Chapter 1551: Demise of the Great Generals
This was a special feeling for Ye Ling.
Her master held a very important position in her heart.
Being able to defeat powerful enemies and prove to her master that she was useful was much more satisfying to her than defeating enemies and flexing about it.
Ye Ling, Xuanyuan Cheng, and Su Qianyun were already completely exhausted after defeating that Heaven Pioneer Stage Great General, but they still looked around to see if there were any comrades that required their help.
Meanwhile, the Fist Sage was in his usual outfit of a yellow jumpsuit, white cape, and red gloves as he unleashed a devastating punch.
“Hi-yah!” he roared as he blasted Great General Mi Ya away with a single fist.
His fist had compressed the air before him to an extreme extent, and a dazzling white light erupted forth, as if energy was being released from the chain reaction of explosions in the air.
Mi Ya harrumphed coldly before launching a fist of her own.
An earth-shattering boom could be heard as shockwaves erupted forth before pulverizing the earth within a radius of over a hundred kilometers.
The Fist Sage was knocked back several kilometers before throwing up a mouthful of blood, but he was still surging with battle intent as an expression of admiration appeared on his face. “To think that you can even take my serious punch. As expected of a Heaven Pioneer Stage powerful being, your strength is on par with mine!”
Mi Ya’s face darkened upon hearing this. “On par? Can you tell those two Blood Tribe mighty figures to f*ck off before you say that?”
Cassidy’s sword intent surged into the heavens.
Merlin was surrounded by eerie ghostly energy as his arms exuded terrifying power.
The two Holy Blood Cult worshippers had finally taken care of their opponents and come to help the Fist Sage.
The Fist Sage laughed heartily. “I want a fair and square fight between you and me as well, but they insist on helping me, so I can’t really do anything, can I?”

Mi Ya’s chest fluttered with rage, but she couldn’t do anything about it.
At this moment, Cassidy, Merlin, and the Fist Sage charged toward Mi Ya at the same time.
Even to a Heaven Pioneer Stage Great General, three mighty figures at the Return to Void Pinnacle Stage were extremely troublesome, and she was starting to fall onto the back foot.
Soon, Mi Ya was ground down by the three mighty figures and perished from her wounds.
Great General Zuo Yi was in the best situation among everyone as he only had to face off against one Return to Void Final Stage mighty figure. He was also the Great General with the lightest injuries. There were only a few gashes that reached his bones.
The only problem here was that he couldn’t move recklessly as the particle beams would cut mercilessly into his body if he wasn’t careful.
Zuo Yi stood within the white, cuboid space with an expression of despair on his face. His clothes had disappeared, and there was only a cloud of white mist that obscured his sensitive regions. Furthermore, he was forced to stand in that particular pose as he was surrounded by countless particle beams.
One gash after another appeared on his body, but they were all quite shallow and did not inflict any substantial damage on his body.
Those had all been inflicted upon his body by those aforementioned particle beams.
He could try and break out from Bai Ling’s white cuboid space if he was confident in his ability to live on even after being sliced into countless pieces.
“Ar-are you done yet?” Zuo Yi was on the brink of tears.
Bai Ling wore a pair of semi-transparent particle spectacles with a faint smile on her face and divine dao light emanated from her hands, enshrouding the blood, bone, and other tissue samples she had extracted from Zuo Yi’s body. “Hold on just a little longer.”
“Is it something to do with the environment? The level of activity in your cells is even higher than the other Heavenly Human Tribe subjects I’ve conducted research on in the past. You’re a fine specimen.” Bai Ling nodded with a satisfied smile.

Sweat was pouring down Zuo Yi’s face.
That’s right, this Heavenly Human Tribe Great General had been reduced to Bai Ling’s research subject.
If it weren’t for the fact that he had absolute confidence in the Heavenly Gods and believed that the two Heavenly Gods would come and save him, he would have put himself out of his misery a long time ago rather than suffering through this humiliation!
Bai Ling was using the hope in Zuo Yi’s heart to her advantage to conduct all sorts of experiments on him. Live subjects were much better than dead subjects, so she cherished this opportunity a lot.
The two of them each had their own thoughts and agendas, and they were cooperating with one another quite harmoniously…
Great General Zuo Yi felt like he was in a decent situation. Aside from the few small incisions on his body and the slight emotional trauma he had to endure, he was basically fine.
The comrade facing that little red flower in comparison had suffered a significantly worse fate. In the end, he was bashed to death by over a hundred bald, musclebound monks with friendly smiles on their faces. All of the Great Generals who witnessed his horrific death had chills running down their spines.
This was a terrifying memory that they would take to their graves.
Among the nine high and mighty Heaven Pioneer Stage Great Generals, General Zuo Yi was the only one left alive…
When everyone else saw that the final Great General was being taken care of by Big Sister Bai, they all left her to her work without a second thought.
This was a type of absolute trust, which did not require verbal communication.
Everyone turned toward the battlefield in the distance.
This was the Heavenly God level battlefield, and they were struck by a sense of fear even as they looked on from afar. All of the attacks being exchanged were imbued with the might to destroy heaven and earth, and they felt like they could die at any moment if they were to get any closer to that battlefield.
“Yes! The Celestial Thearch, Black Spirit Snake, and White Spirit Snake have broken the curse of karma, and that Heavenly God is firmly on the back foot now.”
“He deserved everything he got for pulling such an underhanded tactic, haha…”
“That Heavenly God already has eight divine halos, but why do I feel like Heavenly Goddess Lin Yu is more powerful even though she only has seven?”
“Perhaps it’s because of the different ways they’re using their divine halos. I feel like Heavenly Goddess Lin Yu is fighting like a rabid dog…”
Almost everyone had their attention focused on An Lin’s battle with concern in their eyes.
An Lin and the phoenix had combined forces to combat Heavenly Goddess Lin Yu, but they were still firmly on the back foot. Even though he had unleashed his heavenly wind power, he was still constantly in extreme danger, and he didn’t even have any chances to retaliate.
An Lin was also very flustered, but he was also very determined to stick to his plan to grind down Heavenly Goddess Lin Yu.
Heavenly Goddess Lin Yu seemed to have figured out what An Lin was up to, and she began to chuckle from her extreme rage. “You want to play this game? What makes you think you have the power to outlast me?”
She aimed another vicious punch at An Lin as she spoke.
As usual, An Lin unleashed his ball of wind to buffer the power of her fist before being swept away into the distance again.
Rumble…
A massive, abyssal fissure instantly appeared behind him from the devastating force behind Lin Yu’s fist.
This was the hundredth time Lin Yu’s attack had fallen upon thin air…
Anyone would be getting frustrated by this turn of events, let alone the short-tempered Heavenly Goddess Lin Yu.
“You forced me to do this…” Heavenly Goddess Lin Yu’s expression darkened further, and she stared at An Lin as a red divine halo appeared where her heart was situated.

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.
