Chapter 1624: The Terrifying Blood Ghost Bats
An Lin, Xu Xiaolan, and Tina’s expressions all shifted upon hearing this.
Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong? That white humanoid creature was the most powerful being of the Sinister Spirit Beast Cesspool, the super mighty figure at the Dao Integration Pinnacle Stage, Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong?!
This was not good!
It was clearly not a good idea to initiate a battle now.
An Lin and the others had originally intended to finish the battle as quickly as possible and beat the Divine Bat Emperor into submission prior to Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong’s arrival, but who would have thought that they would be together?
No wonder even though the other two Dao Integration Stage mythological beasts had joined the Heavenly Human Tribe United Army, the Divine Bat Emperor and Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong had refrained from doing so. They were doing research within the Heavenly Beast Divine Mountain this entire time?!
An Lin looked at the Blood Ghost Bats, and for some reason, he was reminded of the zombies on Earth.
However, these Blood Ghost Bats were much more terrifying than zombies. Not only were they extremely fast and agile, but they could also fly and were capable of converting humans in less than a minute.
The rate at which these Blood Ghost Bats could spread was not something normal zombies could ever hope to compare with. Without timely intervention from a mighty figure, the entire Kingdom of the Nine States could very well be transformed into hell on earth by these Blood Ghost Bats.
Even if powerful cultivators did intervene, the Blood Ghost Bats were simply too fast, and if the intervention came just a tiny bit too slow, their spread would become incredibly difficult to quell!
If the Heavenly Human Tribe United Armies took the opportunity to attack the Kingdom of the Nine States at the same time, the external pressure and internal turmoil could bring the Kingdom of the Nine States to ruin…
An Lin’s expression became increasingly more grave the more he thought about this.
“In a battle against both the Divine Bat Emperor and Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong, we have a very low chance of winning,” Xu Xiaolan transmitted her voice to An Lin.

An Lin looked at the sinister Blood Ghost Bat within the cage, and he transmitted his voice in reply, “But we can’t back down from this battle. If these Blood Ghost Bats are allowed into the Kingdom of the Nine States, the consequences are going to be catastrophic…”
A vibrant smile appeared on Xu Xiaolan’s face. “What a coincidence, I was thinking the exact same thing.”
“Let’s fight them! Little Na isn’t scared either!” Tina was full of battle intent.
A super mighty figure at the Dao Integration Pinnacle Stage was a huge headache.
The God Engulfing Skeleton was such a super mighty figure, and it managed to escape even after An Lin, Xu Xiaolan, and Black Spirit Snake all combined their powers to try and bring it down.
Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong was on the same level as the God Engulfing Skeleton. At the same time, Black Spirit Snake was not here, and the enemy forces were boosted by the presence of the Divine Bat Emperor. This was going to be very difficult…
An Lin and Xu Xiaolan were adamant that these Blood Ghost Bats had to be buried here forever, but they had to think carefully about how they were going to make that happen.
If they rushed in recklessly, they would be very unlikely to prevent this sinister plan from going ahead, and they could quite possibly lose their lives in the process.
Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong extended a hand toward one of the Blood Ghost Bat. A white corkscrew turned in its hand, and the Blood Ghost Bat wailed with anguish before quickly aging and became riddled with wrinkles in a few seconds. Before even a minute had passed, it was reduced to a puddle of black blood.
“What a pity. These genetically modified Blood Ghost Bats have very weak life forces and can only live for about ten days or so…” Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“Haha… In ten days, all of the humans in the Kingdom of the Nine States are going to be transformed into Blood Ghost Bats! What does it matter if they all die after that?” The Divine Bat Emperor was undeterred by this finding.
“It’s a waste of a massive army…” Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong shook its head with a sigh.

Imagine an army of billions, even trillions of Blood Ghost Bats! Even if they were all quite weak, it would still be an extremely formidable army for the Sinister Spirit Beast Cesspool to have.
The two of them chatted with one another as they opened a door and made their way into another room.
Tina unleashed another one of her divine techniques, which would allow her to keep tabs on the location of these two Dao Integration Stage super mighty figures.
After the door closed, An Lin and the others finally emerged from the soil.
The Blood Ghost Bats were still howling and hissing as they clawed at the cage. They were clearly not very intelligent, and in that aspect, they could compete with the zombies on Earth.
“The most terrifying power in this world is not dependent on the caliber of the power, but instead, it was on how contagious the power is. The Divine Bat Emperor and Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong have invented something that is truly terrifying,” Xu Xiaolan said with a cold expression.
An Lin nodded upon hearing this. It was just like how humans had invented bombs but were still unable to eradicate locusts.
A bomb could explode and kill tens of millions of locusts, but that was it. There were still billions and trillions of locusts, and they reproduced faster than any bombs could kill them. In order to eradicate all locusts, something lethal and vastly contagious would have to be invented rather than something that was just outright powerful.
This was the same thought process behind the Divine Bat Emperor’s attempt here to eradicate the human race. By creating a terrifyingly contagious force in the form of these Blood Ghost Bats, it was trying to eradicate all of the mortals in the Kingdom of the Nine States.
Xu Xiaolan waved a hand through the air, and Holy Flames flashed past, instantly burning away all of the Blood Ghost Bats within the cage into nothingness.
“The Divine Bat Emperor must die!” Xu Xiaolan said in a firm voice.
An Lin nodded. “If we want to truly foil this plan, then we must kill it as it is the mastermind behind all of this. However, to be safe, we should ideally kill Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong as well.”
He unleashed his Earth Manipulation Technique again, and Tina guided him as they continued to follow the Divine Bat Emperor.
This time, they followed it into an incubation chamber.
An Lin could see over a thousand black eggs situated in a cavernous space, within which many beast tribe powerful beings were conducting all sorts of experiments.
The Divine Bat Emperor pointed at all of the eggs with a smile on its face. “Next, we’re going to be distributing these eggs in all cities and villages across the Kingdom of the Nine States to truly show them what hell on earth looks like!”
Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong nodded. “That’s great! We should act right away!”
“Hehehe… Does An Lin really think there is hope for the human race just because he destroyed one of the Heavenly Gates? True despair is only just about to descend upon them!” A sinister smile appeared on the Divine Bat Emperor’s face. “I’m really looking forward to seeing you in complete despair in the face of billions of Blood Ghost Bats…”
An Lin was astonished. The Divine Bat Emperor still hadn’t forgotten about him?
How long could this guy hold a grudge for?!
He didn’t know just how much of a shock the Divine Bat Emperor had received upon learning about how An Lin had resurrected and destroyed the Southern Heavenly Gate. It was reminded of the Kirin Blood Jade incident again, and it was overcome by rage and humiliation.
“Just you wait, An Lin…” The Divine Bat Emperor was suddenly filled with a sense of satisfaction and elation at the revenge it was finally going to be able to exact after a hundred years.
An Lin was enraged. Just how much did this b*stard hate him? Were all bats this petty?
“Let me predict how our operation is going to fare first.” Heavenly Venerate Yu Qiong produced a crystalline disc with countless blue light particles dancing within. It was just about to inject its vital energy into the disc when its body suddenly stiffened.

Smoking Bandits
With a gaze that was hard to describe, Lark stared at his body in the mirror. Not his body as a human, but his other body. Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. A moment later, he came out of the room wearing a combat dress, tactical belt with shoulder strap, and jungle boots. While inserting a magazine into an AK-102, Lark muttered. 'Whatever, time to hunt Orcs.' *****
