique, but to help paint an accurate picture for those of us who have been lucky enough to not have to suffer in silence. About the Author: I am Ash Durra, general video game nerd and a connoisseur of fantasy and sci-fi of all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, I am not a professional author (B.S. and M.S. in Education, 8 years teaching). After really getting into LitRPG novels over the past several years, I found my way to Royal Road, which has inspired me to use my spare time to begin writing a story of my own creation. As this is a hobby, I am not writing and posting chapters on any kind of specific schedule at the moment, though my goal is to post on average 1-2 chapters a week. I am incredibly excited to share this story with others as I write it, and I look forward to any constructive feedback about how I can improve in my writing.
